Chapter 1Killing Truck-kun

I had been walking down the streets of Nashville Indiana browsing the various shops set up there when it happened.

A sudden rush of energy filled my body. So sudden was its appearance that I, unbeknownst to me, stopped abruptly in the middle of a crossing. For a second confusion ran rampant in my mind.

Thoughts like ' what the hell was that' and ' did I eat my uncle's magic brownies by accident again' were at the forefront of my mind.

When my senses finally came back to me though that confusion quickly turned to horror as a truck ( that I'm pretty sure didn't exist a second ago) was mere feet away from my face.

Honestly, at that moment, I was fully prepared to become one with the pavement. I was ready to accept my death.

But, something inside me told me to fight. To give one last struggle despite how in vain my efforts would be.

So I did.

Reigning my fist back at speeds I didn't know I had, I let loose a punch towards the mouth of the truck all the while screaming out a war cry.

"Let's See how you like being isekai'd you homicidal fucking truck!" I yelled as I struck the vehicle.

I imagined that the truck would fold in on itself upon impact with my fist. That afterward a large shockwave would splash out towards the bystanders, blowing them away before the truck was sent into the stratosphere.

Normally, these are the thoughts of a hopeless teen who can't face the reality of his death. Mere fantasy made to cope and dissociate oneself from what's happening.

Except it wasn't. For all of it happened in a span of a second.

I felt metal bend, break, and snap at the force of my punch. The sound of metal being destroyed echoing through the town.

The next half a second was silent until the truck was launched into the sky. A shock wave followed soon after blowing away all around me, including any bystanders.

Meanwhile, I just stood there staring at my steaming hand.

I was in shock.

I mean honestly, who wouldn't be at this Moment?

I had just done the impossible with seemingly no effort.

Thankfully with the crowd dispersed, I had a moment to recollect myself.

When I did, I didn't show fear or trepidation. But rather excitement, happiness, and a sense of determination.

For you see, with my brain trained from all the comics, movies, anime, books, novels, and fanfiction I've experienced I quickly concluded what happened.

I have superpowers. There was no fluke or cosmic accident that caused that truck to be yeeted into space.

No, it was I and I alone that did that.

And boy was I ecstatic.

"What else can I do?" I wondered excitedly, uncaring of my damaged surroundings.

Clearly, an aspect of my powers was super strength, judging from the lack of a certain truck.

But what else could I do?

"Maybe fly?" I said/asked myself.

My words became reality as I gently levitated off the ground.

An uncontrollable smile spanned my face.

"Holy shit this is cool," I commented even happier than before.

Looking up at the clouds above me I instantly knew what I was going to do next.

In the next second, I didn't just fly into the sky, I soared. Leaving behind a crater in my wake. Not that I cared. I was far too focused on the new sensation of flight.

Instincts unknown to me until now took over. Allowing me to race across the clouds with a speed not unlike that of a military jet.

For hours that was what I did. I did not care about the world below me. Not even the universe above.

All that was on my mind was the newfound sense of freedom that permeated my mind.

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end.

As night came rolling out my high slowly died down, the adrenaline pumping through my veins faded, and my mind cleared.

Even so, my smile never left my face.

Looking at my hands once more I fully analyzed all that had happened to me.

While I was no super genius I wasn't dumb either, so it didn't take me very long to figure out what my actual power was.

I could warp reality.

But I still decided to conduct a test to make sure.

For a novel based off of reality, the people inside it and the logic used are far from being real. First of all, his family somehow doesn't become shocked at the changes in the world and instead think its the MC doing it because he told them he would do that if he had powers. Now, lets think about this a bit more. There are 8 billion people in the world and they believed only the mc had the idea to change the "texture pack" of the world? Secondly, Reality Manipulation is NOT omnipotence or anywhere near it my guy. Losing your track of thought for a moment whilst utilizing the power would render the result you desired completely different than what actually happened. Thirdly, Reality Manipulation does not protect his body in any way shape or form, he would die 1 million times before he was even able to witness the universe be created, as that would mean he made it so he could either breathe in space, which is impossible because there is no oxygen in spacee, or wouldn't need oxygen. Suddenly being switched from an oxygen-based lifeform into one that isnt would destroy his body before he could even think of healing himself. Finally, before anyone comes at me and says its based off fiction and all that bs, the author chose to use our world, which means the MC and the characters would have to follow the rules of our world, unless the MC changed them of course. But, this would make the world not be ours and make the synopsis redundant. Overall, 2 stars, writing quality brings up the novel by 1 star.
