Section 145: No Farewell
-Joel POV-
I felt nauseous a bit when I opened my eyes, I didn't remember ever sleeping on the bed. Ender and I were drinking wine, but that's all I remember. I was in the bedroom Aria usually slept, I looked to my left and saw her face up close next to me. She instinctively snuggled up to me, her arms circled my stomach.
"Joel" she groaned in her sleep.
She becomes affectionate when she's sleeping, very cute of her. I get up from the bed, I feel like I want to throw up. I looked at the nightstand next to me, there's a piece of paper on top of the nightstand. It's Aria's writing, she writes that if I were to awake I should replace Kallen's guard duty.
