Survivor(3) (Volume 5 Chapter 6)

A green-furred wolf was staring at me while making a low roaring noise. The wolf was looking towards me who was sitting on a tree branch.

Wolves can't climb a tree is basic knowledge but what I didn't consider was that the tree I was on was not that high in height and the wolf in front of was a not normal wolf but a green wolf.

my base hurts I didn't know wolves can grow vines to pull you to ground.

He must be a monster where is my knife,

???-" Oh it was there."

"Stub"

A paw was on top of the knife and drops of waters was falling on my face. I looked up to see the green wolf staring at my face.

How will I survive now?

my only hope is magic but I didn't know any attack magic....maybe that would work.

I started to chant with a low voice, the wolf stopped for a few moments but after seeing the magic circle he opened his mouth to bite me but it was too late

???-" [Flash]"

A blinding light enveloped the area but I had already closed my eyes and on opening them I saw a blinded wolf wriggling on the ground.

Now is my chance.

Without wasting any time I used my skill [Stab]

in the chest of the wriggling wolf, the wolf died after bleeding to death.

"Gruuuu"

Another monster no it was the grumbling sound of my stomach, I had not eaten anything and I had also dropped my food and water and only Ice Glory was in my bag. I preferred mobility over rations and even though it had saved me I was hungry now.

???-" Could I eat a wolf? it's all meat in the end."

I found a nearby stream of water and after skinning the wolf I washed its blood in the stream and while doing so I heard footsteps approaching me.

I immediately took a stance with my knife and started to chant to use my magic. flashing and killing if it's a goblin and if their numbers were great I would simply escape.

A man in silver armour was in front of me but the armour didn't belong to the Linval kingdom because its symbol was different there was no house with a bow as a symbol according to what I know from the village headman.

Was it an enemy knight on a mission and will he silence me for seeing him?

The knight approaches me with heavy steps but he wasn't holding a sword

Knight-" I don't have any intention of hurting you."

???-" It's a woman."

The knight was not a man but a woman but didn't mean I can put my guard down.

Knight-" I think you should worry more about the group approaching us."

Group approa-

"Houuuuu"

"hou"

Five wolves came after the howls and were growling behind the lady knight.

Knight-" Looks like I need to deal with them personally."

The knight said that and two blue swords possibly made out of ice appeared in her two hands, the swords appeared from thin air without even a magic circle.

???-"Sorcery?"

Without answering me she cut the heads of two wolfs at the front and continued to cut the next two wolves, seeing the scene of carnage the last wolf fled with tails between his legs.

The one who did the carnage was coming towards me.

She was now right in front of my face.

Knight-" I have to ask you something of great importance."

Was this knight wanted me to hide her secret or some price to save my life, either way, I can't refuse her so I simply nodded my head in agreement.

Knight-" Can you cook?"

???-" Huh?"

It was night and we were eating the wolf I had cooked the knight was eating like she was on evading her pursuers and had not eaten for days.

Well, I could see what was inside the helmet but from her voice and behaviours, I assumed she must be a cute girl as her chest area was none existent and I misunderstood her for a man.

Knight-" They are coming."

Without any warning, she formed a blue sword in her hand and gave me a bow and some arrows from her bag.

Knight-" A Hunter must know how to use a bow"

I nodded at her question and climbed up a nearby tree.

We waited for about ten minutes. The clouds thinned in the sky and the moonlight began to shine through the leaves. As I squinted, I could see three giant forms walking this way. They were covered in scars. Likely, they were veteran warriors. But their skin was a pale green. They were not human. Monsters. At a glance, they look almost corpulent, but their arms and legs were thick with muscles.

Oink. Oink. I wasn't sure if they were breathing heavily or whispering to each other. But the three big pigs were not very quiet as they came closer. I stared and waited for the right timing. They were looking around their surroundings as if searching for something. Then one of them looked in our direction and pointed. Ah, so they were looking for food.

Any sense of caution seemed to have left them as they ran towards the food. They must have been really hungry. Unfortunately for them, this was the end of their road.

◇◇ Lady Knight's POV◇◇

A current of magic passes through my hand and into the ground. Just as it arrives at the feet of the orcs it turns into a light blue. The ice magic activates.

The name of this skill was [Ice Spikes] which was taught to me by my best friend.

They pierced through the feet of the orcs. A dirty blue liquid that was likely their blood, covered the spears of ice as they shot from the ground. Without missing a beat, an arrow came flying down and landed in the brain of one of the orcs. The dead creature fell on its back. Its knees were bent as its feet were fixed to the ground.

I then stood up and swung my sword into the neck of the closest orc.
