Blinded By The Dark | Chapter 27

Aaron looks at Dante "It's just a process, Don't mess it up, and stay out of that room." Dante looks at him still thinking about what he said as he walks downstairs off, out the back door into the woods. Aaron takes a deep breath and walks back down the stairs as well. He looks at Rose while she mainly stares at the boy. "Rose, Why are you looking at him like that?" She looks at him and then back down at the boy as he runs upstairs to play with Winter in her room. "Aaron there is something about that kid that I don't like." He looks around the house "It is odd how he just showed up out of the middle of nowhere but we do live near a few houses" Rose looks at him "Maybe it's for the best if we move to your family's vacation house in the Neverlands." Aaron looks at Rose in shock. "But Rose, This is our home. We shouldn't have to leave it because of some kid that showed up in our house." Rose nods and walks into the kitchen. Aaron lets out a little growl as he goes upstairs to check on the kids. He opens the door to find Winter lying on the floor with cuts on her face and the window open. The boy is nowhere to be found, Aaron runs over to Winter and picks her up "ROSE!". She hears him yell as she runs upstairs to find Aaron and Winter. She puts her hands over her mouth and starts to cry. Aaron closes his eyes and holds his hand over Winter "She is fine, She's alive but barely" Rose grabs her and takes her into their room to try to clean up her cuts a little before she wakes up. Aaron looks around the room to find nothing "So he had to of cut her with his hands or claws" He says as he looks out the window and sees there's more blood at the window where the glass had been shattered but there was blood near the window as well. "Did she try to fight back?" he looks down at the ground below the window "Odd there's no blood on the ground, Even if he flew there still would have been blood trails." Aaron turns around to see a note on the back of the door. He opens it and it says "I may not have killed her but I will again" Aaron takes the note off the door as his body fills with rage "The kid was Hunter!". He closes the door and goes into his room, He walks over to Rose and hands her the note. As she reads it her eyes turn a dark purple "That stupid fucking bitch!" She walks out of the room and walks downstairs to try to stay calm. Aaron looks at Winter lying on the bed "I could have lost you" he says as he kisses her forehead. She opens her eyes a little "Hey Dad" Aaron smiles "Get some rest, honey, It will all be fine" She smiles as she slowly falls asleep. He walks out of the room to find Renesemae sitting on the stairs "Well look who is awake after like 5 days" She looks up at him and smiles "Hi Aaron" she says as Aaron's eyes widen "Do you remember me?" she nods "I'm starting to remember a few things, It's all coming back slowly" He looks down at her and smiles "Well that's good" he says as he walks downstairs and Renesmae does to "Hey Rose guess who is awake" She turns around "Is it Winter?" Aaron looks at her "Yes but someone else is to". Rose's eyes widen as she runs up to Renesmae and hugs her "Oh, my god your back!!!!" Renesmae smiles "Hey Rose, It's been a while". They all smile at each other and sit down and decide to talk for a little bit. As Dante walks through the woods he feels something. He thinks to himself "I know what this feeling is. I felt this when Hunter was nearby. Oh shit!" He grabs his hook and starts swinging off the trees back to the house as he bursts through the door. He runs to Aaron and says "Where the fuck is that kid!" Aaron looks at him "Calm down, Look who's up" Renesmae looks at him and smiles. Rose leans her head on Aaron and whispers "This is going to be good" Dante says "Yeah it's Renesmae what happened why isn't she still in bed. I thought the process takes longer." Renesmae stands up "Hi Dante" Dante says "Hey Renesmae. Now Aaron, why is the process stopped? Did I fuck it up or something? Listen man, I need her fucking memories back so you better finish the process." "Dante..I'm back, for the most part," Dante looks at her and back to Aaron and says "Aaron I fucking love you bro." He runs to Renesmae and picks her up holding her tightly telling her how much he loves her and how sorry he was for letting her out of his sight. Aaron nods at Dante, As he leans over to Rose a little bit more "Now he owes me" He and Rose laugh as Renesmae hugs Dante "Hey, It's okay I don't remember it all but thank you" Renesmae takes a step back and smiles at Dante. Dante looks her in the eyes speechless. She looks at him and giggles "It's okay, I'm back we can start over. Just me and you till the end" She hugs him again as Rose and Aaron go up to their room with Winter. Dante kisses her and says "I love you so much and I will never let you out of my sight ever again. I promise." She smiles and kisses him back, "It's all going to be okay". She grabs his hand and walks him outside to the dock 'I want to show you something I learned how to do" Dante says "All right. Let's see it." Her eyes turn white as she walks on the water "What do you think?" Dante looks in shock. He tells her "I also learned something too. Wanna see it?" "Yes," she says as her eyes turn back to normal and she falls into the water screaming, Knowing she can't swim. Dante turns everything around them red and white again as he ascends in the air and flies into the water. He grabs her and flies into the sky with her in his arms. "What do you think?" He says. She grabs his arms scared out of her mind "Please put me down" Dante lowers to the dock and sets her down. He lands and turns everything back to its regular colors. "Why did you fall in the water if you can't swim?" He asks her. She coughs up water "I can stay above the water until my eye color changes and when it does that means someone who has hurt me is around me" She looks around and sits up and walks inside her room to change into some dry clothes. Dante gets confused after she says that. He thinks to himself if it was him who hurt her or if it's Hunter and he's still nearby. He walks into Aaron's room and asks him about what she said. Aaron looks at him "Well it's possible that it was you, You hurt her mentally. It was all the bad things Oliva and Hunter told her about you. So with you staring at her, it caused her powers to stop working and she got trapped in her own head." Dante gets mad and says "How the fuck am I the one that hurt her after those faggots told her shit about me. I didn't fucking do shit to her at all Aaron. Do you know what kind of stuff they would say to her?" Aaron covers Winter's ears "Dante watch your mouth" Rose picks Winter up and takes her into her room. Aaron looks at Dante kinda mad because he cussed in front of Winter "Dante listen I don't know everything but I know they had to of said some stupid ass shit unlike everyone else I can read her mind and replay her memories but if I do that she will remember all that Oliva and Hunter said to her making her even more scared of you than she already is." Aaron lets out a deep sigh Dante says "No. She's been hurt enough. I can fix it. I know how to give her every little bit of her memory back without any bad side effects." Aaron growls "Go ahead you're going to fuck up the process Dante, You have to let her heal in time. You can't keep changing who she is now that all of that is said and done." Renesmae knocks on the door "Um Dante if you want I know a really good movie we could watch... If you want to come to watch it with me?" Dante says "Of course, I want to. I'll be out there in a minute." He whispers to Aaron "If she doesn't heal correctly at all it's going to be round two. Do I make myself clear?" He walks out of the room and grabs Renesmae by the waste and says "What movie is it?" Aaron gets into Dante's head "Remember if I die so does she" he leaves Dante's head and lays down thinking about a few things. Renesmae looks at Dante "Hey take it slow, please. Also, it's called The Sun Is Also A Star" She says as she sits down in the bed in her room. Dante sits down next to her and asks "Is there any chance I might've hurt you at all and that's the reason you fell in the water?" Renesmae looks at him "I... I don't remember" she says in a shaky voice as she pulls her knees-up to her chest. Dante grabs her and hugs her tightly and says "Let's watch that movie now. No more problems, no more fighting, no more being scared, just you and me." Renesmae looks at him and smiles but it slowly fades. As they watch the movie being cuddled up to each other she starts to fall asleep. Dante starts to worry about what's been going on. He pulls her in tighter and kisses the top of her head. He thinks to himself "Why does Aaron act like this. Who was that kid and why did he disappear. Hunter has something to do with this. I'm going to kill him one day. He's going to know what it's like not to have a kid." He shuts his ears as he lays his head on Renesmae's. Aaron gets up in the middle of the night to meet someone outside in the woods. The next morning Dante wakes up to see that Aaron isn't in the house. He asks Rose "Where did Aaron go?" Rose looks at him while she is cooking "I don't know but he does that a lot, He always comes back the same but acts a little different each time," Dante asks her "How different has he been acting after the huge incident?" Rose looks at the stove "Dante don't worry about it, We need to move on with our lives and try to forget all that's been going on...Try to live a normal life," she says as she puts the dishes in the sink. Dante walks into the room and gets back into bed with Renesmae and goes back to sleep. A few hours later around 1 in the afternoon, Aaron comes home to see Rose cleaning the house and everyone else asleep. He comes up from behind her and hugs her "Hey baby, I missed you so much" Rose turns around and gives him a hug "I missed you too baby, Where did you go last night?" He looks at her and kisses her lips "Just went outside this morning for a walk to clear my head was all baby" She smiles and goes back to cleaning. Aaron helps her around the house. Dante wakes up and walks out into the living room. He sees Aaron and asks "Hey Aaron. Where were you last night? I heard you walk out but I thought nothing of it but I'm just wondering where you went." Aaron turns around and looks at him "Just went for a walk," he says with a mad tone of voice as he looks back at Rose and goes upstairs. Dante thinks to himself, "Why would Aaron go out in the middle of the night and get back at one in the afternoon?" Rose stops cleaning and goes upstairs with Aaron. Soon Renesmae comes down and sits on the couch still half asleep. Dante sits down next to her and grabs her hand as he asks "Are you hungry at all?" She looks at him "No" Then she lays back on the couch and tried but her skin looks pale. Dante asks her "Are you feeling all right? Your skin is very pale." She closes her eyes "I don't feel all that great, It feels like something is just taking the lift out of me??" she says as she tries not to fall asleep. Dante gets up and walks upstairs to Aaron. He asks him "Hey Aaron can you help me out with Renesmae? Yesterday she seemed fine and now she's very pale." Aaron looks at him "I don't know but based on what I know she's probably sick or something is draining her body.." Rose looks at Aaron and kisses his lips. He looks at Dante "I'm kinda busy right now Dante". He walks out of the room and goes to stay with Renesmae till she gets better.
