Chapter 13

Duke Etkinson came to mansion early after he received urgent letter from his wife. When he entered his study room, he already found everyone gathered and waiting from him.

"Diana, is it true? Was Alice able to remember her full name" he asked his wife abruptly.

As soon as read the letter, his happiness had no bounds. He was happy that there was chance that his dearest daughter might remember her forgotten memory someday.

"Yes, it is true" the Duchess responded.

He sat beside her excitedly, smiling at himself.

"George, I have decided to preponed the day of departure" he suddenly heard his wife's words.

"When are you planning to go?" he asked, surprised at his wife's quick decision.

"Day after tomorrow" she replied calmly.

"What?" he asked.

"Didn't you already break that damn engagement? And Alice looks healthy now. I have decided. We will be going day after tomorrow. If you have got some problem with that you can came later."

"But why so early? You can…?"

"Alice just ate with us" the Duchess interrupted her husband, "and she can already remember her name. What else she might if she continues to stay here? I have decided to take her. If you insist, I can leave these two to accompany you."

She pointed at Daniel and Stella, who were sitting quietly and watching their parents argue.

"But still…."

"I don't want Alice to remember one more thing" she again cut into her husband's words, "did I make myself clear?"

Watching his wife serious face, he knew any further requesting will be of no use. He sighed and gave up.

"Fine, I will complete my work within these two days" the Duke decided.

"Ben" he called for the butler who standing silently.

Ben stepped forwards and answered, "Yes, master."

"Pack necessary things and send to palace. I guess I will stay in palace these two days" he commanded.

"Yes, master" Ben responded.

He got up and left the room immediately.

"Maria, next time Dr. Charles visits Alice ask him to suggest her to continue having meals in her room. And fasten the preparations for departure." the Duchess ordered.

"I will do as you say" Maria said.

"You both" the duchess then turned towards at her kids who were silent the whole time, "be careful when you talk to Alice next time."

"Yes mother" the two responded in union.

And unknow to the planning's happening outside, Alice was thinking deeply. Since these two weeks, she was usually asleep due to her weakness. She rarely talked to anyone and could only greet others. Her mind was filled many things that she forgot to know the name of this body's original owner.

How can I forgot to ask something so basic?

No. She did not forget. She thought there was not need. She fixed on the fact her name was only Alice. She never imagined that she transmigrated into an otome game. She thought it just some another world which is yet to technologically advance.

Now since she transmigrated into this world, the only thing she can do is to follow the rules she prepared for herself to survive.
