Chapter 30 : The Dragon

Waking up Damien found himself looked in the dungeon but this time there was light as hd looked around wondering why everywhere was bright but before he could wake up fully he felt a sharp pain behind him as he screamed and tried to look behind him but didn't see anything. Damien didn't know this but there was a huge tear behind his back which seemed deep making him uncomfortable.

Inside the palace

"i gave you one task bring them here and know that they did you couldn't even keep them you let them escape again " the Emperor roared angrily

"father don't worry we have put the beast on the task to find them and when it does it would kill them " Penelope answered as shd stood in front of her father "and besides Damien was captured" she added

"you mean the page " he asked

"yes he was the one who casted the spell that helped them escape i still don't know how he knows such a powerful spell i mean he is a lowborn and he is so strong" she said

"ow so he helped them escape with a powerful spell hmm nice" he said "bring him up" he said looking at the General

Back at Damien's cell he had passed out a second time as he had found himself in a white room full of books looking round Damien saw a blue door which seemed to have a big golden lock looking round he walked towards the door anx held the lock. He didn't know why but he felt a connection to this place like he was meant to be here. He then walked to the shelves as he pulled out a book opening it he saw some weird inscriptions of another language which he didn't understand but he still had a feeling of familiarity towards the language as he looked through the book he noticed all the powerful spells that was in it but before he could catch a glimpse of the spell he was pulled out of this world. As he opened his eyes he saw a man removing the chains holding him as he fell to the ground, hooking his hands with another chain the demon General dragged him on the floor making his wound cause him immense pain as he cried out trying to get on his feet but he couldn't do anything except cry. Damien wasn't trained to hold immense pain he wasn't even a warrior all he was good at was his spells and that was due to his genius IQ so he was new to this kind of pain as it weakened him more.

Dropping Damien at the feet of the Emperor the General left him as Damien was now to weak to even talk.

"hmm you shouldn't treat a page with such disrespect" the Emperor sarcastically scolded the General as he laughed

"now Damien i want you to answer my questions honestly" he said as he gripped his staff firmly

"how did you cast such a powerful spell " he asked Damien who raised his head up as he looked at the Emperor

"practice" Damien replied

"so a lowborn practicing a higher spell than his capability without being dead very interesting but i wouldn't take that lie you are different your spells are stronger gow is that possible without a cost" he asked

"aren't you a lowborn?" Damien said looking at him

"how are your spells stronger" Damien said as he layed down on the floor

"hmm take him away" he said as he looked at the General as he took Damien back.

"so what do you think" Penelope asked her father

"there is something about him and i want to find it out so i need you to organize a room for him you would treat him like a guest and i want you to get into that head of his and find out about how he came to be do you understand" he asked looking at where Damien was

"yes i do " Penelope answered

"there is something about him that i can't phantom" he said before he stood up and left.

Alex and the group had gotten the horses and where already headed for the valley but had gotten into their own trouble as a massive beast pursued after them the beast had the features of a dragon but it was uglier as it had a beak which was bent like that of a parrot as it screeched fire from its mouth . they had been trying to loose the beast for a long time as it turned out difficult since the beast was meant to hunt them.

"i don't think we can loose this dragon" a soldier screamed

"fine then we fight it " another said

"how are we going to do that" the first one said

"well we would take turns" Alex said as he jumped of his horse creating a fire storm as he shot it at the beast as a soldier flew right behind Alex creating a huge ball of water as he attacked the beast from behind but it proved to be useless as the beast didn't seem fazed by their attacks as it howled hotter flames than the one Alex let out shooting a ball of fire at Alex he dodged the attack as he created a huge wave attack sending the wind attack straight at the beast. Seeing how the attacks where being dodged he created a massive spike as he aimed it right at the beast before shooting it at the beast making a loud screeching sound heard round in the woods. the soldier behind the beast had created a huge golden sword as he swung it at the beast penetrating its dark skin making it turn as it howled at the soldier as it opened its mouth to screech fire when a heavy bolt of lightning of lightning fell straight at the head of the beast killing it as it turned into ashes. looking round they saw Natasha standing there

"come on let's go" she said as they went after the others
