Chapter 18: The Black Horrall Snake's Demise

Chapter 18: The Black Horrall Snake's Demise

"Now!"

All the knights who had consumed the potion began their frantic assault on the Black Horrall Snake.

*Bang!*

Ron swung his arm, launching a dozen fiery red potions at the snake. Bright flames erupted on the snake's body.

Drawing his black longbow, Ron declared, "Frost Runes!" The incantation enveloped the longbow, transforming the arrows into icy shards.

The combined assault did little damage, but it effectively cut off the Black Horrall Snake's escape route. An icy arrow pierced the snake's right eye.

"Hissssssss!"

The snake screeched as its mouth caught fire, and its eye burst. Translucent fluid gushed from the empty socket, and the snake writhed in agony.

Ron drew his sword and chanted 'Frost Runes' once more. His muscles bulged as he entered a state enabled by a secret technique he had learned from Viscount Jackson. The technique enhanced his strength and agility.

"The Host has entered the state of a Knight's secret technique. Strength and agility have been greatly boosted! Vitality decreased!" reported the A.I. Chip.

Taking advantage of the weakened Black Horrall Snake, Ron lunged forward and struck a critical blow at its heart.

Innumerable fresh blood mixed with blackish fluid spewed out. The snake wriggled in agony as knights held it down.

"Hisssssssssss!"

The snake bellowed continuously, splattering blood on the ground. After a dozen minutes of struggle, its left eye lost its luster and it fell lifeless.

"Target is severely injured; its life force waves are continuously declining! Target's life force has fallen to the lowest! Target's life force waves have completely vanished. Dead!" The A.I. Chip reported the snake's demise.

Ron watched as the knights who had consumed the potion began to fall, their time limit reached. Only three knights remained.

Ron felt a surge of 'Sentient Force' entering his body. He sat cross-legged to absorb the energy. The Black Horrall Snake, despite being a Level 3 Acolyte, was a Rank 3 Magical Creature. Its years of hibernation had weakened it, but the energy it provided was immense.

After years of research, Ron had developed a way to harness 'Sentient Force.' He had created a special domain within his body, referred to as 'dantian,' where he could store and utilize this primordial source of power. With this, he could strengthen various aspects of his abilities and even create elixir-like effects.

Ron knew he would require immense resources to break through to the next rank. He also needed a suitable Rank spell to facilitate the process. His theory was to focus on strengthening his bloodline and innate spell, eliminating the need for meditation techniques.

As this was his first time collecting such a substantial amount of 'Sentient Force,' Ron ordered his remaining knight to gather materials from the Black Horrall Snake's corpse. He collected its blood to create blood crystals.

Continuing their journey, Ron and his slaves entered a rusty metal passage. The tunnel was wide enough for three adults to walk side by side.

Running his fingers along the wall, Ron observed the silver metal beneath the layer of grey dust. The metal gave off peculiar sensations as he touched it.

"This is Crying Blood Alloy," Ron noted.

Silently, he commanded the A.I. Chip to record the alloy's composition.

The negative energy density in the air increased by an additional 3.14% compared to regular settings, signaling their arrival.

"It's here," Ron muttered as a bright hole appeared before them.

Passing through the hole, they found themselves in a flower-filled landscape. Different flowers bloomed wildly, regardless of the season, creating a surreal garden.

The garden was an Inheritance Grounds, protected by complex mechanisms. Ron knew he needed to disable the mechanisms to access the treasures within.

"A.I. Chip, scan the area," Ron commanded. With the A.I. Chip's assistance, he spent three hours breaking the mechanisms.

With access granted, Ron meticulously harvested the herbs, maintaining their herbal quality. He had collected herbs worth nearly a million magic crystals.

Ecstatic with his haul, Ron gave orders to his slaves to collect more materials from the garden.

Now, with Dylan Gardens secured, he could focus on obtaining the Advanced Meditation Technique. As Feng Meng and his crew had failed to explore the Inheritance Grounds due to their greed and distrust, Ron knew there were many valuable resources to be found.

He discovered Darkness crystals, Bloodline Crystals, and books about bloodlines and potion formulas. Eventually, he arrived at a straight tunnel, where ancient Byron characters were etched on wooden boards.

"Seekers who are able to come here will have a chance to obtain my inheritance—Norco Curadu Sfar."
