-Blake-
It was morning, I woke up from my futon with Echidna by my side, and no we didn't have sex yesterday, we just slept together because sleep wasn't easy yesterday, knowing that today is the day we 'hunt' Akane.
And today was potentially the day we finish our mission and go back to our respective realities.
I was sure that this 'hunt' would be 100% successful unless Akane could destroy the world with her thoughts then, it's game over for us.
Though, my main concern is Jaune. I'm pretty sure that he was the one that is taking this too hard. Getting out of the futon made Echidna wake up.
"Hm..? Oh, it's already morning," Slowly she stood up, and hugged my waist from behind.
"Carry me." She wasn't asking, she was ordering me, without waiting for further instruction, and carried her in a princess carry.
She's so light, that it feels like I'm carrying a pillow rather than a person. I've gotten really stronger compared to before.
She giggled while carrying her outside the room.

After taking a bath and everything, we went together to the dining room where suddenly a delicious aroma assaulted our nostrils.
The kitchen was close by, no need to guess who it was, pretty obvious that it was Archer, he's the chef of our group.
Suddenly I remember when I tried to help him cook for the first time, he stared at me with a judging expression. It was creepy, yes, but I could definitely tell what they meant.
'My kitchen, my rules!'
Is what he was trying to imply.
That's when I realized Archer was seriously territorial when it comes to the kitchen, he won't just let anyone get in or help me with the dishes.
Unless you get his permission, though overtime me and Jaune got his permission as his unofficial apprentice.
"I'd never understood how he got so good with this certain 'craft' of his, and it's the only thing that I like from him," Echidna admitted with a sigh.
"That's just where his talent lies," Which is true, but it made me wonder why his origin is not 'cooking' or his element not 'spatula'
Oh wait, right Avalon it changed both his origin and element to 'sword'
Speaking of origin and element, I wonder what is mine?
I'm definitely curious about what they are.
"Nhm…indeed, it definitely is where his talent lies, as I cannot see the future where I get better than him in cooking, as I'm inadequate." Echidna touched her chin while thinking, she tried cooking once but she just has to talent for it.
She mistook sugar for salt, frying white flour, and even washing the ingredients went wrong, she literally washed them with detergent.
Even a genius like her is bad in some things, no one is perfect, that's the golden rule, perfection is one big lie and that's a fact.
So if someone says that they're perfect then, you know that it's a lie, because perfection can't understand people and people don't understand perfection.
But to me personally, It's fine being imperfect, flaws are what made us human, and flaws are necessary for us to enjoy the world.
The word 'perfect' is just an expression, the 'perfect' that people say is 'imperfect' as I said before, people can't understand perfection.
While waiting for breakfast, Echidna leaned on my shoulder. After a few minutes, Lucifer arrived in the dining room holding a cup of chocolate coffee in her right hand.
She took a sip and satisfaction was oozing from her very being. She really liked sweets, especially chocolate and pancakes.
"Oh, a good morning to you two."
Echidna just nodded while I replied, "Morning, to you too Lucifer."
After that she sat at the opposite side of the table while continuing to sip her chocolate coffee, then in her other hand appeared an ominous book, my instinct was telling me to look away from it or I'll go mad.
I trusted my instinct and looked away, while my girlfriend stared at the book that Lucifer was reading in interest.
I wanted to warn her about it, but I decided not to as she's probably already aware of the dangers of the book, it's the reason why she's interested in it.
All of sudden a book similar to what Lucifer was reading appeared in front of Echidna, "It's the same book that I'm currently reading, it's a translated version that even mortals can understand."
Echidna gave a silent thank you to Lucifer and eagerly started reading it.
Right, how could I forget she was the witch of greed, she wasn't called that without a reason.
Then a minute later, the last member of our group arrived. However, he looked better than I expected. It didn't seem that he lacked sleep, also surprisingly he wasn't alone, he was with Makugo chatting animatedly with her.
Looking at them, something definitely happened yesterday, they looked somewhat closer than before, it was so obvious.

Archer finished cooking breakfast for us, all of the dishes that he made are now on the table, there were plenty, definitely more than usual.
Seeing this, I couldn't help but hide a smirk, and thought, 'What a tsundere, he made more dishes to cheer up Jaune.'
To others, it might not be obvious, but to me, it is, this was his way of helping Jaune, and it definitely helped him.
Seeing Jaune inhale the dishes that Archer made.
Though, it made me a bit confused why Archer had a nostalgic expression while he was looking at Jaune.
Then something clicked in my mind, and I realized Jaune could pass Arturia's sibling, that's probably why he's feeling nostalgic.
Oh well, I didn't think too much about it and tried another one of Archer's dishes.
Gods, it's delicious, did I also mention it's the most delicious food that I have tasted in my life?
No matter how many times I ate his food, I can't understand how could something so simple could be delicious?!
What kind of sorcery did he use to make a simple ingredient taste divine?!
It's definitely the kind of food to kill for, like literally.
—
After breakfast, everyone was oozing with satisfaction, not that I blame them, Archer was just that good, however, he had the gall to say that his cooking was kinda adequate like it was nothing special.
And the worst part is, he believes that it was truly adequate, which makes me wonder what's a good dish to him?
Probably enough to make a Goddess like Artemis lose her virginity for the dish.
Now there's another thing that I can add to his stats.
Cooking EX.
No one would complain, because come on it's true.
After being silent for a while, Archer decided to break the ice and spoke, "So, what's your decision Jaune."
Everyone looked at Jaune waiting for him to answer.
"I…"
Faaaaaaarrrrtt*
"...." Everyone stared harder at him, as his face turned crimson as he unknowingly let out a fart due to the tension.
While I looked away, I couldn't bear to look at him because If I do I'd burst out of laughter, I can't ruin the serious atmosphere.
However, little did I know that you can't ruin something that was ruined already.
Everyone had a different expression on their face, and most of them were various degrees of amusement.

So Jaune decided to join the 'hunt' though, he still couldn't look in our eyes because of what happened.
I can't blame the guy though, because if it was me I'd dig a hole and bury myself. I can't handle that much embarrassment.
"You know, it wasn't a big deal, everyone does it." Kind of hypocritical coming from me.
"Not a big deal?! At an important moment, I farted in front of everyone!" Jaune buried his face in his hands.
"Well, if it makes you feel better I feel second-hand embarrassment."
"And?! Is that supposed to make me feel better?!" Jaune shouted at me, while I cringed.
"Yes..?"
"Dude, fuck you, seriously fuck you!" Jaune continues to bury his head in his hands.
I was surprised, this was the first time I heard him curse.
"Sorry, I don't swing that way," I said jokingly.
"Wha- no! I don't swing that way either!"
Both of us started bickering, and it definitely helped us calm down, it made us even forget our objective even for a few seconds.
But all good things came to an end as we arrived at the shrine where we were trained, at the stairs we saw Akane who was smiling at our arrival.
"Welcome to my humble home, strangers or should I say 'Other worlders', can't say I didn't expect your visit."
And with that, everything was sealed, she was really the system user that we are looking for.

A few more chapters and the Demon Slayer Arc would end!
As you noticed, the original main characters of the story are non-existent in this story, they are mentioned yes, but definitely, they won't have a scene.
There's plenty of ff that they are added though, kind of cliche if I add them, so I tried it differently, instead of adding the main characters in the story, I decided it was time for the extra and support characters to shine!
Except for the main antagonist Muzan.
Also, support me on Pa.treon for faster updates!
