Feng Mian really wanted to cry. Back when there were Zhang Liang's other siblings, Zhang Yi sounded much more amiable. Probably, it was also because they were all busy bantering with each other, so he didn't wish to interrupt the youngsters' fun.

But now, there were only her and Zhang Liang inside the room. He had started his questioning again.

Zhang Liang shot a glare at his father. "Just ask Xue."

"I want from both of you," Zhang Yi rolled his eyes. Couldn't his son act nice once in a while and do what he wanted?

Unfortunately, he knew that Zhang Liang was very hard headed. He would not do anything that he didn't want to do. Even if he tried to pressure his son to follow his words, Zhang Liang would surely find a way to evade him at all cost.

"Someday," Zhang Liang replied nonchalantly. At that moment, Zhang Liang's phone suddenly rang. He took out his phone and frowned when he saw the caller. "I'll be back."

Zhang Yi sighed when Zhang Liang already walked out of the room. He looked at Feng Mian, whose cheek had turned red like a tomato. In front of his son, he would surely berate Zhang Liang heavily, but if it was Feng Mian, he wouldn't want to make her that uncomfortable.

"Do you have any reason why you pick this sweet company? I'm sure there are many choices for your internship."

When Feng Mian began her internship, the company's owner had changed to Zhang Liang. Zhang Yi no longer took care of the matter of the company anymore after he had handed it to Zhang Liang, so he didn't know that they also began to accept internships for their design.

Usually, he had a high standard and didn't accept newcomers easily. However, Zhang Liang wanted to expand the company, so he began to target internships. If they could work well in the company, they would be offered to continue working part time until they graduated and could work full time.

Feng Mian was included in those few people, which clearly showed that she must have good talent too.

"Ah, I got rejected by several companies when I tried to apply, so I just tried all the companies that I have interest in," Feng Mian admitted.

When they all first began their internship semester, she also applied to many places. However, when everyone who applied had started to get accepted one after another, Feng Mian still didn't receive any call.

Because of that, she filled applications again and again to many different companies. Back then, she no longer cared for the type of work that she applied in. No matter if it was actually her second, third, or even fourth choice, she just applied all. In the end, she received a few calls for interviews.

She only got accepted by two companies. Since Zhang Liang's sweet company called her first, she came to this company and rejected the other one.

However, she never thought that they would give her an offer to continue working in the company. Even though only as a part timer designer, it was already very great for her because she could earn money.

Zhang Yi nodded. "It must be not easy."

"Yes, but I think everyone must have experienced it back when they're still university students."

When everyone started, they were all just nobodies. They have to path their own way slowly from the bottom. Some people climb faster because of their capabilities and maybe, luck. Other people climbed slower but at a steady pace. One step at a time.

Of course, there were also people who already had better start from the beginning. After all, everyone's background family would be different.

Zhang Yi nodded. "I wish you luck, Mian'er. For both your career and for giving me a grandchild."

Feng Mian was about to thank him but her words stuck in her throat. She was speechless. It seemed that Zhang Yi was determined to have her giving him a grandchild as soon as possible. Unless she gave him a grandchild, he would never stop asking it from her.

Zhang Liang entered the room and looked at Zhang Yi. "Your friend is in your house, Father. He's been trying to call you since this morning."

Zhang Yi rolled his eyes and rushed out of the house while turning his phone on. He needed to call his friend and told him why he didn't entertain his guest even though he was the one who invited the other party.

Zhang Liang kept his phone and walked to the sofa. He sat down in front of Feng Mian. "Butler Lou will finish taking the photos soon. Meet me in my room later to arrange it."

"Ok," Feng Mian nodded. She looked at Zhang Liang hesitantly. "Um, are you not… busy?"

Not busy?

If he had to be honest, he was in the middle of a meeting when Butler Lou gave him a message, informing him that Zhang Yi had come. He nearly ended the meeting right away if not because it was important. In the end, he had to wait another five minutes before concluding and gave instructions to his men then rushed to his car to go home as fast as possible.

He had also texted Secretary He to send him the material and documents that he needed to review tonight.

Zhang Liang sighed. "Don't worry about it. You can take a bath first then we're going to eat dinner together."

"It's already the time to eat dinner?" Feng Mian was stunned. She looked around, searching for a clock. Seeing the time, she realized that it was still evening. Dinner should be in around one to two hours.
