Chapter - 27

Title: Final Exams -2 

Mc POV

After Transfiguration Exam, the five of us meet up and the same thing happened to both Ron and Neville. It took them a few tries, before transfiguring the mouse into an average-looking box. They were worried, that they might fail, but I assured them that they won't.

The next one was Potions, which was a written exam on how to make a Forgetfulness Potion and Professor Snape made all the Gryffindor first-years nervous and they felt like he was breathing down their necks, while they tried to remember how to make a Forgetfulness Potion.

As usual, Professor Snape didn't approach me but was just observing me, maintaining his distance. Ron and Neville didn't face any problems and aced the written exam.

The last exam was History of Magic, which was also a written exam of one hour to answer questions about the old wizards who invented the Self-Stirring Cauldrons. 

Finished with the exams, The results will be announced in a few days, so we will be free for the next two weeks.

Title: Exam Results 

Mc POV

After some days, the exam results were announced. The grading system in Hogwarts was Outstanding (O), Exceeds Expectations (E), Acceptable (A) for passing, and A Poor (P), Dreadful (D), or Troll (T) failing grades.

The grades are passed out through small report cards inside an envelope with a Hogwarts symbol on the wax seal 

The girls were very satisfied with their results when they opened their envelopes, Hermione received Outstanding (O) for all the subjects and Parvati received Outstanding (O) on Potions and History of Magic, and received Exceeds Expectations (E) on Charms and Transfigurations but for Ron and Neville, it wasn't the same.

In Potions, Ron and Neville got an Exceeds Expectations (E) and an Outstanding (O) in History of Magic but in Transfiguration and Charms, they only got an Acceptable (A).

Finally, all four of them knew that it was not possible for me to get anything except Outstanding (O), but still, they wanted to confirm it. Hermione grabbed the envelope and started opened the waxed seal. 

I didn't mind her behavior because she was a little competitive when it came to academics. When the four of them saw my report card their eyes widened in shock and, Ron and Neville's mouths were also slightly open.

I was a little confused so when Hermione gave back my Report Card, still in her shocked state, I finally understood the reason for their shock. 

In Potions and History of Magic, I received an Outstanding (O) but in Transfiguration and Charms, I received an (O+) which was unusual because such a grade was not mentioned by the Professors when they explained to the first years about the grading system.

It looks like both Professors McGonagall and Professor Flitwick were really impressed with my performance.

After recovering from their shock, Hermione demanded to know what I did in the Transfiguration and Charms exam and the other three were also waiting for my answer.

When I told them, again they froze up in a shocked state because, to them, it was an impossible feat, to perform magic without spell chant and wand movements

After calming them down the five of us continued to enjoy our free days.

Title: Year-End Feast 

Mc POV 

The first year had finally come to an end and the Gryffindor students are excited for the feast because we are going to win the House Cup.

Even though I was older in my mind, I didn't enjoy school life or having friends in my pervious life, so I'll never let go of any opportunity to have fun with my friends. 

All the students and professors of Hogwarts gathered in the great hall and it felt lively. 

Food of different varieties appeared before them, which gave justice, to be called a feast. Everyone was enjoying the good food, and chatting with their friends.

Hermione, Parvati, Ron, Neville, and I were also conversing about different topics and frequently conversing with our housemates. 

The study group was a huge success and has made us popular among the first-years and second-years Gryffindor's.

It was time for the final announcement and the food had already disappeared, Professor McGonagall gathered everyone's attention by clinking her glass.

Headmaster Dumbledore stood up and spoke in a kind grandfatherly tone

"Another year gone!" Dumbledore said cheerfully. 

"Hopefully your heads are all a little fuller than they were... you have the whole summer ahead to get them nice and empty before next year starts

Now as I understand it, the House Cup needs to be awarded"

The time Gryffindor has been waiting for has arrived and everyone on of the Lion's were ready to erupt with excitement visible on their face.

"In fourth place, Hufflepuff with 374 points"

The Hufflepuff table clapped without any enthusiasm 

"In third place, Ravenclaw with 398 points"

  The Ravenclaw table clapped but it looked like they weren't bothered by it

"In second place, Slytherin with 426 points"

  The Slytherin table clapped with an expression that looked like all the snakes had bit into a sour lemon

Professor Snape didn't show any expression but could be seen that he was in deep thought.

"And in the first place, Gryffindor with 448 points"

  Our table erupted with loud cheers and the quidditch team was the most to burst with happiness, as Gryffindor Won 

Professor McGonagall's expression broke her usual strict look and couldn't contain her happiness and was smiling the whole time. 

"Well done, Gryffindor, I believe that a change in decoration is in order" With a clap from Dumbledore, the flags of Slytherin changed to Gryffindor, thus ending our first year in Hogwarts. 

Title: Back to London 

3rd Person POV 

In Hogsmeade, Students could be seen boarding the Hogwarts Express and in one of the compartments, Harry and his friends were already seated.

"Harry, Will you be coming to my house?" asked Ron 

"Sorry Ron, my uncle and aunt won't allow me. Maybe next year I'll try to visit your house." 

Not only Ron but Neville, Hermione, and Parvati also wanted Harry to visit their house but he used same excuse to them as well. 

"Ok" Ron nodded with a slight 

The five of them made plans to visit Diagon Alley together for their second-year shopping but Harry told the two boys to meet me on an earlier day to solve their magic casting problem and they accepted it 

After a few hours, the train reached platform 9 ¾ and students started to exit the train and meet their parents who came to receive them.

The group of five exited the train and the first to spot them were Hermione's Parents 

They were muggles and Hermione was their only child and the first witch in their family. After hugging her parents Hermione introduced her friends.

"Mon, Dad, these are friends I told you about"

"This is Parvati, Harry, Ron and Neville" 

"Nice to meet you guys." Said Mr. Granger 

"Thank you for taking care of Hermione." Said Mrs. Granger and Ron's mother and Ginny also joined in, when she saw Ron among them.

Ron also introduced his mother and sister to everyone, after a few minutes Neville spotted his grandmother away from the crowded platform and took his leave, followed by Hermione and her family. 

Parvati also left to find her sister, so Harry was the only one left with Ron, Ginny, and Mrs. Weasley.

Mc POV 

"Harry, why don't I ask your uncle to let you visit our house for a few days, before the next term starts?" Mrs. Weasley asked

I felt a little awkward with Ginny, because she was just staring at me.

"I'm sorry Mrs. Weasley, My Uncle doesn't like anything about the wizarding world and will make it hard for me, if I request something like that.

Maybe, Next year I'll try to visit."

In order to maintain my cover story, I can't allow her to meet my relatives 

"I'm sorry Dear, make sure you visit next year, OK?"

"Yes Mam" I replied. 

After saying my goodbyes to them, I exited the 9 ¾ platform and entered the busy Kings Cross Station, and went outside.

Standing in the parking lot, was a man who was a few pounds away to be considered obese and it was none other than my uncle, who had a blank look on his face.

I didn't greet him and entered the car's back seat where Rook was sitting. 

"Welcome back, Master!" he said with his head slightly bowed

"Good to see you, Rook" I nodded back to him

With a snap of his finger, my uncle entered the car and drove us back to Privet Drive. 

When we reached the location, Rook wasn't in the back seat with me, as he had already Apparate to my room on the first floor of the Dursley family. 

I and my uncle entered the house after parking the car, I walked up to my room, and my uncle gained clarity after a few seconds, greeted his family, and continued on with his life. 

I didn't interfere with their family and only asked Rook to control them when I had to make a public appearance with them otherwise, they live their own life and I live mine.

When I entered my room, Rook was standing in his usual place waiting for my orders. I sat down on my chair and started going through the new set of files placed on my table.

"We have work to do Rook" I said, without taking my eyes off the document in hand.
