CHAPTER 1 : RIMURU NATSUKI

A little boy at the age of five is walking around the park. His golden eyes shone as he looks at the sky.

"Rimuru! Come play with us!", the kids would shout out calling the boy to join them in their little game.

" Go on, Rimuru. They're inviting you to join their game. It will be rude if you keep on declining them", Naoko, his so-called mother told him as she gently pushed Rimuru towards the other kids.

Rimuru would always decline politely whenever they would ask him out to play with them. He is pretty much preoccupied with his thoughts.

What do I do... It's been years since I arrived here....

I don't know what to do...

There's no one to guide me now. I have been calling out to the Great Sage but there's no respond. Something must have happened to her or...maybe she had just abandoned me.

What are you thinking Rimuru! She isn't like that. Remember that she helped you from the start of your reincarnation on the other world. I musn't jump to conclusions.

Well, at least I'm living with a loving family. Away from any danger.

Naoko Natsuki along with her husband Kenichi Natsuki had adopted me as their child when I was a month old. I've heard from their conversations that I have been abandoned on the sidewalk.

Who the hell abandons their child on the sidewalk?

I thought that there must be some clues on what happened to me on the place that I was been found so I secretly went there.

And guess what! It looks like the same place that I have been killed when I was still Mikami Satoru.

It seems that I came back to Japan but with a different body... If I really did die again... Does that mean that this is my second reincarnation!?

Nah that's not it... This place seems a little off. To be honest, I have been seeing some creepy creatures which is somehow cannot be seen by others.

I don't like it.

But that's not what is troubling me right now.

I cannot use any of my abilities right now. I can't even turn into my slime form. I guess I'm back to zero again.

And I kinda miss talking to the great sage...

"Rimuru... "

I also miss the others... except for Shion's cooking though

Oh! And right! Something wasn't right before I was sucked into the portal. After doing my work, I tried to return myself back to the Federation but the skill I usually use doesn't activate. Then the Great Sage told me that the Transfer skills are sealed due to me being inside a wide-range barrier. That's all where I got a bad feeling.

A feeling of impending doom that I have never felt before.

That time, all my senses are sounding the alarm.

'Have I fallen into a trap?'

That's the thought that lingered into my mind.

I did try calling for Ranga from within my shadow, but he did not respond.

Then that woman came. The one who had completely isolated me from the outside world.

"Rimuru! Good gracious! Can you even hear me? I'm talking here!"

Eh? Huh?..

Oh... Naoko- or shall I say mother, had been talking to me.

"W-what are you trying to say, mom?"

Woah... I never felt this shy before. Calling someone mother.

"Your father had been assigned to work in Sendai. We should pack up our things now. We'll be moving there next week, alright?"

I have no problem with that.

"Okay mom"

But I'm still not used to calling her mother.

Men, women and even children.

Suddenly, a little girl clothed in white clothes came walking inside the place. She has the features of an albino, with her white hair, pale complexion , white eyelashes, but the one that stands all is her icy blue eyes.

She walked towards Rigurd , the prime minister of the Federation.

"It seems there's quite a massacre that happened a while ago"

Rigurd looked at the girl and knelt down trembling as he explained,

"A while ago, we were attacked by a group which identified themselves as the followers of the Western Saint's Church.

We suddenly lost contact with other groups especially to Lord Rimuru, and due to the sudden lethargy we felt...

Furthermore, we were attacked by a group which disguised themselves as adventurers"

Next, a Hobgoblin elder continued

"As our Lord Rimuru ordered, we welcomed the humans with respect without harming them... "

"Fool! Are you trying to say this is Rimuri-sama's fault! "

Rigurd countered, enraged.

"F-forgive me! I meant no such... "

The little girl smiled as she looks at them

"Don't worry... That's the reason why I came here"

Rigurd become suspicious of the girl,

"What do you mean, young lady?"

"I came here to save you all from this trouble. Let me help you"

The hobgoblin approached her.

"You'll help us? But how?"

As the girl was about to speak, Rigurd bowed down to her,

"We appreciate you wanting to help us but we'll just wait for Rimuru-sama. We cannot trust others now after what happened"

The girl went silent for a while.

"I was sent here by your lord, Rimuru Tempest to help you. He couldn't come here due to his work so he asked me to come here instead and help. If you're declining me then you're also declining your Rimuru-sama"

Rigurd trembles as he sweats, "I apologize! I didn't know that!"

"It's fine. I didn't tell it earlier anyway . Silly me", the girl answered as she chuckled.

"By the way, what is your name, if I may ask, young lady?"
