141 Growing Up, Life Loses it's Magic

The warehouse door opens with a bang, and I look up, down? At the door from where I am hanging by my ribbons, upside-down in the centre of the room, using another, thinner ribbon to play a game of solitaire, since I can't reach the floor with my hands.

Into the room walk a dozen or so people, nearly half of whom smell like cape, the others just being normals.

Billy is in the lead, and he, alongside the rest of them, pause as soon as they entre, taking in the sight.

The room is completely silent, and the strobe lights have all been turned off, though the disco ball is still spinning, because at least that wasn't offensive to my senses.

Every person who was in the room when I got here is also still here, except they are all hugging the walls, keeping as far away from me as they can and staying absolutely silent. All except for, fucking... I forgot his name again.

The cape guy, is sitting a short distance away from me, his arm missing up to around the middle of his forearm. Oh, and he's covered in blood, especially around his mouth.

Billy and his entourage all stop to stare at him, taking in the blood, the maiming, the tear tracts and depressed expression.

Honestly, the guy is such a pussy. He only lost a limb, it's not like it even hurts that bad, and I even cauterised the wound for him so that he wouldn't bleed out!

Some people are just ungrateful.

Pouting slightly, I dissolve my ribbons, spinning while in the air to land on my feet, yet, my right foot only gets to brush against the ground, a featherlike touch that makes no sound, before I 𝘭𝘢𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘩 myself at Billy.

I am 𝘧𝘢𝘳 faster now than I was when we last fought, and I can tell that my speed surprises him by the way his brows raise, but he was clearly expecting the attack since he still manages to block my telegraphed lunge and flip me over him, bodily throwing me out of the building and down the street.

I hit a wall feet first and absorb all the impact by bending my knees, once more making not a sound and leaving the wall unharmed.

Unfortunately for the local masons, that doesn't remain the case as Billy appears before me with all the subtlety of a hand grenade the next moment, blowing me through the wall.

I'm sure the explosion would have set the building on fire too, but thanks to the general decrepit nature of the surroundings, that's not really going to be an issue.

Instead of thinking about that, I spin around with a kick aimed behind me. As predicted, Butcher appears, but he appears out of reach of my leg.

However that doesn't matter, as I push my power through my leg and create a tentacle that extends from my foot to extend my reach, allowing my strike to land square on Butcher's chest.

𝘛𝘩𝘶𝘥.

The impact only sends him back a couple of steps, and he quickly retaliates by drawing one of his short swords and cutting my extended appendage clean off.

Unfortunately for him, I have some new tricks this time.

With a grin, I charge at him, and right as he moves to meet my charge, the tentacle he cut off suddenly comes to life, jumping forth to wrap around his legs right as I am piercing towards his chest with a hand full of claws.

Naturally, he disappears right before my claws reach him, and I spin around as fast as I can, hoping to catch him before he gets his guard up, but by the time I'm facing him, I have to block a pair of strikes instead.

As we are clashing, Billy speaks up. "You may be faster now, but you're not fast enough to match teleportation."

I respond my launching a spartan kick that hits nothing but air, and as if to accentuate his point, Butcher appears behind me, to which my blood spikes out of my back at him, whereupon he appears by my side instead, not using a sword and simply choosing to punch my square in the temple.

My body ragdolls a short distance away, mostly because I don't bother trying to orient myself until right before I land, and I feel my skull click back into place before my feet even touch the ground.

Instead of charging straight back at him however, I take a moment, a moment that he allows me, to crack my neck, followed by doing the same to my fore and middle fingers, using my thumb.

Then I look up at him with a grin even wider than before. "I'm not fast enough?" I ask as a pair of beautiful wings erupt from my back, light sparks dancing between the pair and over my body, "wanna bet on that?"

Not giving him the chance to respond, I fall forwards, catching myself in a sprinter's crouch where the sparks now dancing around my wings suddenly expand until my entire body is sparking and the next moment I 𝘣𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘵 forward with speeds I've never reached by myself before.

I cross the distance between us faster than a blink, and it feels like time slows down as I perceive the world faster, allowing me to catch every moment of surprise on Billy's face as his eyes widen ever so marginally.

Funnily enough, he started reacting the moment my hands touched the ground, which means I now have a proper measure of his danger sense power.

Even at the speed I am travelling, fast enough that the air feels like a physical barrier slowing me down, Billy still disappears from in front of me, teleportation being instantaneous.

But while his power doesn't have a cooldown, his human brain does, enhanced or not. He has to process his arrival and then process his next teleportation.

All said, accounting for danger sense and any other enhancements, that's probably about a tenth of a second before he teleports again.

So with my new level of speed, I manage to spin around, ignoring the flames of his teleportation's explosions, and swing another blow at Billy before he can do anything.

He disappears again, but I was closer this time, and the next time I am even closer, which is why he decides to teleport away instead, but I'm not done yet.

Less than a second after he appears, fifty metres away from me, and I am already right in front of him again, unrelentingly chasing him, so fast that I every time I pause, I hear the sounds of the air tearing behind me catching up.

I'm moving faster than sound, if barely.

Letting out a half mad cackle, I continue my chase. Every time I'm about to hit him, he disappears, and every time, I am there before he can even try and launch an attack.

It's depressing though.

This feels nothing like last time.

It takes me a moment to understand why, but the second I draw blood it becomes clear to me.

He just isn't a challenge anymore.

He can't kill me.

A profound sadness fills me at the realisation, making me pause in my offensive for just a second. But a second is all he needs, and Billy takes the opportunity to cut my head clean off.

It's reattached before he can even recover from the swing.

The wound tried to fester, but it was just gone before that power could even do anything.

I've outgrown him.

All of a sudden, my desire to fight evaporates, and I spring the trap I had been preparing, no longer feeling like bothering.

The earth around us erupts in tentacles that I had been burying as we fought, and they immediately either just take up space, or wrap around Billy, holding him in place.

He could teleport away, but all around us is a field of my blood, taking up space like a bamboo field. If he teleports, he'll probably just die.

He lost.

I won.

I won, so why do I feel so hollow?

Letting out a sigh, I throw my worries away and approach Billy with a smug smile and a saunter in my step. "Looks like I was fast enough, huh?~ What are you doing down there anyway?~ Did you drop something?~"

Giving me a deadpan look, Billy appears two feet higher, standing upright above where he was in an explosion of fire.

...Right, I didn't put anything to block him from just going up.

"Whatever, I would have won anyway!" I exclaim with a pout, crossing my arms under my bust, pleased with the way the action drags his eyes, "and since I've won, it's only right that I get to have my way with you!~"

The look he gives me is of both exasperation and bone deep annoyance, the latter of which I am pretty sure is due to the voices more than me.

"Naturally," is his dry response.

"I knew you'd see it my way.~"

If there's one thing that will always make me feel better, it's kinky sex, and having sex with thirteen people in one body has got to be like, maximum levels of kinkiness, especially the large amounts of violence I'm expecting there to be.

If the bed isn't dyed red from blood by the end, then I'm going to be disappointed.

As we start heading back, we were only fighting for about ten minutes, but we're still a solid few city blocks away from where we started, our romantic night-time stroll is rudely interrupted by a pair of vans sporting the PRT logo.

They're interrupting my Butcher time 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯?

I get the urge to just kill them all, but I don't want to give Legend a reason to hate me. I mean, it's not like I think he's a fan or anything, but there's no reason to make it personal with him.

I already have one third of the Triumvirate with a grudge against me, no need to piss Legend off as well. Besides, the dudes actually pretty cool. Him being openly gay while also being one of the greatest heroes ever has made people a lot more receptive to accepting gay relationships.

Though, as a woman that wouldn't have been much of an issue anyway, because everyone knows that two dudes is gay, but two women is just sexy.

The world is unfair like that.

So instead of following my knee jerk reaction, Billy and I simply come to a stop, watching placidly as the same two women from last time come out of a van each.

At the very least, it cheers me up to see that the cape I never bothered to learn the name of is looking at me with incredible amounts of fear.

It makes sense I suppose. Since we last met, my reputation has gone through something of a apotheosis, meanwhile I still don't know her name. Clearly she's realised just how close she was to dying and being eaten back then.

Prism is as calm and collected as ever though, so props to her.

"Whaddaya want Heroes? You're interrupting date night,~" I say with a whine that hides very real threat, which Prism thankfully picks up on.

"Nothing like that, Tear. We simply got word that the two of you were fighting, and are simply investigating the reason." She sounds perfectly pleasant, despite who we are, which I find funny enough to not brush her off.

"Aren't you two heroes? Shouldn't you be fighting till the last to stop us or something?" I ask, genuinely curious as to what she will say.

I don't know if she's smiling behind the mask, but it feels like she is. A fake smile mind you, like those customer service once, but still.

"We are well aware that that is not a fight we would win, and despite having a kill order, your abolishment of the Nine has earned you a great deal of goodwill Tear. I'm not sure you realise just how big of a deal that was to a lot of people. There have even been protests saying that your kill order should be revoked you know? So we are only here to understand why you are fighting, and whether or not it will evolve into something we will have to try and stop, as well as how long you will be staying here?"

Her words shock me into silence for a moment, because I really didn't think of ending the Nine as that big of a deal. I just didn't want the others to be following me around all the time. I like my freedom.

The fact that people are protesting in my favour is incredibly funny though. What kind of idiot do you have to be to side with the serial killer cannibal?

Ah well, I don't care.

"Well, I don't think you'll have to worry about that,~" I say, sparing Billy a glance to see that he's zoned out, probably talking with the others, maybe even planning out some kinky sex. Great, now I'm horny again, "I was just saying hello, won't happen again, promise!~ And I'll probably not be in town for too long, a month at most, but I was only supposed to be here for a week anyway.~ If that's all, we were about to go have incredibly rough and kinky sex, the kind of shit you'd see in a hardcore snuff production, y'know?~ So if you don't mind...?"

At my leading words, Prism gets the idea, and the other one flinches back in what can only be embarrassment. "Ah, I apologise for interrupting then. ...Enjoy?"

"Oh I 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘰,~" I say, dropping my voice to a low purr as I grab Billy's arm between my breasts and start skipping away, dragging him with me.

Oh fuck, I just remembered that I totally forgot to put on my black lipstick that I bought especially for this outfit!

Ah well, kinky sex is more important.

Hmmm, but lipstick is important for kinky sex.

...I can probably borrow some.

With thoughts of debauchery, we head back to the hideout, completely ignoring the heroes and anything else they had to say, and soon enough, we are committing acts that are in no way sanctioned by The Bible.

All the night does is confirm one thing for me.

Kinky sex really 𝘪𝘴 the best sex.

A/N: He~llo! Dear readers!

Got 400 words into this chapter before I had to look back at an older chap for reference and got so distracted that I wrote a whole ass different chapter, then had to come back to this one for the sake of continuity (which I get seriously orgasmic for, I fucking love continuity)

Also, I've said that both of my mc's are quasi-SI, but while that is still true, I can honestly say that the more I write Lusia, the more she is becoming her own person, unlike Hana who, due to the nature of sociopathy, remained pretty stagnant at the core, even if he did grow up too.

But like, Lusia is developing traits that I certainly don't have and that I definitely didn't put inside of her when I created her, like the super kinky sex. Not really my thing, hardcore porn makes me wanna gag, some of the shit they do is fucking disgusting imo, and I'm a pretty possessive person, which is something a commenter asked about with Lusia, and I can confirm that she is not possessive in the slightest.

Also it's 5 in the morning and I am gonna sleep sleep now.

Also also, since the next chapter is smut, I'm gonna do my first ever double upload for this fic, because I know there might be some of you who don't want to read smut, so I figure that this way everyone can enjoy their daily upload :)
