Letters To Muzan

After my moment with Echidna, a few people were giving us weird looks, and most of them were jealous of something that they didn't have or could have.

Honestly, not that I cared but I do understand them at a spiritual level, because I was one of these people too, before I would envy the kind of relationship that I have now.

Thinking of what it feels like to have something like that, and end up getting one instead, I'm lucky I really do.

Inside the restaurant, everyone from the group chat gathered around for another meeting, now that no one is missing.

I then cleared my throat. I was supposed to be the leader, they think I am, so I will act like one, for the sake of formality.

"So, now that we've rescued Jaune, let's now talk about the reason why we're here. As I said at the last gathering, it's been confirmed who our target is," I spoke in a serious tone, everyone didn't say anything except for Jaune.

"Wait, wait! I didn't know about this!" Jaune exclaimed in surprise, along with confusion.

I stared at Jaune with a deadpan look, "Really Jaune? You were there when it was revealed who our target is,"

"Eh?" Jaune titled his head in confusion, not understanding what I meant.

Urging to let out a sigh, but managed not to, I decided to explain, "Did you remember the conversation with Kokushibo, the demon that kidnapped you?"

"Yes? I do, so wha- ohh…ohhhh..!" Jaune's eyes widened in realization, and paling the next moment.

"Yes, it's her our target," I said with a grim look on my face.

"No way! But t-that's…! Why is it her of all people…?!" Jaune shouted with a frustrated expression, he bit his lips and clenched his fist.

Unlike the rest of us, I and Jaune were the closest person to Akane, she was our teacher, she might be harsh with her training, but no one could deny it was effective, and we were both grateful to her for teaching us, our relationship with Akane was more than acquaintances, and definitely more than just student and teacher.

To me and Jaune, Akane was perhaps the closest thing that you could call a 'friend' not just a fake kind of friendship, but a genuine one.

That's why I could understand Jaune's disbelief and reluctance to go against Akane, but we can't just ignore this.

"I know, Jaune…why does it have to be her, but she's our target, the reason why we are here, to begin with, are you going to ignore her just because of the relationship we have with her?" It wasn't easy for me either, but in this situation, we must harden our resolve, and prepare for the worst.

If she doesn't want to give up, then we'll be forced to eliminate her and it was a situation that I don't like imagining at all, just thinking of it made my stomach knot.

Jaune wanted to say something, but deciding not to say it, his face said it all, it was the look of despair.

Seeing that look, I avoided looking at him, he was just too soft-hearted, but unlike him, I wasn't, as I've already resolved myself for the worse to come, I know this from the moment I had my suspicion about the identity of Oda Akane.

All of a sudden Archer spoke. "You two don't have to come with us hunting her, if it's too much for the two of you we'll do it ourselves, we don't need someone to hold us back," 

His tone was cold, in fact, this was the coldest tone that I've heard from him so far, as he said those cold-hearted words, I've come to a realization once more that this person was a Counter Guardian.

His kill count was enough to make a river of blood, it was so many that he lost count, and several of his targets must have been someone close to him.

And everyone important to him, he must've killed their counterparts at least a few times, after all, infinite realities.

I can't imagine how painful it is for Archer, who was known as Emiya Shirou or the nameless hero.

No wonder he became so broken, his ideals betrayed him after all.

The quote, you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain…

Was so true that Archer found himself as one, the longer he played as the hero, there was nothing heroic about massacring people.

"No, I won't hold us back, I promise you," I stated with a serious expression. I've already decided to join the 'hunt' but I can't say the same for Jaune who was still in conflict.

Now, everyone was looking at Jaune waiting for his decision, we were adding pressure without realizing it, at this rate he would be forced to make a decision that he wasn't ready for.

"May I get your attention?" Echidna's voice echoed through the room, and quickly got our attention. She stared at everyone for a second, but she looked at me more than anyone else.

I noticed it but didn't think too much about it.

"Now that I have it I'd like to say, don't put unnecessary pressure on Jaune, as you know he went through a lot of things today, did you forget that he just got rescued? Don't rush him, give him time, and you can give us an answer tomorrow." Echidna's words made sense and couldn't help but feel embarrassed that I forgot about it for a moment.

Right, in a short amount of time a lot of things happened to Jaune, first he got kidnapped, second losing his virginity, third realizing that he could charm a woman, and fourth knowing that his teacher was the target all along.

So yes, in short, he needed time to breathe, I swear Archer was coughing in embarrassment, he must've just realized that too, yay so it wasn't just me, while Lucifer didn't particularly care, but then again she's a devil, she was never human.

"Ahem-! Anyway, as Echidna said let's give Jaune time to think, so for now let's end the meeting," 

And after I said that, the meeting ended.

-Location Muzan's Manor-

Muzan had finally reverted from her normal self, as soon as she did, she realized her groom to be gone missing!

All of the sudden, she felt the urge to cause destruction, as all of her 7 hearts felt uncomfortable! 

Without the presence of her groom-to-be, she felt helpless, feeling that she was incomplete, after experiencing heaven for the first time, is the same feeling as hell if that heaven was taken away!

Her eyes were bloodshot, she had never been so frustrated in her entire existence!

Muzan's first thoughts after knowing that her groom-to-be went missing, was to find him and make those people who took him away experience hell!

How dare they?!

Without realizing she was already changing, she wasn't thinking logically like she always does, everything she does from now on is based on her feelings alone.

Due to the fact that she has 7 hearts, her feelings were amplified by 7, so she was equivalent to 7 girls that were in love with a guy of their interest.

As they say, love is a hurricane!

No matter how smart she is, she can never think logically when it comes to Jaune, she has 3 brains, but she has 7 hearts. Everyone knows 7 is more than 3, she was destined to think illogically the moment she bore 'feelings' to Jaune.

Muzan couldn't contain her frustration anymore, she punched the closet near her range and it was utterly destroyed!

And then, she saw two pieces of paper with different kinds of writing, it was obvious that they were written by a different person.

Quickly she read the first paper, it was obvious that these people were the ones who took her groom away from her!

The first piece of the letter says, 

Dear Muzan,

We decided to give you a chance or redeem yourself, we could have killed you easily but we decided not to, because of Jaune and a bit of pity on our part, 

You should avoid killing humans, along with the rest of your demons, we know that you could simply create a cure that could stop you guys from eating human flesh to sustain yourselves.

So make it because if you don't, it means you don't intend to change at all and you wasted the chance that is given to you by us, we will hunt you we swear if you ignore this warning.

P.S- We're serious, also you're a woman from now on, don't you dare change team again.

Muzan snorted at the letter that was given to her, she thought, 'Me changing? Fat chance! They must be idiots if I could just change easily,'

And immediately she ripped the first piece of the letter, she didn't think too much about it, then the second piece.

She started reading it word by word, and her face started turning red until her head looked like a tomato.

"Oh…" Muzan takes it back, she definitely would change her ways if what the second letter says is true!

At the end of the letter.

P.S- I swear by my name Lucifer if you do your part of the deal, the content of the letter will come true.

Oh, gods! What the hell did that letter say?!

Poor Jaune, he doesn't know what will hit him after this!
