1-A Vs. 1-B: Joint Training!

The fall wasn't filled with a whole lot. If anything, just study after study! The winter season was coming up soon before we knew it!

"Alright, everyone. Today will be simple. You'll need to come up with a design for you winter hero costumes." Mr. Aizawa told us.

Well, although I really like the design of my suit, it was getting really cold out there! What should I do for my costume, anyway? I mean, it is cold, but my Overdrive sort of serves as a built-in heater. Wait, I just remembered something! I wanted to add a side pocket and some capsules I can store Overdrive in! If I can give people my Overdrive for a short amount of time, maybe I can store it as well! After class ended, I rushed over to the workshop room.

"Hatsume-san! I've got something for you!" I exclaimed.

"What is it?! Let me see, let me see!" Hatsume grinned.

She took the piece of paper out of my hands, "So, you want some sort of compartment you can store stuff in?"

"Yep! Would it be possible if I could store a little bit of my Quirk in it?" I wondered.

"Sooooo, like a reserve, right? I can do that! I'll whip up a batch of these babies!" She laughed and started to get to work.

She flew through a whole bunch of those capsules! She was also doing something to the new suit as well, I couldn't tell what she was doing though.

"Tadah! How's this baby look? Tell me!" She exclaimed.

Not only did she add that side pocket, but she completely customized it too! It had some sort of black fur on the shoulders, and phoenix symbols on my shin guards!

"Woah, this looks amazing! Thank you so much, Hatsume-san!" I complimented.

She really was a genius! I couldn't believe how awesome my hero costume looked!

"Eh, don't mention it! I love this stuff!" She smiled.

[3 Days Later...]

Mr. Aizawa led us to Ground Gamma. We going to be doing some training with Class 1-B! We got to the grounds and Class 1-B shortly arrived.

"Well! We meet again Class 1-A! That concert you guys put was something... BUT NOT AS GOOD AS OUR PLAY!!" Monoma yelled.

Oh boy, here we go with his ranting, again... I'd rather hear Bakugo's screaming for hours on end than this egomaniac.

"As a matter of fact, we all voted for our play after seeing how the response to it was! And-" Mr. Aizawa cut Monoma off, thankfully.

"That's enough. Alright, as a reminder, today we're holding a joint training session between both Class 1-A and 1-B. We'll be dividing you up into teams of 4." He told us.

Wait, teams of four, but that would mean one of us would have to sit out, right?

"I know what you're all thinking, but we have a guest joining us today." Mr. Aizawa announced.

It was Shinso! What was he doing here?

"Hitoshi Shinso will be joining us today; he's being reviewed for consideration into the hero course." He explained.

Woah, this was interesting! I wonder how Shinso fights? I honestly couldn't wait to see it!

"Hey, I'm not much for reintroduction, but as Mr. Aizawa said, I'm Hitoshi Shinso. I plan on getting into this course, even if that means I have to get through all of you." He stated.

He looked over at Deku, then looked back towards Mr. Aizawa and Mr. King.

"So, how this'll work, you'll each draw lots, this will split you up into 5 teams of four. In this case, Shinso and someone of his choosing will be on two teams instead of one. This evens it out, so nobody has to sit out while everyone else does the work." Mr. King instructed.

"So, Shinso, who'll it be?" Mr. Aizawa asked.

Shinso looked around, "How about..."

"...You." Shinso pointed at... Mineta?!

"W-WHAT?!? Me?! Why me!? Why not someone like Midoriya or Bakugo!?" He yelled.

He's got a point; wouldn't it be easy to just single out the strongest people in both classes and choose one of them? You'd be worn out after the first battle!

"From what I've heard, you need the training, am I wrong?" Shinso smirked.

Mineta gulped and looked petrified. I ended up on team 6 with Deku, Uraraka, and Mina. We were going up against Monoma, Shinso, Yui Kodai, Nirengeki Shoda, and Reiko Yanagi. Looks like we're going to have to pull out all the stops on this one!

"So, here's the rules, each of you must view the other team as the villains, and you need to capture one another. The team that captures four people and places them inside an Irredeemable Jail Cell wins. Teams of five, you'll still lose even if four of your members are jailed, so don't get cocky. Each team starts at their own base and each match is 20 minutes long. If you happen to run out of time, the team with the most captured wins." Mr. Aizawa explained.

[1 Hour Later...]

This was insane! Seeing everyone's Quirks in action was amazing!

"Well, you guys are up next, good luck!" Momo cheered.

"Yep! We're gonna win this for sure!" I smiled.

Now, it was our turn! We got to our base, and the match started.

We ran out of our base, "So, do we have a plan?"

"Yeah, try not to get captured!" Mina shouted.

Easier said than done, I bet. I heard... Momo's voice?

"Alyx, do you think I'm pretty?" Momo questioned.

I was just about to answer when I saw Shinso hanging from a pipe! How'd he do that?

"What's wrong," Shinso asked in Momo's voice, "Afraid to answer me?"

Damn it, if I did anything, I'd risk getting brain washed or captured! This wasn't good! I felt someone touch my back.

"Gotcha..." Monoma smiled.

H-He planned this! Why exactly did Monoma touch me though? Was he going to capture me?

"Thank you so much for giving me your Quirk! Now I can flash one of the golden boys' Quirk off in front of his face!" Monoma yelled.

I looked back and noticed that Shinso was nowhere to be seen.

"What the hell do you mean? I didn't give you my Quirk, I have to activate my Quirk in order to-" Before I could finish, Monoma was using Mode Two! How?!

"W-Woah... No way..." I muttered.

How was he able to handle that?

"Let's dance, 1-A!" He laughed.

Monoma darted towards me, this was the first time in a while that I've fought someone who could match my speed! I only had enough time to activate Mode One as I guarded against his blows, each hitting faster than the last.

"What's wrong?! I thought you Class 1-A clowns were supposed to be the best! Maybe everyone was wrong!!" He shouted.

I was struggling to block all of his attacks; he's already somehow gotten my Quirk down to a T!

"Come on, come on! Do something already! Or are you too scared of Class 1-B's Power!?" He yelled.

I felt my blood boil, this was getting annoying!

"URAAHH!" I roared and blasted Monoma back into a steel pipe.

"Alright... Now... You've got me pissed! If that's Class 1-B's power, then I'll show you Class 1-A's!!" I shouted.

I went into Mode Two and my Quirk erupted! Monoma rushed me and tried to punch me, I caught his fist, and the impact made a loud boom! I pulled him forward and headbutted him. Then, he rebounded and tried to high kick me! His movements, they were somewhat predictable, maybe he didn't know how to use my Quirk? I dodged his high kick, and palmed his stomach, which sent him back. He charged at me with his right arm out, I grabbed it and slammed him to the ground! He got right back up and uppercut me! Right before I could do anything else, I heard something.

"What the...?" I muttered.

I looked up and saw black tendrils coming towards me! What the hell is that?! Whose Quirk is that? I grabbed Monoma and jumped into the air as the tendrils destroyed the area we were at.

"W-What are you doing?! Get your hands off me!" He demanded.

I looked down at him, "What? You wanted to get killed or something?"

I looked back to see where the source of these things were coming from. I closed my eyes to search for any heat energy, it was coming from... Deku? I saw Uraraka holding on to Deku, Shinso was trying to do something, maybe try to brainwash him! But those tendrils, they were going all over the place, Deku couldn't control whatever that stuff was!

"We're going in, get ready!" I told Monoma.

"W-Wait! You can't-" Before he could say anymore, we flew straight towards Deku!

Those tendrils were everywhere, I was dodging most of them, then one was coming from behind me! Monoma shot out some sort of blast using my Overdrive and knocked it away!

"Nice shot!" I complimented.

We were getting close, close enough that I could create a force shield to keep those tendrils inside!

"Uraraka-san! I'm making a shield around you and Deku-kun. Shinso-san, whatever you're trying to do, do it now!" I yelled to them.

I put my hands on the ground and created a shield around them large enough to contain those tendrils.

"H-Hurry up!" I shouted.

Those tendrils were damaging my shield! I saw Monoma put his hands down on the ground next to me, he added onto my shield!

"You didn't really think I'd let Class 1-A steal the show, did you?!" He yelled.

Shinso managed to brainwash Deku, thankfully. Those tendrils stopped coming out of Deku's arms. I was breathing heavily, that shield took almost everything I had! I looked over and saw that Monoma disappeared!

"Leonidus-san! Are you alright?" I heard Uraraka ask.

I looked up and saw Deku and Shinso fighting! I looked over to Uraraka.

"Y-Yeah... I'm... Okay..." I reassured as she helped me up.

I couldn't move my arms! This wasn't going to be good for me at all...

"S-Shit..." I muttered.

"What? Are you hurt?" She wondered.

I nodded my head, I felt completely out of it. I turned my head and saw that Monoma was gone. Uraraka carried me over to hide behind a pipe.

"H-Hey... In my pouch... I have reserve capsules of Overdrive. Can... Can you heal me, please?" I panted.

"Okay, I think I can- Wait... What was that?" She told me.

Something hit the ground a few feet away from us. I saw something fly out from one of the pipes in the distance and increase in size! It was a huge hex nut and it was coming straight for us! Although I couldn't move my arms, I could still use my legs. I jumped up and kicked the hex nut, splitting it in half and sending the pieces flying away from us. Yui and Reiko appeared a few feet in front of us.

"Nice tricks you've got, but it's gonna take a bit more than a few giant hex nuts to take us down!" I shouted to them.

Uraraka and I stood at the ready, I could tell this one was gonna be good! In all honesty, I didn't want to hurt either Reiko or Yui, they were really sweet and kind hearted people. I only had to make sure that I captured them and brought them both to our jail cell in our base.

*THIRD PERSON*

"Oh man, this doesn't look good! Alyx isn't able to use his arms!" Kaminari pointed out.

"He might've overused his Quirk, but it only seems to be affecting his arms, we still have a shot at this! If I know Alyx well enough, he sure as hell will find a way to win." Sero added.

Momo leaned forward and watched as the two stood off against Yui and Reiko.

She placed her hand on her face, "He's definitely got this, judging by his facial expressions and body language, he knows what to do against them. Although his arms are locked up, it does not mean he can't use them as impromptu weapons neither does that mean he can't fight only using his legs."

Alyx stepped forward and smiled at the two girls.

"Uraraka-san, if I may?" Alyx asked.

She looked confused but nodded anyway. Alyx smiled and returned his attention to Yui and Reiko.

"Alright, I'll take you on, the both of you!" Alyx beamed.

"W-WHAT?!" Everyone observing shouted.

The two girls were busy focused on Alyx, they didn't even notice that Uraraka had disappeared, she made her way behind Reiko. Uraraka chopped the back of Reiko's neck and she fell unconscious.

"Reiko-san!" Yui shouted.

Yui sent a horde of items towards Uraraka and Leonidus. Alyx quickly stood in front of Uraraka and activated Mode Two.

"DORARARARA! DORARARARA!!" He shouted.

Alyx delivered a Dorarara Rush using his right leg, knocking away and splitting the objects in front of him. It seemed like an endless wave of items!

"S-Shit... If this keeps up, I won't have a leg to stand on!" Alyx thought to himself.

"Uraraka-san! Move!" Alyx shouted.

Uraraka listened and hid behind a metal pipe with Reiko. As more items came towards Leonidus, he began to run out of ideas.

The items got closer to Alyx as he closed his eyes. Seemingly, he dodged all of the items without failure! But to the others, it looked as if he never even moved an inch at all!

"W-What... How did he...?" Mr. Aizawa wondered.

The entire battlefield stopped and watched as Alyx stood motionless, Yui took the opportunity and ran. Even Monoma had a rather fearful look on his face!

"There's no possible way for her to have missed any of those. She should've hit Leonidus-kun without failure but... He didn't even move, or did he?" Iida noted.

"I'm not sure, I've never seen anything like this before. At the speed he was going in Mode Two, there's no way he would've dodged all of those without taking a couple hits here and there from Yui-san. This is most definitely something else, perhaps Mode Three?" Momo responded.

"It can't be, he doesn't look any different from his other Modes, plus his Quirk isn't even active anymore! Doesn't he have some sort of big swooshy aura around him all the time?" Kaminari added.

A strange aura appeared around Alyx's body, it had only outlined his body, everyone watched on in anticipation. His eyes finally opened, revealing dark glowing blue eyes. Alyx took a deep breath in and the light from his eyes faded back into their normal ocean blue color. Alyx fell over onto the ground and Uraraka rushed over to him.

"Okay Ochako... His pouch thingy has to have something in it!" She remembered.

Uraraka flipped Alyx over and opened the pouch. She pulled out a vial of Overdrive and it swarmed around her hand.

"Oh! Tingly!" She giggled.

She stared at her hand, "So... Do I just put my hand on him?"

Uraraka placed her hand on his chest and the Overdrive began to work its magic.

*LEONIDUS' P.O.V*

I slowly opened my eyes and saw that Uraraka was healing me.

"D-Did... Did we win?" I muttered.

"Not yet, we still have our hands full!" She replied.

Although she healed me up a bit, my arms were still locked up. I wasn't sure what was going on with them.

[Several Minutes Later...]

We managed to win against Monoma's team with a perfect 4-0! Although it was a bit of a struggle since I couldn't move my arms. What was going on? First, Deku's arms go out of control with tendrils, and now mine feel completely locked up! After the training, we heard that Shinso was going to be in the hero course next year! Awesome!

"Everything alright?" Mr. Aizawa asked me.

"Y-Yeah! I'm okay! Just a bit stiff in the arms, but I'm fine!" I reassured Mr. Aizawa and he simply nodded.
