Hobbies are Important and Helping Mates

After playing cards for some time Harry, Ron and Neville left to the Great Hall to have lunch together. During lunch, Neville asked Harry how was he able to complete the potion very fast to which Harry replied that they just have to understand the instructions first before following them.

When Neville asked about Potions his though went back to his previous life and of how much influence it showed in his current self.

Voldemort's was very talented in brewing potions and didn't neglect to improve his knowledge in that field and when I completely understood Voldemort's knowledge, I also gave it a try and fell in love with the Art of Portioner. 

I regularly practiced and creating unique potions from Basic Potions to Advanced Potions until I was an master in the Art. It became one of my favorite hobbies, because brew potions gave a relaxing feeling to my mind. 

That was also one of the main reasons for setting my business roots in the magic world by purchasing the shop and started a Potion's Shop. My potions shop, sold only basic potions, but with much better effect compared to the one in market.

In the beginning, I personally brewed the portions for the shop, but later when my time became precious and I had to develop my other skills, I handed over the recipe to Eve who tasked it to her Portioner employees, of course they were controlled with magic contracts to not leak the recipe.

My shop sold only in small quantities, but it had a high demand in the marked . Since we didn't increase the quantity or introduce intermediate or advanced level potions, so our competitors didn't bother us.

When we have sufficient protection, then only I will allow it to introduce the intermediate and advanced potions and sell in huge quantities.

I always thought that Hobbies were a waste of time and the time saved could be used on something better, but my Mother didn't share the same feeling. 

She was the one who change him, by introducing different hobbies like reading novels, watching movies and many other. These hobbies were special to my mom because they would do it together. 

It also worked, because I did fine few hobbies that I loved and it was also productive at the same time in my previous life and it was thanks to my mother. 

It was because of her that he started having hobbies, so when his first hobby in this life was Potion making and put his roots in the market and bought a shop to sell potions in the Wizarding world, he didn't hesitate and named it "Daisy's Potions" In memory of his mother.

During lunch, Hermione and Parvati also joined them and after that, they left together to the next class. The second and final class for the day was Defense Against the Dark Arts taken by Professor Quirrell 

The class started on time and Professor Quirrell focused more on the theoretical part of the subject. He explained about the very basic level, dark creatures and their dangers. He didn't go beyond the text book and only taught them theoretical part for the first class.

Even though Harry didn't learn anything new in his class, he can tell that Professor Quirrell was an average wizard and totally focused on following the textbook. It seems that Dumbledore didn't have good candidates for this class because any wizard who takes this position was somehow prevented from taking the class next year or met with ill fate. 

Harry knew about the curse placed on the Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor position by Voldemort. When Voldemort applied to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts, Dumbledore denied his application. In rage Voldemort placed a powerful curse on that position.

Harrys already knew how to reverse the curse, but to do that he had to enter the ward's room, which can only be accessed by Dumbledore now. 

After he found out about the curse, Dumbledore tightened the security to the Hogwarts ward room which is located in the dungeons.

It was impossible to approach that room without alerting him, so Harry let it be for now and when the time comes, he will help Dumbledore, by lifting the curse.

The class came to an end, with Professor Quirrell giving them an assignment on the topic which has to be submitted next week. They only had one class of Defense Against the Dark Arts per week. The first year had lots of time to complete their assignment.

After the class He decide to complete his assignment in the library. Neville also asked if he can join him and Ron seeing Neville close to his friend got jealous, also wanted to join him.

Since Hermione and Parvati were also planning to go to the library, all five of them went to the library and occupied a corner table. 

Hermione went to find books related to the topic of assignment, but Harry was faster because he knew the best books to refer for the assignment topic. 

Harry came back with two books and handed it to Ron and Neville. Hermione also found few books but they didn't hold much content about the assignment topic. 

He didn't let both of them to read it immediately, but started explaining the topic with simple and easy to understand method and both the boys and girls were amazed that they were able to grasp is without feeling bored.

They even praised him, that he was better at explaining the topic than the professor. His explanation came to an end after 20 minutes, where all four of them had their total concentration on his explanation. 

After the explanation was done, He instructed Ron and Neville to write down what they understood, in their own words before starting with the assignment.

Since Ron and Neville were not going to use the books, He gave them to Hermione and Parvati, who started reading the books and she was again surprised that the referral books were perfect for the specific topic of assignment

Hermione and Parvati read the specific chapter of referral, under his guidance when Ron and Neville were writing, what they understood in their own words. 

He completed his assignment within 15 minutes and during this time Hermione and Parvati also read the specific chapters of referral and started working on their assignment. 

Neville completed first and he started reading through it and placed in next to him without replying, he started reading Ron's work who had also completed. 

"Both of your understanding is good so when you have time, read the referral book's before starting your assignment's"

He replied to both of them and they also felt confident that they would understand the book now.

All five of them left to the Grand Hall and had dinner together before going back to the dorm and went to sleep. He as usual worked on his Occlumency for few hours before falling asleep.
