"Naomi!"Naomi turned as she heard her name being called.

Her eyes landed on McKenzie and she smiled knowingly. She wasn't with Austin this time and she liked it better.

When McKenzie got to her, she was already smiling like an idiot, and she didn't fail to notice that... almost made her laugh.

" there's something i wanna say to you "

" what is it? "

" come here... " McKenzie pulled her hand to the swimming ground and made her sit on one of the chairs available before sitting opposite her.

" I'm sorry... "

" huh? "

" I never apologized. I'm sorry for making your life difficult and for treating you badly, you didn't deserve any of that and.... "

" you're right, I.didn't deserve it "

McKenzie sighed.

" I'm really sorry I'm tired of feeling guilty Naomi, can you just please forgive me? Please... "

" well, sure "

" you're real? "

" only if you buy me ice cream after school "

McKenzie smiled and got up to hug her.

" you got it "

Naomi's heart was beating so fast as their bodies pressed against one another. McKenzie was a girl. Why was she feeling this way for her??

She immediately broke the hug and they both stared at each other.

" did they ever tell you look more like princess Ariel "

" you watch Disney? " McKenzie shrugged and they both chuckled.

" you're beautiful

"Do you have to be mean? I can get it you know"Mia frowned at Lonan and he shook his head.

They were both at the library getting a few books that Mia requested.

" then show me. "

Mia got on one of the chairs and tried getting the book but it was placed on a higher shelf and her hand couldn't reach.

" stop struggling. I'll get it for you..." Lonan was about taking it when Mia swat him off.

" no, I got it " She started jumping up and down on the chair and suddenly stepped on the edge. Lonan was about to catch her but he was late and Mia fell onto him and the book rolled down.

" why'd you let me fall? Aren't you a gentleman? "

" who's hurting? "

It was then that Mia noticed she was on top of him and he laid flatly on the floor. She bit her lip and immediately got off.

" I'm sorry "

Her body smelt of Lonan. The scent of the black rose. It was mesmerising.

Lonan picked up the book and handed it to her.

" let's go "

She wished they could stay like that forever

Lonan broke the hug and she bit her lip.

" how do you feel? "

" I...I don't know "

" do you like me? "

Pearl stared down at her laps.

" did Mia tell you? "

" don't. Don't fall in love with me. "

" why not? "

Pearl turned to look at his face. Hurt visible in her eyes.

" I don't want to hurt you. "

" how? How will you hurt me? "

" you won't understand... "

" are you in love with someone else already?

" yes, so don't... please "

Lonan hesitated to say the last part but it slipped out of his mouth. Tear drops rolled down Pearl's cheeks and she sobbed.

" Pearl,,,I don't... "

" no, I can't! "

She stood up and ran out of the classroom, bumping into Mia.

" Pearl, what happened? Why are you crying? "

" he, he doesn't like me Mia. He...my heart hurts really badly, why? "

Mia hugged her. Pearl broke it and ran off.

Mia held her fists and entered the classroom to meet Lonan staring out to space.

" don't say anything. " Lonan said without looking at her. Mia approached him and stared at his masked face.

" why'd you do it? You hurt her "

" I know. "

" I told you she likes you. Why did you break her heart like that? "

" do I like her? " He asked himself out loud. Before Mia could say anything, Lonan hugged her and the usual warmness of her body entered him full, feeling the sensation already.

" I don't want to think about it. "

" Lonan... "

" just hug me Mia. " Mia stayed still. She has never heard him calling her name and today was the first. Why did it sound good somehow?

She began hugging him back gentle, but Lonan tightened it...not minding the pains he felt.

He seem to forget anything when he's with her. Why was he feeling those feelings? Why couldn't he feel them with Pearl instead?

What was it with Mia? Every time he's with her, something in him just wanted to keep on seeing her face for longer. watching her sleep in her room did ease the eagerness. She looked so Innocent in her violet PJ's, holding tight to her staff Panda. Lonan saw her every day.

A while later, they broke the hug. Mia didn't want to make him feel sad, even though she doubts he had any feelings at all. Did he even have a heart? He was such a weird boy.

" ..are you not hungry? "

" did you eat? "

" yes, here...have this " Mia handed a cranberry juice to him and he took it. Mia removed the facemask and held his cheek. Lonan looked at her.

" are you alright? You can tell anything you know. We're friends. "

" just stay here until the bell rings. "

Mia nodded. She knew Pearl's next class was Econ so she probably won't be back after lunch. Surprisingly she and Lonan had the same class. She was going to sit next to him for the moment.

" aren't you in love with her? "

" is it love?... don't talk about it. "

" okay " She shrugged before laying her head on the desk as well, both staring at each other. Mia brought down his hood and ruffled his hair while Lonan stared at her
