Hmmm, I must say. This world is fascinating. The magus in this world did not like other people to know the secret of their art; at the same time, they were willing to sell their magical items to others.
Their magical item called Mystic Code is something that interests me. They are relatively weak, but they are rather useful. Most of the Mystic Code is about destroying targets with many debuffs. There is a mystic code in the form of a ring that lets all of my attacks have a debuff of mana drain. Sadly, the absorption rate is too low, and the same with the limit of how much mana it can absorb.
It cannot even absorb all the mana from a level 1 magic-oriented player.
The other mystic code with potential is a dozen arrows. This arrow is imbued with the debuff of slow. If only the effect was stackable, it would be a lethal weapon. Or at least have a longer effect time.
With a quick modification, I think this arrow can be very powerful. I can do what the arrow does use my spell, but if there is an alternative that does not use any mana, I will take it. However, there will be a lot of experiments to do.
Speaking of experiments, I really need to do some experiments with all my spells from YGGDRASIL.
"Hmmm, Gaia. Where can I do some testing?"
"Testing?"
"Yes. I want to test some of my spells and I think this will be destructive."
"En"
She nodded and took my hand before suddenly appearing in the middle of a grassland. This is no longer where the human lived. I can feel the thick mana in the air and the many mythical beasts around us standing there. They are not hostile because I appear with Gaia.
"Here. Training."
"Thank you, Gaia. Here are other cookies for you."
"Oooo~"
I chuckle a little at her small victory noises before grabbing the cookies from my hand. I shake my head and take out the guild staff from my inventory. When my hand holds the guild staff, I can feel my power get boosted a lot, especially my mana.
I take a deep breath and slam my staff on the ground. After slamming my staff on the ground, five trees appear from the ground. This is [Dummy Trees], a low-level support/joke skill a [Druid] has.
It summons five dummy trees that can be used as training dummies. It was a skill that usually gets thrown away by many players, but I kept it because I have a lot of spell slots.
"Let's see… What kind of spell should I test first? Angel and Demon are already proven working and they are loyal to me. Hmm… Let's try elemental. [High-Tier Summon: Primal Air Elemental]!"
After I say that, a humanoid creature appears in front of me. Its lower body is a tornado made of wind, and its upper body takes the shape of an eagle, complete with wings behind its back. A violent wind surrounds it and prevents anyone from getting close.
I hummed a little when I did not have a connection between the Primal Elemental and me. When I summon the demon and angel, I can feel a connection between us. I think I should use a different word. I can feel a connection between the Primal Elemental and me, but unlike the demon and angel, it did not release a sentient feeling.
It is like a golem instead of a living being.
"Now… Let's see how powerful my spell is. [Primal Air Elemental]! Attack me with all you got!"
At my order, the Primal Elemental roars and starts to release a huge gust of wind. I can see it flap its wings and create a tornado. I can feel a tingling feeling from the sharp wind around me. Primal Elemental is a bad match for me because I have a passive skill from the [Druid] class tree that reduces any elemental attack.
With a grin on my face, I slam my staff on the ground and activate a spell.
"[World of Trees]!"
This massive AOE spell releases a debuff to all of my enemies inside the area. It did not cause any damage, but the debuff is something else. It is slow, mad, and blind.
"Then [Napalm] [Hell Flame] [Vermilion Nova]!"
Three spells hit the Primal Elemental at once, and the effect is immediate, the Primal Elemental thrashing around before releasing a hundred wind blades at me.
"[Shield of Asgard]!"
A golden light surrounds me and blocks all incoming attacks. While my shield blocks the attack, I point my staff at the Primal Elemental and say.
"You don't like fire, right? Take another one! [Triple Maximize Magic: Vermillion Nova]!"
Three massive pillars of fire appear from the ground and collide with each other to create a massive pillar of fire. It lasted only a few seconds but was enough to kill the Primal Elemental.
I get too carried away and use destructive and high-ranking spells instead of using them from the lowest one. Balls. Oh well. I guess I can summon another creature to fight… Or I can just do the dummy tree. Dammit, Sullivan! How could you forget about that and instead use a living creature to fight you?
I shake my head and prepare to cast more spells. I point my staff at the tree in front of me and cast my spell.
~Sometimes later~
After a few hours of spamming my spell, I know that all of my spells are working just fine. Even my passive is the same. The passive is like physical damage reduction or a cooldown reduction passive.
Sadly, some of the limitations from the game also come along with me, like how each of my passives has a cap in them. For example, cooldown reduction only reaches up to 60%, which is a bummer because I have a lot of that passive skill from each of my classes.
It was a massive boost, but it is really a shame it cannot reach a hundred percent cooldown reduction.
The other limitation that I don't like is that Super-Tier spells (Be it from class or from item) will not be affected by any cooldown reduction items, passive spells, or active spells. I just use two of my super-tier spells and need to wait three days before I can use them again.
However, I also noticed something when I tested my spell. I look at a group of puppies playing with each other and sigh a little. A certain summoned creature will stay in this world. It looks like I create them instead of summoning them from another dimension.
It was more a creation magic instead of summoning magic.
The fairy Race, Spirit Race, and Outer Race have their own world. However, Demon, Angel, and Beast races did not have a world to stay in; instead, I made them with my mana. I don't know how it works and decide to put them into a game logic instead of thinking about them.
The only difference is the Demon I summon with [Hell Parade]. They are the demons that already exist because of the World Item and will continue to exist as long as they have mana fed into them.
Sadly for them, only a certain 'quality' of mana can feed them, and that mana is coming from me. I don't know if it was because I'm a player or is it because they need a specific quality of mana to feed their kind. I need to be careful not to let them betray me for a more powerful being out there that can feed them.
World Items are something very troublesome to fight.
I shake my head and walk toward Gaia, who looks at me with her usual unblinking eyes and says.
"Do you want to come with me, or do you want to stay?"
"Come"
"Very well. [Gate]"
I summon a portal to Zelretch's office, and we walk through it. When we arrive inside his office, I can see three people other than Zelretch looking at us. I can see a beautiful woman with brown hair and black eyes while wearing an equestrian outfit, complete with a riding crop. The other two are old men wearing robes with dark colors. I cannot see their faces because they cover them with some sort of mask that releases mana. A concealment magic item, huh?
"Here he is!"
Zelretch walked toward me with a bright smile on his face and continued saying.
"This is the man who released that huge amount of mana, Lorelei! He is Sullivan, a new Sorcerer! Another Second True Magic user! Like me!"
I look at Zelretch with a confused expression. Since when do I become a Second True Magic user?
It has been a while, huh? Because of a scam, I needed to sell most of my valuable things and did not have time or even the equipment to write a story. I need to sell most of my things to buy food and pay the previous month's rent and other bills. I'm writing this from the company's computer. I'm sorry to ask this, but if you can spare some changes, please visit my Ko-Fi page (Ko-Fi.com/fangrove). Your support helps me to write more.
