On his lap
When she woke up it was 9 pm, she had slept for 6 hours now. She thought Lu Laoyang must be sleeping, she went to the kitchen to get some water to drink but was surprised to find Lu Laoyang still working on his laptop.
He wore a grey sweater and brown trousers. He looked so handsome in those clothes. She walked behind him and was staring at him from the back.
Ning Quio didn't realize that the man had caught her staring at him.
"Are you admiring me?" he asked
Ning Quio was caught off guard and stumbled causing her to fall on him.
She fell on his lap and their eyes met her face blushed red.
"Hmm?" he asked again.
"I..I.I...wanted to ask if you carried me to the bed" she lied
"Yes you weren't comfortable on the sofa"
Ning Quio was still on his laps because he held her in his hands.
"Boss, could you kindly let me go?"
"Let you go? you hurt me when you fell on my lap"
"Boss CEO I'm so sorry, I was wrong"
"I don't like that apology"
She was dead, this man would surely not let her go. If it was any other man she could have struggled but she felt weak in his hands.
"Boss what....do you....want?"
"Ning Quio are you scared of me?"
"Boss who wouldn't be scared of a cold CEO as you"
"Are you part of those people"
"Errr no..yes...I mean...no."
"...." he stared at her blankly not knowing what to say.
He let her go" Go and sleep"
"But I just woke up"
"Be good"
Ning Quio bowed her head in disappointment and left the living room to her room.
Next morning.......
Ning Quio woke up and went downstairs and saw that the king was seated having breakfast. She joined him but as she was about to eat something dawned on her.
"Boss I've been staying in your house?"
"Yes why"
"I thought I was in my house, I'm sure I'm in great trouble now, everyone must think am missing"
"You've been here for three days only, who would think you are missing?"
"Tang ye, she would be worried sick about me"
Ning Quio said in a crying voice.
"I've taken care of everything, they think you've gone on a vacation"
"Did you tell them personally?"
"I used your phone"
"....." Ning Quio was shocked
"Am going upstairs now"
"Wait" He held her waist and turned her to face him.
"What?" she asked
"Can you stay here from onwards?" he asked looking at her sadly
"Why?"
"I'm lonely, I always feel easy being around with you, I won't ask anything from you again"
"Alright," Ning Quio agreed because she couldn't deny such a handsome person.
Lu Laoyang smiled and let her go, from today they would live like a couple.
The next morning Ning Quio woke up when hearing a noise from downstairs.
She saw Lu Laoyang clutching onto his stomach, he seemed to be in pain. He held a glass of water and was taking a pill.
"What's wrong?" Ning Quio asked rushing to him.
"Just a stomach ache" He replied as if nothing had happened.
"Just? look at you in so much pain and you say just a stomach ache?"
"It's a normal thing, I have anaemia and not supposed to take seafood and spicy food but I took spicy food yesterday "
"The one we are? what's wrong with you? how could you eat such a thing when it's not good for you?" she scolded him.
He had never been scolded but when scolded by her he loved it.
"I'm sorry" he apologised
"Don't apologise to me, think about yourself"
She called his doctor to come and he arrived in a few minutes, after having a checkup he gave him some medication, asked him to rest and left.
Lu Laoyang being a stubborn guy didn't rest and continued to work, this infuriated Ning Quio.
"Lu Laoyang do you have a problem with your ears, the doctor said you should rest but you've been working since morning"
"I'm sorry, I'll go take a rest now"
Ning Quio watched him go and heaved a sign of relief.
