A Hired Husband For The Billionairess

Olivia is who you'd describe as rich, beautiful and arrogant. She considered herself a woman of worth who knew what she wanted and believed that there was nothing she couldn't get with money. When Olivia is almost cornered by her parents into accepting an arranged marriage, she desperately thinks of a way out and what better way out than using what she had the most to get her way? Scott had a goal but it most definitely had nothing to do with the wealth of the beautiful Olivia. When Scott Richardson is offered a deal to be his long time crush's husband, he wastes no time in accepting her proposal but unlike Olivia's belief that Scott only wanted her money, what Scott really wanted was to win the heart of the woman he loved by any means necessary. Will Scott finally break through the walls of the arrogant and unfriendly Olivia Octavio or will he simply remain as her hired husband for as long as she wished?

Chapter 11

"Are you still not going to tell me anything Liv? Seriously? I thought we were friends because you clearly told me the last time that you weren't getting married and now I'm hearing of your wedding preparations? You know, it's pretty sad and embarrassing that I, your supposed friend, is completely unaware of anything that's happening in your life right now. You don't even treat me like your actual friend or speak nicely to me even when I put up with you and now, I keep finding out things about you either online or when I call to ask around," Ciara voiced out, visibly disappointed.

She was pretty disappointed when she heard of Olivia's wedding preparations from her mother. Her father and Olivia's family have been friends for years and so have she and Olivia.

Although, Olivia had never really been nice to her and has always treated her like she wasn't her equal. Even at that, she put up with everything and was never really offended by her actions at all.

"Stop being so dramatic, Ciara. What's the big deal in whether or not you were aware of it? Besides, it's not like I actually planned for any of this to happen. Remember I told you the last time that I urgently needed a fake boyfriend because my parents were threatening to get me married to Thomas Hardy and thankfully, I was able to get one but when I finally found the perfect one and showed him to them, they suddenly insisted that I get married soon or choose to forfeit my position. All of this literally has nothing to do with me!" Olivia vented in frustration.

"So what you're telling me is, you've had absolutely no hand in this supposed wedding at all? It has been your parents all along and you didn't purposely keep it away from me?" Ciara asked as a smile crept up on her face.

The thought of Olivia not telling her anything before taking any such a big step hurt her but hearing that she had no hand in it and was just as surprised as she was made her feel a lot more relieved.

"Of course it had nothing to do with me. Do I look like I'm interested in getting married? I don't even see myself being a good wife to anyone," Olivia responded and Ciara chuckled.

"Oh come on Liv, don't say that. Marriage isn't all that bad. I mean, I can't speak from experience but I hear it has its fun side," Ciara told her in an attempt to encourage her and Olivia simply scoffed.

"Oh please spare me the rubbish Ciara. There's absolutely nothing fun about having to swear to God to spend the rest of your life with one person. Do you know how tasking and mentally draining it is to come home and realise that you can't even have your alone time cause one idiot is in your space and messing up your life? Don't even get me started on the fact that you'll be expected to have kids with him. How preposterous!" Olivia hissed and Ciara rolled her eyes.

"You know, for someone who's getting married soon, you sound awfully bitter and negative and I doubt that would do you any good at all. You wouldn't want your marriage to end on a bad note, would you?" Ciara told her and Olivia let out a dry laugh.

"You have absolutely no idea sweetie but I'll fill you in anyways but promise that whatever we say in this room, don't step out of the room cause if that happens, I'll kill you myself," Olivia warned.

"My mouth is a sealed baby girl. You know you can always trust me," Ciara assured her, wearing a curious look on her face.

"I'm gonna choose to trust you and I'll tell you but you better not tell anyone else or I swear to God, I'll legit use my bare hands to rip out your tongue," Olivia threatened again and Ciara rolled her eyes impatiently.

"Just spill it already and stop being so dramatic," she demanded.

"Okay, so the thing is, it's a contract marriage," Olivia informed.
