When news of the decapitated head spread, the police began to investigate. They soon discovered that Huguel was behind it all and were determined to bring him to justice. But Huguel was not one to go down without a fight. He had built up a loyal army and had access to many personal weapons. Whenever the police tried to invade the favela, they received a hail of bullets. Many officers lost their lives and others retreated in fear. Huguel knew he couldn't go on like this forever. Eventually the police would find a way to take him down. But for now, he would continue to fight for what he believed was right, even if it meant put your own life at risk
