Twilight: Inhuman Human

Vampires. A perversion of nature and an unnatural predatory added to the food chain. They'd run rampent for millennia, killing and playing with humans however they see fit. But not anymore. Gaia, the Spirit of Earth, had had enough. She would not stand by as the Humans were preyed on anymore. Thus, he was born. A human with the power to rival a Vampires. An inhuman Human. Impossibly strong and fast. Impossibly vigorous and energized. The perfect human. But what Gaia didn't know was that she was manipulated into this action by an even higher God who'd just granted some wishes for a reincarnator. Said reincarnator was reincarnated as this so-called perfect Human. Yet unlike what Gaia wanted, a force to combat the Vampire infection on her planet, she got a reincarnated martial artist who just wanted to live his life again while romancing hot chicks. Quite the opposite to what Gaia wanted, honestly. But she couldn't change anything, so he was free to do what he wanted. And so he did. (A/N - Right, so this novel is gonna be a 'Rosalie x MC' novel because there are so little of them out there. Oh and if you're against the notion of the MC being Bella Swan's brother, then don't read this. He's gonna be her brother and he's gonna be a decent brother to her. So that means he's not gonna be an arsehole to her. You know, the basics.)

Sparring With A Vampire

"Jason, are you really thinking this through right now?!" Rosalie harshly whispered to me as we were off to the side and away from the group.

We were currently outside the house now, and I'd changed into some more casual clothes which consisted of a tank top, some sweatpants and some combat boots.

Anyway, I looked up at the blonde, my lowered position being from my need to stretch before what I'd guess would be a very intense spar, "Uh, yeah?" I gave an unsure answer. I saw where she was coming from...but was it really this big of a deal?

If I didn't know any better, I could've sworn I saw a vein throb on her temple, "If you're trying to instill me with confidence, it isn't working, Jason," she said with a straight face before it cracked somewhat, turning to worry as she continued, "Can you at least not pick someone other than Jasper? He's new to the diet and he might go out of control if you bleed--" she was cut off by an indignant sounding Alice.

"Erm, excuse me, we can hear you, Rosalie," she said, gesturing between herself and Jasper who was now in more casual, fighting clothes. Basically a hoodie and some sweatpants.

Rosalie leveled a stare at the shorter girl, scowling before she rolled her eyes and looked back to me, "Just re-think this, Jason. Please," she lost her scowl and just looked pleadingly at me.

"I have thought it out, Rosalie," I said as I let out a groan as I stood up, my stretching over, "And with you guys here, I doubt he'd be able to kill me even if he went berserk. It's not like this is a life or death battle either," I gave her a disarming smile as I gave her shoulders a comforting squeeze, "So, just relax. I'm not gonna be leaving you just as soon as I found ya, okay?" I said this like I was joking but I meant it. I ain't gonna die now that life had gotten so interesting.

Planting a kiss on her forehead, I walked passed her and she didn't stop me. Instead choosing to huff and walk off to the side where she watched me like a hawk, ready to jump in if Jasper had any malicious intentions or took the fight too far.

"We ready then?" I asked Jasper who was drinking another blood pack just so he was in tip-top condition and fully sated. Just in case. He drained the blood bag and nodded to me.

Off to the side, I heard Emmett speak up to Edward, "So, you wanna bet on who wins?" though he only got silence in replied he still carried on, "No matter how strong that kid is...I don't see him beating Jasper. Guys a fighting machine," he laughed at his own joke and Edward finally gave him a response. Though it wasn't the one he wanted.

"Jasper would disagree with you looking down on Jason," Edward said and Emmett went quiet.

What was left was the Cullen's watching me getting ready to fight one of their own. The two of us were about eight or nine feet away from one another, a distance either of us could easily cross in less than a second.

But I decided to make the first move. I flexed my calves and burst forward in a flash of blurry speed, sending a probing jab at Jasper who dodged it with ease. Following it up with another jab, Jasper easily slipped it like the previous one and timed his counterattack at just the right time that a right counter slammed into my face.

...Right, Vampire. This was gonna be an experience.

Other than the ridiculous speed at which he countered, the force behind the punch was incredibly. It made a speeding van look like a squeaky hammer. But other than that, his movements were unobstructed and the way he created force for the punch was practically seamless and without fault. His range of movement at his joints seemed much better and more forgiving then a normal humans. But I already knew that, now I just have to adapt to it.

I took the punch like a champ, no damage being taken by my ultra-dense skin. Jasper seemed momentarily surprised by the lack of damage and I took advantage of that surprise and whipped my foot out in a roundhouse kick aimed at Jasper's head.

My foot struck through the air like a bullet and yet Jasper still dodged, albeit with some difficulty. Yet I wasn't done.

I willed my body to move faster. I pushed my joints and muscles to their max and brought my foot down, the ground shaking as the bottom of the boot strained under the impact. I pivoted as I touched the ground, spinning on the spot and sending my other foot at Jasper's midsection as a side kick.

The increased speed of me pushing my muscles and joints, plus the force and speed added by the centrifugal force of me spinning to change my stance, made this kick pierce through the air with enough force to make a whistling sound that was harsh to my ears.

Jasper had no time to dodge and could only throw his arms in the way of the kick before it hit him with a tumultuous bang. He was sent flying backward, through the tree behind him and through the next few trees after that. He came to a stop when he slammed his feet into the ground. After he did that, he looked at me...but this time, his entire aura seemed to change.

He was taking me seriously now.

Smirking at this realization, I lifted a hand and made a 'come at me' gesture. He didn't dally and ignored the torn sleeves of the hoodie that had taken the brunt of my kick as he flashed toward me, a small smile of his own spread across his face.

He came back at me with a front kick of his own, which I sidestepped, letting it sail harmlessly passed my chest as I sent a right straight at his face as a counter. He dipped his head back, dodging the punch like he knew it was coming and I carried on, taking my left hand and throwing an overhand punch aimed right at his face.

This caught him a little off guard but he simply let himself drop to the ground, letting gravity help him dodge and just as I was catching up to his falling body, he narrowly rolled out of the way. Momentum truly is a bitch and my fist crashed into the ground, burying itself in the dirt.

Before I could pull it it, I felt Jasper's foot impact the side of my knee and I collapsed to a kneeling position. Turning, I saw Jasper's fist just before it impacted my jaw, snapping my head away in an explosion of sound. It wasn't that he was so much quicker than me but that his experience was so vast that I couldn't compete all too well.

27%.

Smiling, I felt my heart thumping in my chest as excitement flooded my veins. It'd been, well, forever since I'd found someone I could fight.

Instincts that love fighting. Because of them, I'd always felt a little suffocated. Restrained. If I didn't hold back against normal people, they'd die. So I could never fulfill my one wish of having a good ol' fashioned brawl.

...Yet right now, I could really go all out as much as I wanted.

Still in my kneeling position, I blasted at Jasper, my arms wide and my center of gravity low. My shoulder impacted his stomach and I wrapped my arms around him as I took him off the ground and then I really began sprinting. Maneuvering Jasper, he took the brunt of the force as I forced us through the trees in the surrounding area until he hit a rock which exploded when we hit it.

When we hit it, I let go of his waist and stood up straight as I grabbed his collar.

Jasper seemed, at most, a little dazed and I took that chance to throw a right cross at him which he barely slipped and countered with a hook that hit the same place as before.

49%.

I pushed through, the sound of my heart beating flooding my ears alongside the rush of blood, and I dodged a follow up punch from the same arm. I grabbed the wrist when it passed me and I yanked Jasper along with it, all for him to meet my knee which had lifted to be on level with his diaphragm.

The knee hit, Jasper not being able to dodge it, and knocked whatever air he currently had in his lungs, out of them. He gasp in pain, a cracking sound reminiscent of stone cracking echoing throughout the surrounding area.

The force was so much that his feet left the ground and his body was suspended in mid-air.

Though just as I was about to take advantage of that, Jasper used my grip on his wrist as a fulcrum and flipped himself fully over me until his feet landed on the ground. And then he grabbed my hand, twisted my wrist and forced me to release him. At that point, I knew something of what was gonna happen but it was already too late as he grabbed my arm with both hands and just...threw me.

I flew through the air, my stomach doing flips as I did but I quickly maneuvered myself on instinct alone. My pupils constricted and I saw myself flying toward a tree at what felt like a snail's pace but was definitely faster than the human eye could see.

74%.

But without missing a beat, I put my arms out in front of me and just as I made contact with the tree, I grabbed the tree and swung my feet around. My momentum carried me and I swung around the tree like I was performing a complex gymnastics performance on a metal beam. I flashed around the tree, my fingers gripping the bark and tearing it up as I went around, leaving what looked like an animal's claw marks on the tree.

As I was faced in Jasper's direction once more, I let go of the tree and I shot toward Jasper with the momentum and speed of a cannonball, both my feet outstretched in a dropkick.

In next to no time, I arrived in front of Jasper...except he just jumped and I missed.

That confused me for a moment but I quickly saw his plan as he flipped in the air above me. Knowing what he was planning, I moved my feet below me and held my arms in front of my face in a cross guard.

Gravity once again did it's job and Jasper fell feet first toward my face. Him falling onto my guard made me fall as well, though I'd been prepared so I caught myself with my feet.

99%.

Looking through my guard at Jasper, I saw him raise an eyebrow at me and without giving him anymore time, I went to grab his leg except he flipped away toward the tree behind him and used it as a platform to kick off of and burst back at me.

He led with a kick which I dodged easily enough, having gotten quite used to his moves over the past few exchanges. So, instead of letting him recover, I slammed a counter cross right into his face, a blast of sound, like a muffled explosion ravaged the surrounding air as Jasper shot through the air and back to the tree he'd used as a platform.

100%.

I'd adapted to a Vampires improved body maneuverability, flexibility and reflexes. Now all I had to deal with was his experience in fighting, and right now, my heart was burning with a battle lust that told me I'd start to eat up the ground between us through sheer talent. I was a human born to fight, after all.

Except, a clap came from the side and I turned to see an astonished and pleasantly surprised Carlisle looking at me with the rest of his Coven, "Truly, Jason, Bravo," he continued clapping before he spoke further, "I'd heard from Rosalie and Edward about your feat of stopping the van...but to see you fight Jasper with my own eyes and seeing you adapt so quickly to it no less...it's astounding," he said with a wide smile that spoke volumes of his curiosity as a doctor.

I looked back at Jasper and saw him dusting off his ruined clothes with a slightly surprised expression that differed from the usual wooden one he wore so often. He looked up at me after this and paced over to me before holding out his hand.

"It was a good fight. You have talent for it," he said his piece and I could respect that.

Taking his hand, I gave it a firm handshake, "Thanks for going along with my selfish desire, Jasper. I'd like to spar more the next time we get the chance," I sincerely said, the disappointment and outright annoyance at the fight having ended so soon still smoldering intensely inside of me. If only the fight continued fore a few more minutes.

Jasper nodded at what I said and we both let go of the other's hand and while Jasper walked over to Alice, I looked over at Carlisle and gave him a smile filled with gratitude, "And thank you too, Carlisle. For listening to me and doing me this favor."

Then I looked to Rosalie who looked at me with barely veiled surprise.

"What? Surprised I could take you in a fight?" I teased her as I walked up to her, "I thought I told you I was pretty strong," I jokingly flexed a bicep in her, earning a laugh off of Emmett and, surprisingly, Edythe.

Rosalie just rolled her eyes, though not before taking a look at the flexed bicep. Muscles will never disappoint, it would seem.

And with that, the spar/fight was over...and now I was hungry again. Shit.

Well, at the very least I figured out how I square up against Vampires - I could easily beat normal ones. Pretty sure I could beat multiple normal ones.

Only if they have vastly more combat experience will it be hard to put them down. Jasper was slightly physically weaker than me and he was only slightly faster than me, but his vast combat experience allowed him to know how to get around anything I threw at him. So, I need more fights to be able to take down Vampires like Jasper. Simple solution, I guess.

And with that, the lot of us went back to the house, leaving behind a portion of wrecked forest.
