Walking past a beaming Alison, my eyes went round for Jenna. "Grow up, Alison."

I knocked on Wilson's door with Alison right behind me. I almost shit my guts when I heard him tell me to come in.

"You're in real trouble, Roxy."

I turned to her with as much self control as I could muster. I did not leave enough scratches and bruises on her face the last time, it seemed.

"And I cannot wait," her eyes narrowed as she stared at me and her hand moved like she was giving some victory speech, "for you to finally get fired."

With my eyeballs rolled to the sky, I pushed the door open.

"Roxy. You came." He smiled. "Have a seat." He waved at the black arm chairs in front of his desk. "I was beginning to believe you weren't a member of the staff anymore."

I cringed at the sarcasm as I did as I was told.

"I'm sorry I'm late. I got caught up with a few things."

"Perfect." He put away the files before him. "Now, where do we start? Your incompetence?" He looked up. "Inability to follow basic rules? Or lack of decency?"

My eyes fell shut at the tone of his voice. So eerily cold, I got goosebumps. I was so fired.

"I apologize once again for arriving late."

"I didn't ask for an apology."

Raising my head, I exhaled. "Pertaining to what happened yesterday, I apologize for my impulsive behavior and will see to it that it never happens again."

"Yeah, of course."

My eyes turned to Alison just in time to see her taking her hoodie off. A second later, yellow strands of hair went every which way as she shook her head. The thin blouse that came into view originally covered by her hoodie left nothing to the imagination. I quirked a brow at this.

"I'm really hot."

And stupid too. "As I said," I turned back to Wilson, "I'm-."

"I think it just got like eighty degrees in here."

Wilson's eyes went to switched on air conditioner before turning back to me. I took his looking at me as permission for me to continue, so I did.

"I will not be responsible, although, for-."

A stifled, annoying attempt at a moan filled the air and my eyes snapped immediately to the east wing of the office. My gaze sharpened to a glare when Alison's eyes met mine.

She turned to Wilson. "Can I have the remote control?"

"What remote control?" Wilson's eyes were focused on her chest for some reason.

"For the a/c."

While Wilson fiddled for the remote on his desk, I focused on Alison. "One more interruption, Alison, and I swear-."

"Thank you."

The sultry way her voice sounded as she reached to Wilson for the remote made me want to puke.

"Are you done?" I made sure my voice more than conveyed my unamusement. Turning to Wilson, I exhaled. "So-."

"So Roxy attacked me. Called me names. Insulted my family and said to make sure I stay out of her way."

My eyes grew wider and wider with each word.

"And you're going to fire her." She was already on her feet. "Clear?"

"Crystal," Wilson said while she planted herself on his desk.

I couldn't speak. For a few seconds, my body couldn't produce words. I only snapped back to reality when his hands dropped to her waist and a moan filled the air.

"Enough."

I expected a fight. An argument. Hell. Even an explosion but I did not expect live pornographic entertainment from these two.

"That's fucking enough!"

Alison's smile tore and clawed at my flesh. Fucking bitch.

"What? Jealous?"

"You really have no shame." I turned to Wilson. "Both of you."

"I'm still the authority around here. Sit back down and never think of raising your voice again."

"You've gone mad."

The looks on both Wilson and Alison's faces were priceless. Bet they weren't expecting that.

"You've gone mad if you think you can still command respect from me, Wilson."

Wilson stared at me with sinister eyes. "Oh really?"

I shrugged. "There's only one word for all this. Dirty. You're dirty. She's barely eighteen, you freak."

Alison avoided my eyes with a subtle eye roll and his grip on her waist loosened a bit. Still didn't stop him and bring him to his senses though. If anything, it infuriated him.

"Get out."

I quirked a brow at him.

"You're fired."

"You can't fire me." I grabbed my bag. "Cause I fucking quit."

Alison had slipped her shirt back on, although it made no difference if she didn't. It was practically transparent.

"One last thing." I smiled. "Go fuck yourself."

Alison stared at me like I was some strange animal. Especially because of how I treated her dear boss. They must have expected me to kneel and grovel. Idiots.

Wilson was the first to recover as he was hot on my heels when I exited his office.

"What happened?" Jenna was already beside me at the sight of Wilson.

"Roxanne is no longer a part of this establishment and as of today is not welcome in this premises."

My eyes already drifted to the door as Wilson addressed everyone. I was tired of the shit show.

"What do you mean?" Jenna looked from me to Wilson sincerely confused.

"She's fired." Alison stood beside Wilson like it was some form of honour. "That's what happens when you mess with me."

Jenna apron was already over her head. "If Roxy's leaving, I'm leaving."

"You've got to be fucking kidding me." Alison looked up in possible frustration.

"There's no need for you to do this." My hand went to Jenna's face so she'd look at me "It's okay."

"No! I've had enough of this charade," she said as she pushed past me to have a clearer view of Wilson.

"Then get out." Wilson was as calm and collected as ever. It was disgusting. "Come back tomorrow when the paper work will be ready for the termination of your contract."

My hands went to my hair as we hung at the side of the road waiting for a taxi. "You didn't have to do it."

"I'm leaving with Ed soon so...."

"Yeah," I smiled, "subtle reminder."

"Come on," she knitted her brows, "you still not okay with it?"

"I'm happy for you, Jenna. That's all that matters."

"How was it?" Jenna asked when we were finally settled in the cab.

"What?"

"Your meeting."

Oh, that.

My lips tipped downwards in consideration before I shrugged. "Peachy."

Jenna's face remained in a slight pout.

"Quit being serious." I nudged her.

She blinked.

"Fine, Jeez!" I raised my hands in the air before I told her everything.

Jenna stared right into my soul. "Why didn't you accept her offer?"

"We'll talk about it later," I said as I settled depper into the soft cushion of the taxi. I had successfully pushed all the thoughts away from the meeting till then and I didn't want to cry myself to sleep or have dreams about my parents and all the memories.

Jenna respected my silence. She ran soft fingers through my hair when I leaned on her.

"What about Eric?" her voice was soft, as a whisper.

My eyes fluttered open.

What about Eric?
