My stomach sank. Whatever his plan was clearly involved something that Abby really wouldn't like, and I hated that for her.

"Well, what's the plan, and how can we help?" Heaven Leigh asked.

Isach took hold of Abby's hand and kissed her palm before turning his attention to the rest of us. "When my father cursed the Halsteads, he disrupted the entire magical balance, and as a result, he and his coven was stripped of their royal coven status. When my father died, I became the rightful leader of the Zoya Coven."

"Your entire coven is dead," Colt said, an edge to his tone.

"I know." Isach nodded. "But as the sole survivor, the Zoya Coven still technically exists."

Heaven Leigh tilted her head, her face scrunched up in confusion. "But the royal covens don't recognize a coven of one."

"No, they don't," Isach said slowly.
