Chapter 0: Champions

"Primo!! They're heading towards B-site now!! Defend it!!" Calum shouted at a distance

I was surprised by his voice because I was thinking a lot of stuff that lead me to lose focus in the game and I only realize it now that I'm in the middle of the tournament, We're playing a Competitive E sport game called Valorant and we are having a match of our lives since this is the Championship match. Our team Moonlight Howlers Vs The defending champion Vultures. Winners takes 100 million Dollars.

All of us are literally focusing on the game because all of us wants to win this tournament, Well who doesn't anyway. The prize pool is too high and I'm sure that everyone of us are heated at the moment.

"Smoke B-Main and someone come here to help me stall time we only have 20 seconds left if these guys can't plant the bomb we fucking win the tournament!!" I yelled while focusing on the game as well

I want to win!!

My role in the team is a sentinel which is to lock down areas and defend the site if needed.

"Hold them down!!" Lucas furiously commanded

At the last moments of the game we manage to defend the site and our enemy team didn't have enough time to plant the bomb in the site. Tears begin to run down my face because I can't believe that our team have won the Championship.

All of scream like there is no tomorrow because all of us are shocked that we managed to win the championship, I get up on my own chair and shake hands with My team and also hug them.

"We fucking did it boys!!" Calum said while smiling joyfully

"Good job guys!! I can't believe we've won the tournament!" I cheerfully said with a teary eyes

They've put their arms in My shoulder and all of them rubbed my head.

"If it wasn't for you we wouldn't win the tournament!" Lucas replied while wiping off his tears

He doesn't want anyone to know that he cries also

"Guys! Let's go out and get our trophy and also to give thanks to the ones who supported us all the way." Theo calmly said

All of our efforts have been finally paid off. All of us leave the room that has all of the Moonlight howlers and once we had left the room we encounter our enemy team and all of us shakehands and show sportsmanship towards each other.

We finally walk towards the trophy and the whole venue is clapping and you can see that they're cheering for both teams.

"Congrats Moonlight Howlers and to Vultures!!" The audience applauded both teams while clapping and praising us

"Congratulations to the challenger team, Team Moonlight Howlers lets give them a round of applause." emcee joyfully said

Our team walk closely towards the trophy that was in the middle of the stage while the team vulture left and they congratulate us before leaving

Lucas immediately grab the trophy and give it to me.

"This is for you, All of us know that you are the only one in the team that works really hard and out a lot of dedication to the tournament and we all know the reason you work hard is because of them." Lucas said in a serious tone

When Lucas said "Them" I didn't realize that tears are falling down my face again.

I didn't let that bother me so I grabbed the trophy and after I grab the trophy Calum get the mic from the emcee and gave it to me, I grab it.

"Thank you everyone to those who supported us all the way and we all know that we are not here if it weren't for you guys!" I said with a crying voice

While I was giving thanks I suddenly remember Aliyah, Ayden, Ivory, Cameron and all the moments that we've spent together and I know that deep down in My heart that we will never be close again just like before and it really hurts to think of that because I want those guys to be with me until the end but I know It won't happen.

"And also ----" I didn't continue what I was going to say because I can't I didn't realize that I was on My knees and started to cry out really loud, My teammates begin to comfort me.

During those times there is one thing I'm certain of, I miss all of them.

If there is anything I would like to do right now is to be with you guys.

E-sports = a multiplayer video game played competitively for spectators, typically by professional gamers.

Valorant = is a 5v5 character-based tactical gunplay with unique agent's abilities

I will explain in the next few chapters how Valorant works for those who are not familiar with it.
