CRASH!

CRACK, CRACK..

SHATTER!

Ana woke up. Many questions raced through her head. Where was she? Didn't she die in the snow? She suddenly got a visual on her surroundings. There was a giant airplane in front of her. What was it? She had never seen something like it before. Walking up to it, she suddenly remembered what was in her satchel. When she tried to open it, it shattered into thousands of small pieces. Out fell a spell-book. The book opened by itself, flipping to a page titled: "FEEL THE COLD OF HUMANITY"

There were three steps on the page:

The first step was to close her eyes and imagine an image of her surroundings,

The second step was to imagine the 'heat' of any beings in the area,

The final step was to focus on any 'heat' the reader finds.

So, without anything to do, Ana followed the instructions. Step by step, she felt her surroundings, and found a presence inside the strange structure.

The book then flipped to a page titled: "THE ABSORPTION OF ICE"

The first step was to sense one's surroundings, specifically what they wanted to absorb.

The second step was to imagine the ice turning into liquid,

The final step was to imagine that liquid absorbing into the user.

Ana complied, again, and it worked. It worked very, very, very well.

An entire mile of tundra around Ana was absorbed into her.

Click, clack.

VRRR....

The structure's doors opened, allowing Ana inside. She ran to the presence she felt and found someone coughing up water. It was a muscular blonde man in his 20's wearing a blue jumpsuit with a white star on it.

"Hey.." PANT, PANT... "Did you save me?" The man asked. Ana just nodded. The man introduced himself.

"My name is Steve Rogers, what's yours?" Steve asked. "Analise Gilhast..." Ana quietly mumbled, but Steve heard her. "Do you know where we are?" Steve asked. "In a land of snow." Ana mumbled. Steve looked confused, and then he remembered what happened. Steve nodded, and he peeked out a window. It was like all of the ice for most of what he could see was gone, but was quickly being replaced. "Did you do that?" He asked. Ana nodded. "How?" Ana handed him her spell book. "Is this a book?" The book flipped to a page. It simply read: "ONLY THE KEEPER CAN READ ME" This kind of creeped Steve out, and he gave her the book. However, he realized if all of the ice was gone, then he could fly the ship out of here with some repairs. This thought was cut short however, when Ana's stomach growled. "Are you hungry?" Steve asked Ana with a soft tone. Ana nodded. "We'll find something for you. There should be frozen foods in a freezer somewhere." Ana tilted her head. "What in a what?" Ana asked, looking at Steve with a confused look. "... Do you know what year it is?" Steve asked, realizing her clothes and spell book look medieval. "It's at most the Third Day before the Kalends of March 1597." Ana stated while tilting her head. "It's the 1940s Ana." Ana had a shocked and tearful expression on her face. "W-what?" Ana asked. Steve got really worried and hugged her to calm her down. "We have to get out of here." Steve said, and after calming down Ana, grabbed tundra gear, put it on, then departed outside.

Five Hours Later..

After hours of repairs and multiple breaks to warm up, Steve fixed the damaged ship just enough to fly away from the tundra.

VRRRR....

SWOOSH!

The ship took off, and Steve flew to the American Military Headquarters.

Three Hours Later..

After a rough landing, multiple soldiers rushed to the ship to find out what the hell just landed at their base.

VRRR...

CLACK.

Out came Captain America! As well as a small, white haired girl that they didn't recognize.

Immediately, someone was called in.

"Steve?" A feminine voice called.

"Peggy?" Steve responded, and wrapped her in a hug. Ana was still hiding behind Steve's leg.

"Steve it's been months! Where were you?" Peggy frantically asked. "Cryogenic sleep. This nice girl saved me." Steve explained. "Introduce yourself, it's okay." Steve told Ana softly, and she complied. "M-my name is Analise my lady." Ana introduced herself. "Ana here has been in cryogenic sleep for... a while." Steve explained, not wanting to make Ana cry again. Peggy got the hint. "Well Ana, why don't we get you some food? You must be hungry after that long nap!" Peggy offered, and Ana nodded happily. Peggy motioned for Steve to follow them, and she did.

A few minutes later, Steve and Ana got some nice beef for dinner. Ana had no clue what she was seeing, and Steve noticed that. "What kind of things did you have for dinner?" Steve asked.

"Lots of cow." Ana mumbled. "Well, this is just that, but cooked differently." Steve explained. Ana took a bite and closed her eyes while slowly chewing, showing Steve that she liked it. "Ish sho gud." Ana definitely liked it. Peggy and Steve chuckled.

..

Later that evening...

Ana was shown to her room, and was clueless on what the bed was, having never seen an actual mattress before. Steve just told her to lay on it, and she complied. "Nice isn't it, Ana? ..Ana?" Ana fell asleep the moment she laid on it. Steve chuckled and put a blanket on her.

..

ANA'S NIGHTMARE...

..

BANG!

Blood gushed out of her father's eye as Ana witnessed the whole thing, and screamed.

Shortly after, Ana's mother came down, and was killed. After not finding her brother in his room, when suddenly...

"Looking for me?" Her brother chuckled as Ana turned around. "You know how much money I can get from a witches blood?!" Her brother asked. "Is it getting cold in here or is it just me...?"

"Wait are you--" Suddenly, a giant, sky blue magic circle appeared under Ana's brother, and everything in the house was covered in ice.

Ana's brother was encased in an ice crystal, and all of her belongings were frozen.

Ana looked at her mother's body, taking her non-frozen satchel and putting it on her waist. Then, she walked out of her home, walking in one direction for hours, before eventually collapsing on the ground.

...

Ana woke up to Steve shaking her. "Are you okay?" Steve asked. "My parents were killed by my brother, and I lost control and froze everything. I achieved retribution, but now I have nothing left.." Ana explained, starting to sob. "It's okay.. you have me, right?" Ana just hugged him and cried herself to sleep.

....

The next morning...

After distracting Ana from the recurring nightmare, Steve taught her academics.

"So, what's five plus five?" Ana counted her fingers. "Ten!" Ana happily declared. "Good job Ana!" Steve praised. All things considered, she was a quick learner. She was being taught a whole new system of academics, and was already doing basic addition. At this rate, she would start double digit addition in a few days.

It was nice, like Ana had a happy family again.

..

..

Crack, Crack..

SHATTER!

"That damn girl ABANDONING US!" A feminine voice yelled.
