chapter one
" Raymond.... Raymond" I shouted as I tried to stand up ....but my back ache.
Why am I feeling pains ...where am i, what happened to me.
" Calm down miss .....let me turn the lights on..."
" Who are you and what am I doing here "
I asked the voice but did not get any reply that when the light was turn on.
" My eyes .....why is the room so bright..and who are you ....why am I in the hospital.
" Am the nurse in charge of taking care of you...
Let me inform your mom that your finally awake.
Am sure she will be very excited" .
She said as she took her phone and walk away.
What happening here I can't get my hand to remember...why I am In the hospital.
" Your mom is on her way..by the way am Stephie ....if you need any help just use the emergency phone beside you" ..
She said as she walk out...
" Excuse....me where is my phone I need to call someone"
" Am sorry ma. But I have no idea your mom is coming soon...so she will be in a better position to answer your question.
She said and walk out of the room.
I tried to lift my body up again but the pains where too much to handle.
So I just laid down waiting for my mom to get here.
I hope she comes along with Raymond...I really want to share with him about my job interview.
I was bored waiting for my mom ....that I suddenly doze off.
" Rachel..... Rachel.....mom is here to see you my angel" I heard a voice speak as I open my eyes.
" Mom..." I said as I look at her.
" Yes dear it me your mom.... don't stress yourself just stay down " mom said.
" Mom what happened to you ....you look so different .....and why am I In the hospital, where is Raymond and Helen.
Why are they not here.
" Calm down Rachel...one question at a time" mom scold.
" You where brought to the hospital four years ago....I thought this day will never come...
I always prayed for your safety...and thank goodness you came back to life.
" What four years in the hospital" I scream ...
" Yes sweetheart...I come here every year with your birthday cake to blow a candle with you hoping for your safety."
" How can that be possible mom ....I remember getting a job...and that when........
Oh my God the car accident."
" Yes dear....I was informed about your accident, that you where rushed down to this hospital.
We all thought it was a minor accident but everyday your situation will worsen."
Mom said .....tears fell down on her cheek as she explained bitterly I could see what she went through seeing your daughter spent four years in coma.
" Mom the is no need to cry ....am alright now..no longer in a coma. We can always be happy again." I console her.
" Yes you are right Rachel....my daughter is back.
" Mom can I get a hug, I think I really miss that.
" Alright sweet heart ....mom miss that too" mom said as she stood up from the stool and gave me a hug.
In this moment of hugging my mom I felt a relieved in my heart.
I wonder her she survive without me on her side.....
" Mom I promise never to leave you again for that long " I told my mom as tears drop down my cheeks.
" Please don't ever leave me again ok, mom can't take it again." She said and gave me another hug.
"Ok enough with the emotions how are you feeling now my dear" .
" Now that your here by my side mom am feeling better"
" That my daughter...get well soon so I can take you back home " . Mom said as she gave me a hug.
" Ok mom i promise " I said as lifted up my hands in the air and my mom laughed.
" Mom what of Raymond...why is he is not here" ...
" Mhmm Raymond is busy now .... I will contact him later alongside Helen.
" Ok mom but can I get my phone back "
" No Rachel ....you can't get a phone ...you need to leave the hospital first ...
Then we can get a new phone.
" A new phone...why??..
" Sweet heart the old one was damage four years ago by that accident." Mom said as she held my hands.
" Ok mom I will manage moreover i will get out of here very soon.
I really what to talk to Raymond."
I told Mom.
" Excuse me mrs Adam can I get a word with you " a doctor stood at the door.
" Excuse me Rachel I need to go with the doctor I will get back to you soon".
" No problem mom take your time it should be important." I told her as I nodded my head to ensure her I was ok waiting for her.
I watch as she stood up from the stool and walk towards the direction of the doctor....
I wanted to eardrops on their conversation but the distance was too far.
I wonder what the could be discussing....
I took my eyes to the ceiling as I began to count the lines in the ceiling.
This is what I love doing. Whenever am bored and I don't have anything to do.
That reminds me of my diary I wonder how the poor thing is doing without me.
I really miss writing...I really want to write but unfortunately to me my diary is far away from me.
I wonder how Raymond is doing ....was he worried when he heard about my accident.
Is he still in love with me after seeing me spend four years in the hospital...
Can things still come back to normal for our relationship like those days in college when he can't stay a day without seeing me.
Am I still having a place In his heart...cause he still has a place in my heart .....
This question keep running in my head because of the fear of loosing him.
I can't bear the pains of letting go.
" Rachel why are you conceiving all this thoughts in your heard your Raymond loves you and he can never stop loving no matter the circumstances ....that was his promise to you" .
I told my self as I finally took a deep breath and laid down.
Waiting for my mom to return.
