Are you telling us that all of these are mechanical creations? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- So I might have have gone a little ham on this side project (-.-)' between the chapters being by far the shortest of anything I've translated so far, getting some really good results with my newer translation prompt, and getting caught up in wanting to read the story that felt like a great change of pace I ended up taking it pretty far. There are still some things that didn't translate properly -so far its been Final Fantasy stuff in the later portion of the translated chapters but I felt it was a really smooth read that was still fairly accurate to the raw text. I still haven't had much luck at getting the westernized names assigned to characters to remain consistent from chapter to chapter so unfortunately it still isn't where I want my translations to be but I am getting closer and closer. Please enjoy.

Chapter 39: The Desolate Silhouette of the Principal

"Halt!"

A hysterical shout echoed through the area, immediately drawing everyone's attention. However, Geng Shengguo, the principal of Yuntong High School, didn't care about maintaining his image at this point. He rushed forward and snatched the enrollment form from the hands of the officer in charge of admissions.

Seeing his companion about to take action, the officer shook his head to stop him, and silently watched the reactions of the people present.

"Lin Bingyue, Cai Shengkun, do you know what kind of decision you are making today? It's an important choice that will affect your entire future!"

"This is no child's play! Why would you come here instead of attending the better Sanctum University?!"

Upon hearing this, the faces of the men in military uniforms at the enrollment window turned cold. To them, this was no different from being insulted. Although Southwest Martial Academy was in a dire situation, it was still an institution that had supported Dragon Nation through difficult times for decades.

To openly express disdain for their academy angered them greatly.

Following this, Zheng Mu and Cai Shengkun's homeroom teacher Xu Chengguang, as well as Lin Bingyue's homeroom teacher, arrived out of breath, and their first concern was the enrollment form.

Seeing that Geng Shengguo had already seized the form, they sighed in relief.

"Cai Shengkun! What are you doing at this crucial moment?! Does your father know about your actions today?! You're joking with your own future!"

Xu Chengguang scolded him with disappointment.

However, Cai Shengkun remained stubborn, like a student caught skipping class, showing no fear.

No matter what, he insisted on choosing Southwest Martial Academy.

On the other side, Lin Bingyue silently shook her head in response to her homeroom teacher's repeated persuasion, neither explaining nor accepting.

As the situation reached a stalemate, Geng Shengguo and the others finally focused their attention on Zheng Mu, who had been ignored.

Feeling the principal's imposing gaze, Xu Chengguang reluctantly tried to persuade him.

"Zheng Mu, you've always been the most rational person in class, mature and sensible. You should know the impact today's decision will have on their futures, a single misstep could result in a lifetime of regret."

"You can't be selfish because of friendship and so-called face!"

His words were heavy.

The previously silent officer in charge of Southwest Martial Academy finally spoke up, looking at Zheng Mu and the others solemnly.

"Zheng Mu, Lin Bingyue, and Cai Shengkun, while we're pleased that the three of you have chosen Southwest Martial Academy, our institution is dedicated to serving the military, and we have always been straightforward. We don't want you to resent us in the future for hiding anything from you."

The officer looked at them with a candid gaze.

"Indeed, our Southwest Martial Academy is facing the risk of being downgraded."

"If you choose to join us at this time, you will be assessed according to the standards of a top-tier university during the evaluation process."

"You may not make the cut, and you need to be aware of how great your loss could be."

"Additionally, even if you enter Southwest Martial Academy with top-tier university qualifications, your resources and conditions will undoubtedly decrease if our downgrade is confirmed, resulting in further losses for you."

"Compared to students from other top-tier universities, you will have significantly fewer resources to support you. A single misstep on the path of a professional can lead to a lifetime of setbacks.

This is not a joke."

After he finished speaking, everyone waited for Zheng Mu and the others' response.

Zheng Mu shrugged, a helpless and self-mocking expression on his face. "I have no other choice. Other universities treat me like a stray dog, and I don't want to force myself upon them."

Cai Shengkun shook his head. "I've made up my mind. Even if my father comes, I'll maintain this attitude."

Leng Bingyue didn't speak, but her eyes had already revealed her determination.

At this point, Geng Shengguo felt utterly helpless.

He had just been discussing this year's achievements with the leaders of the Education Bureau, and now the two people he had pinned his hopes on had defected at the last moment.

He could only see a bleak future ahead.

Xu Chengguang wasn't ready to give up and immediately called Cai Shengkun's father. After explaining the situation, he expected an angry and anxious response.

However, after a long silence, Cai's father's voice came through the phone. "Since he has already become a professional, the path he takes from now on is his choice. Teacher Xu, thank you for your concern, but let the boy make his own decisions."

With that, the call was disconnected.

Cai Shengkun immediately grinned, took the registration form from Geng Shengguo's hand, and handed it to the Southwest Military University's representative.

On the other side, Leng Bingyue's teacher was on the phone.

Leng Qingya was even more dramatic, focusing on Zheng Mu being looked down upon by St. Qing University and being rejected by other universities.

The gentle beauty, well-known throughout Yun City, unexpectedly cursed St. Qing University and Bei Wu University, calling them blind fools.

In the end, Leng Bingyue, unsurprisingly, took back her registration form.

As Geng Shengguo and the others left, everyone could see their silhouettes becoming more desolate.

Seeing Zheng Mu and the others insist on joining Southwest Military University, the representative's face showed a happy smile.

"Good, although you still need to undergo an assessment to confirm whether or not you can join our university, I sincerely welcome you in advance."

"I am He Guang, an A-class Level 67 Explosive Fist Fighter, and the combat instructor of the Physics Combat Department at Southwest Military University."

Hearing that the representative's level was as high as 67, even Zheng Mu was slightly shocked.

He thought, even a small recruitment representative from Yun City had this much strength? This truly showed the strength of a top-tier university, even if they were on the brink of being downgraded. A skinny camel is still bigger than a horse.

Handing the registration forms to He Guang, the trio's determination to join despite knowing the circumstances seemed to have won the recognition of the military personnel.

During the processing of their registration, everyone greeted them with a smile, a stark contrast to their experience at St. Qing University.

"Leng Bingyue, A-class Gale Swordsman, Level... 15?!" (To be continued)
