Chapter 8

"Hi Morgan," Tony said. Morgan looked at Tony, confused. "It's OK, Daddy is really here," Pepper told Morgan. "But Daddy's gone," Morgan told Pepper. "He was, but he's back now. You're too young to really understand all of this at the moment, but a good man gave Daddy a chance to come home," Pepper told Morgan. Morgan let go of Pepper, and Tony saw her staring between Pepper and him. He could tell that she was scared, and he hated it. "It's OK, Morgan I'm not going anywhere; we've just got to go to a meeting me and Mummy, and you'll have to stay here with Uncle Rhodey, but after that, we will go home together, and it will be OK," Tony told Morgan. Tony sat down opposite Morgan, and Pepper sat down next to her. "Daddy back to stay?" Morgan asked. " Yeah, I'm back to stay," Tony told her. Tony could tell that Morgan was trying to process everything. "Does Daddy want a cheeseburger? Happy, give me cheeseburgers when we said goodbye he said there's daddy's favorite," Morgan asked. Tony laughed. "Yeah, you know what I do want a cheeseburger a big American cheeseburger as soon as me and Mummy have finished the meeting, why don't we all go get cheeseburgers" Tony told Morgan. "I like cheeseburgers, but Mommy doesn't like cheeseburgers; she likes chicken burgers," Morgan told Tony. "Yeah she does doesn't she. mummy can get a chicken burger then," Tony told Morgan. Finally, 20 minutes later, they arrived at Shield headquarters. "Me and mummy are just going to go in here, but we're going to be back soon, so don't worry, we're just going to go and talk to Fury, and then we will be back, and we can all go and get cheeseburgers, and mummy can get her chicken burger," Tony told Morgan. "You promise?" Morgan asked. "I promise," Tony told her. Tony then got up to leave "You can come for cheeseburgers too if you want to Rhodes," Tony told him. " That does sound good, I do like cheeseburgers," Rhodey told Tony with a smile. Tony and Pepper then left side by side.
