Looks like the charity work I did was going to help me somehow.

After an hour passes there were noises in the victory of the village.

Death Lord-" Looks like the fleeing duke has arrived, he took his sweet time reaching here."

I wanted to inquire about Christina from the elf but the elf was sleeping now and I had to check the duke.

I was watching the main gate of the pioneer village where an old man whom I think was the village chief was receiving the duke.

The villagers were surrounding the armoured carriage.

They weren't doing it because the duke was riding it but because the carriage didn't have any horses to pull it, I don't know how were they making the carriage move but I guess they must

be using some kind of magic.

Village Cheif-" Your Excellency I Shetok welcome you to the frontier village of Laspec."

Red carpet flows out from the carriage and steps appear and waking on those step is the duke and his guards.

The duke without minding the greeting of the village chief comes out from his carriage and starts to shout at his subordinates.

Duke-" Where are the damn reinforcements, why aren't they here at"

Knight-" Sir, We have already sent the message but it looks like they will take more time to reach here."

Duke-" USELESS, each and every one of them"

He is shouting on the top of his voice but I am more interested in knowing the whereabouts of

the Black Death did she went back as her escort mission finished?

" GRUAAAH"

That was a pretty loud roar and from the sound of it is coming closer.

As everyone was running in a panic state the duke went inside his armoured carriage.

Duke-" Hurry up!"

Knight-" But sir, who will protect the villagers"

Duke-" They will be honourable sacrifices for my escape."

Where did the charm and aura when he was giving a speech at the Fort Wayne disappeared to?

He was now like a scared child did the falling of the fort affect him that much or something happened when he was fleeing through the forest.

The horseless carriage rushed through the village like a speeding car and was soon too far to be seen.

The departure of the duke was followed by the arrival of the wyvern it was around 2 metres tall

rather young but still a dragon.

The village was now helpless against the wrath of the wyvern and most probably everyone will die. I would love to help but only as Valor because Death Lord was no hero but a devil.

I should now escape the village with the girls till the wyvern is occupied with the villagers, can't waste their honourable sacrifices.

I went back to the abandoned house. The house was empty, did they ran away after hearing the commotion.

Now, How should I even find them among this chaos.

As I was moving among the now nearly abandoned village I saw Cecil.

Cecil-" Master"

She said before running up to me.

I patted her head and asked

Death Lord-" Where are the other two?"

Cecil-" They are currently helping Melena's mother."

Death Lord -" Melena?"

Cecil -" The girl which asked for the potion."

That teenage girl's name was Melena and of she was with her mother than she must be a resident of this village.

I followed Cecil to the house where the rest were

and on entering, I saw a lady in her mid-thirties

lying on a bed with Melena holding her hands.

Melena was crying but she wasn't sad, on asking

Cecil about me she told that it was something about her mother being ill and her getting a herb which has saved her mother's life.

So I now had a more person to carry, I was honestly thinking of getting a carriage or something and then pulling it while using

[Super Sonic]. I may even beat the bullet train while I am at it.

Death Lord-" We should leave now if you don't want to be a wyvern's food that is."

Melena -" But mother needs to rest."

I sighed

Death Lord-" Someone must have a carriage in this village."

Melena-" We have a carriage but we already sold the horses, so I don't think it will be helpful."

Melena said in a feeble voice, was she feeling apologetic?

Death Lord -" We won't need them."

Elf-" Then who will pull the carriage?"

Oh, a new voice I turned my face towards the source of the new voice, the sleeping elf was now awake and was now pointing a knife towards me.

Death Lord -" I will deal with that but is pointing a sword towards your saviour a custom of the elves."

Her way of pointing sword at me reminded me of when Christina and I met.

While I lifted Melena mother I asked

Death Lord-" Are you related to the Greenwood kingdom?"

The elf fell silent

Death Lord -" Don't worry I won't harm you."

Till it doesn't interfere with my goals but that part will be in my mind.

Elf-" I am Keshelia kurzeff ,the head of the personal guards of the Woodgreen Royal family."

Cecil was surprised with her declaration but the face of Melena remained unchanged she must have known it already.

Death Lord-" what is someone like you doing here in the boonies?"

Even if she was a guard of the royal family she should have escaped with the royal family or should have died honourably on the battlefield her coming to the Linval kingdom didn't make any sense.

Keshelia- " I am trying to find someone, someone whom I have taken an oath to protect even at the cost of my very life."

Someone she has taken a oath to protect, she is the head of the personal guard which protect the elven royal family but they have already escaped and the only one of the elven royalty in the Linval kingdom I know of is

Death Lord-" Christina."
