Faith Of The Void | Chapter 26

Aaron takes care of Rose and Winter. As the days go by, Winter starts to see how things are very unnatural in her home. Her dad and mom are both hiding things. She doesn't understand a lot of it but starts to see and understand that not everything in this world is all fun and games. She starts to have the mindset of a young adult at the age of 5. A few hours later on the third day, Dante walks into the room to see if she's all right. He gets on a knee and tries talking to her to see if she wakes up. "Hey, Renesmae, It's Dante. Are you doing all right?" Renesmae remains asleep needing it all to recharge her body. Dante kisses the top of her head "I love you." He says as he walks out of the room. Aaron takes Winter outside later on that day, While Rose stays inside watching the cameras. Renesmae still sleeping starts to learn how to use her power. That lets her see into the future, But it doesn't help much knowing she still can't remember anything. Aaron shows Winter how to fight a little bit at the age of 5. It's a pretty young age. But he wants her to be on her toes all the time to make sure she is safe and her family is as well. Dante walks out to Aaron and Winter. "Hey Aaron, You think I could show winter some things?" Dante says. Right before Aaron can answer him, a kid comes running around the back of the house with a bloody nose and his face cut up. He is around 6 years old with black hair and very light red eyes. He hides behind Aaron as he turns around to look down at him. Winter looks at him as well, "Hey, Buddy, what are you doing? Where're your parents?" The kid looks up at him and doesn't speak. Winter waves at the boy and he waves back. Aaron smiles "Do you want to come inside?" He asks. The boy looks up at him and shakes his head yes. Aaron picks the boy up as Winter follows them into the house. Dante walks in with them and asks the kid what happened. Rose looks down at the boy and takes a wet rag and cleans his cuts up a little along with his nose. "What happened to you, little buddy?" Rose asks while she cleans him up. Aaron sits at the table watching the kid and Rose. Winter sits on the floor and plays with a few cars on the floor along the wall. The boy watches Winter and smiles, Rose gets done cleaning him up and he runs over to Winter to play as well. She looks at Aaron and walks over to sit at the table with him "Where did he come from?" Aaron looks at her "I don't know he just showed up in the backyard looking like that" Dante looks at the little boy and goes over to tell Aaron "Don't those eyes look familiar to you at all? I feel like I've seen someone with those yes. He's a demon too I can sense it" Aaron looks at him and then back at Rose, "I don't know about that, He doesn't know he is a demon clearly" Aaron says as he watches Winter and the boy play. Dante feels something like something sharp hit his stomach. He drops to his knees and lets out a huge yell, grabbing his head. The kids, Rose, and Aaron look at him. Aaron knees down at him "You okay?" He asks as he tries to watch Dante and the kids. "Renesmae," He says as he runs upstairs Everything turns red and white all around him, and runs into the room Renesmae is in and sees her floating out of her bed. Aaron follows "Clam down Dante she is fine," Dante says "No she's not. I feel a presence I haven't felt in over four years." He grabs Renesmae and pulls her back to the bed and everything goes back to color. Dante says "I can't really tell what's going on but it doesn't feel right. We need her memories back. Now!!!" Aaron looks at him and leans on the doorway "You're messing up the progress Dante" He says "Your tripping from being in the same room as her earlier. That's why we don't come in here" Dante says "What progress what the fuck is going on. Walk out here since we can't be in here and tell me what you're doing to my goddamn girlfriend." Aaron leads him out of the room into the hallway and closes the door "Dante she is trying to heal and be normal again. it takes time. Along with the toxins her body puts out during this process" He says as he leans on the railing. Dante asks "What toxins?" Aaron sighs "It's biological toxins which are poisonous substances produced by certain microorganisms, animals, and plants. Some examples of toxins of biological origin include Diphtheria Toxin, Tetrodotoxin, Pertussis Toxin, Botulinum Toxin, Snake Venom Toxins, Conotoxin, and Ricin." He says as he looks over the railing at Rose and the kids.
