Zhihao's mother saw him from afar and instantly rushed up to him as she called out, "A-Zhi, you're here."
Zhihao was searching through the crowd when he heard his mother calling him. He turned his head towards her and smiled in acknowledgment before his eyes wandered the party once again in search of the man who he had just met in the elevator.
Huang Zhi Juan walked up to him and lightly hugged him.
"Sorry, I was late, mom. The traffic was really a headache," Zhihao lied like a pro, and his mother wasn't born yesterday so she could naturally see through it.
The streets today weren't as busy as they always were which was also one of the reasons why he wasn't as late as he would've guessed and he was able to drive a bit fast without getting into an accident.
Huang Zhi Juan smacked his head not too hard as she spoke, "You're so grown up. You have learned to lie to your mother now?"
