Football practice have been rather tough this past few weeks because of the upcoming tournament

And scrimmage have been frequent too so, I don't have much time for anything else other than school work and practice

I wasn't really into playing football but my friend invited me when we were in elementary, I thought it was fun and I don't have anything else to do during that time

I struggled to control the ball at first but with a lot of practice and dedication, I made it into the main team and played a practice game with other schools 4 to 5 months after I joined the team

Many things happened since then, me and my friend parted ways after graduation but we're still in contact with each other

So, my point is, I enjoyed playing football ever since I started it but, right now I don't like it one bit, do you wanna know why? Well if not, I'll tell you either way

It's because I want to be with Earl, I want to see him all the time, I don't know if he feels the same way but, I told him I have practice and said he understands

Well, it's not like we need to be together all the time, I'm just disappointed that I can't be with him

"hey Dawn!!!! What the heck man? Mind on the game!!!!" Derrick shouts at me, after saying a small apology I started running for defence, I need to focus on the game right now

"yow what's up with you?" Derrick ask me folding his arms on his chest trying to look domineering "you've been out of it, you have to keep in mind that the tournament is just around the corner"

"yeah, yeah" I said while taking off my shirt

"what's the problem? Just tell me if you can't play and-"

"No." I cut him off "I'm fine, it's nothing" I decided not to take a shower and just go home

"okay, just tell me anything that worries you" he said then left me alone in the locker room

Haaaaaa I'm in a big deep shit hole, I should focus on-

My phone chimes and when I checked it, my heart pounds louder inside my chest

It's from Earl "good luck on your practice and for the upcoming game, do your best" he says

This message coming from him really is a good luck charm for me
