Azrael glared at the pudding bowl that Arlia gently placed in front of Asher.
However, the two people responsible for his miserable feelings did not feel his glare at all. Aelia was busy serving Asher, while Asher was busy being extremely happy after being served his favourite dessert by his Angel.
Aylin, who was sitting beside Azrael, could no longer bear to see her elder brother's pitiful state.
She scooped out some pudding and placed it in front of Azrael.
Seeing this, the gloomy expression finally retreated from Azrael's face.
He happily sent a spoonful of pudding into his mouth and said, "It's till my youngest sister who's the best! Aylin, don't marry till you are thirty! Once a girl gets married, she instantly forgets about her brother and only cares for her lover! Tsk! Tsk!"
Aylin giggled at his brother who was sulking like a child abandoned by his mother.
Aelia, on the other hand, was simply speechless. Wasn't her brother nearing his thirties? Why was he still pouting like a baby?
After hearing what Azrael said, Asher nodded and said earnestly, "Of course, that's how it should be! Angel is being considerate of your future wife! If she cares about you too much, won't your future wife feel jealous?"
Azrael squinted his eyes at Asher and said in a sarcastic tone, "Your Highness, do you think the woman I'll choose as my partner would be as petty as you?"
Asher smirked and in a low voice that could still be heard by others, he said, "Says the guy who got jealous because of an extra spoonful of pudding!"
As Azrael retorted with something and the two started bickering again, the gloomy atmosphere around the dining table finally dwindled.
Mr Romanov, who was previously feeling anxious at sending his daughter to a mysterious country, also felt his mood being lightened at Asher and Azrael's antics.
As a father, he felt glad that Asher could let go of his status as the Crown Prince and act like an ordinary man in front of Aelia. In fact, the more he came to know Asher, the more he felt pleased with his son-in-law!
At Asher's mention of Azrael's future wife, Mr Romanov eyes burnt with curiosity as he asked Asher, "Son, does Azrael have a lover in Delphia?"
Asher's eyes visibly brightened at being addressed as son by his Angel's father. So, he reported without holding back any information.
"Dad, in fact, Azrael is quite popular among the ladies! He would be confessed by at least one lady every day, if not more! But, I've never seen him accepting anyone's feelings. So, I don't think he has a lover unless he hid it from me!"
Azrael was speechless as he heard everything about his love life being reported to his father in such a straight forward manner!
Aylin asked in a gossipy tone, "Brother Asher, do you think my brother bats for the opposite team?"
When Mr Romanov heard his daughter's question, his heart felt a little worried. However, he still said, "Son, if you really do so, you don't have to hide it from us! Though it's a little disappointing to know I'll be unable to get a gentle daughter-in-law, it'll still be good if you bring a cute son-in-law! After all, times have changed and it's quite acceptable nowadays!"
Asher too chimed in, "If that was the case, why didn't you say so? I can also arrange some suitable candidates for you! No need to thank me!"
Azrael could no longer hold back and shouted, "Who needs your help?"
He pinched Aylin's cheeks and said, "What the hell did your imagination get inspiration from? And dad, don't think too much! Okay? I'm not interested in men! I'll definitely bring you a daughter-in-law as gentle and cute as my sisters!"
Aelia smiled after hearing Azrael's words and said, "Dad, don't worry! I'll also keep an eye out for brother!"
Hearing this, Mr Romanov's heart felt a little relieved. Even though he would have accepted anyone his son set his heart on, it was still better to have a daughter-in-law as his other daughter would also leave with her husband someday!
After the boisterous lunch, Aylin helped her elder sister pack her luggage.
Soon, it was time for them to set off.
After placing their luggage in the car, the three of them bid farewell to Mr Romanov and Aylin.
Before getting into the car, Aelia grasped his father's hands and said, "Dad, I'll definitely find mom and bring her back as soon as possible! So, take care of yourself and Aylin during this period! Otherwise, mom would feel sad after retiring home!"
Mr Romanov nodded with a small smile and said, "I know, Lia! You too take care of yourself! Always remember to put your safety first! It's important to bring your mom back safely, but if anything happens to you during this process, your mom would never be able to forgive herself!"
Aelia nodded at her father and after giving a hug to both her father and sister, turned to get inside the car.
However, she was stopped by a sudden shout.
"Aelia, wait!"
Aelia frowned and turned to see a panting Leila walking towards her.
Aelia felt quite surprised at seeing Leila suddenly come to the Romanov mansion, that too in search of Aelia herself.
When the panting Leila reached where Aelia stood beside the car, she said, "I've got something to tell you! It won't take long! Just give me five minutes!"
Though Aelia initially felt a little hesitant, she still agreed after thinking how she would not be returning to Phillon for a while.
She took Leila aside and asked, "What?"
Leila did not know where to start. After remaining silent for a few seconds, she breathed a sigh and said, "Sorry!"
Seeing Aelia looking at her with an inquiring gaze, she explained, "I-I'm sorry for what happened this morning! I know it was my fault for choosing the wrong friends and being manipulated so easily! So, I came to say sorry!
It's up to you though whether you want to forgive me or not! I...I just felt that it would be wrong to let you go to Delphia without apologizing to you!"
As Aelia took a long look at Leila, she fidgeted under Aelia's deep gaze.
Finally, Leila heard her cousin say, "Why the sudden apology?"
Leila squirmed under Aelia's probing gaze and finally looked up to meet Aelia's gaze.
With a wistful look on her face, Leila reminisced, "Do you remember, how Aylin, you and I used to always play together in our childhood? Actually, you two used to be my best friends back then! I always thought we would always remain like that forever!"
Leila sighed and continued in a low voice, "And perhaps we would have, if my inferiority complex didn't get in the way! Today's incident finally helped me to wake up!"
