Training Pokemon

For a while I have read over all the cut and paste concepts on the Pokemon world trying to make the host strong as well as his Pokemon using the gamer system. I understand it's a dangerous world and you want to give the MC extra plot Armour. I thought about this and realized that the host would rarely fight in matters that needed strength except in situations that dealt with Legendaries. If that becomes par for course though in the story. What's the point of making this a long term novel that deals with the growth of a character. I would've set this as a short novel that deals with an overpowered MC that one shots all situations that need it. Also I wish to point out that Pokémon have sentience. The world also has abundant food with berries being around and the things that happen in Pokedex's in the games, I'm gonna try to stay partially away from as this is rated at a rating lower than 18+. (That's mostly because I find cursing unnecessarily to be just plain bad etiquette. I can understand if it happens when something bad occurs and you can't control your mouth. But flippant use of them just to annoy people is just that. Annoying...) The original story is also about friendship, journeying, and finding a purpose in the world they're in with their friends. Sabrina, Dawn, and May deal with contests. While Ash, and Iris love battling. Brock even finds a purpose on his journey as a breeder fully going into the field instead of just pursuing it as a side hobby like before when he had to take care of his brothers. As such I find it, while not useless for writing. A complete disappointment and withdrawal from the nature of what this world represents. What with hope and friendship being these main parts, and if you're fighting every creature you meet into submission. How is it possible for you to truly bond beyond servant and subject. Another thing is inside this story I will not limit the host to having 6 Pokemon on his being. No this would only apply to gyms or competitions as these kinds of things would require a more formal structure. I have decided on a new idea for this system that instead focuses on the Pokemon themselves. This includes knowledge, buffs, items and so on. The system will be less of a RPG stat layout directly as this still exists. But the stats come from training with the other stuff like others would train in a real world. The exception being Buffs. He can also use the system to build a utopia for his Pokemon. He can even slow down the time inside to gain larger training time later on for specific species which grow slower like Ninetails or various Ghost Pokemon. Enough of this Synopsis and rant though and on to the story. Ps. It's obvious, but I don't own this image. So I take no credit for it. And if someone eventually would like to make an image for this story I will thank you. Sincerely. PPS: Comments help me keep my want to write. When I notice there's not a lot of comments. I second guess my writing, like a lot. Probably for a good reason as I know I like to over analyze things, and I KNOW that's gonna influence my writing. I can see it deeply ingrained. So if you guys like my style please comment.

Chapter 13-First True Victory

As It turns out training was slower than I originally expected. I also realized that my zero practical experience before Emblaze made the 5% learning boost instead only able to boost my partner's learning speed by 1%. Even with all the memories from the purchase some parts were specific to a certain species so the 5% was an overall idea. Examples included boosting the tail flame on a Charmander. It even came with a few don't or suggestions which involved things such as the Charizard's tail flame not working in completely the same manner and as such the training method wouldn't be as good for a Charizard. Other things that held me back were the necessary tools for the training. Some boosts were dependent on special gear and other things.

Still even with the limited knowledge and tools at my disposal. I realized my training was most likely faster than others, minus Ash (The Training One Night To Power Up Freak). My system was honestly really handy, and while it wasn't exactly overpowered. It had untold, untapped, unstopping potential, and yes alliteration was needed in order to show just how amazing it was. Still, to train Charmander faster and better I would most likely need more Pokepoints; which I only knew how to get through two methods currently.

"Emblaze come over here," I spoke simply trusting him to come over. "What's the problem partner," the Pokemon said in a fake Cowboy accent enjoying the feeling of messing with a human about there stupid accents. Pokemon's didn't typically have accents after all they all talked the same unlike what people thought. "What do you think about your current progress," I asked waiting to hear a reply. "Well all things considered I'm lucky you ended up picking me," the lizard replied. Melancholy spread about in the air. We thought about our situation, the short time it was. It had been nice so far.

Getting to the point I decided to hit two birds with one stone pardoning the inward pun at such a statement in a Pokemon world. It made one wonder even. Was there a rock Pokemon that did precisely that? "Then it's time. We will go out and find a bug type Pokemon to battle. We don't want to get in above are heads do we," I asked. Nodding seriously we departed quickly gathering all of my things that I had brought.

Taking a few right paths we eventually made it to a clearing full of grass and at least 20 Caterpie. The sight made me wonder about the Pokemon relation to animals from earth and their habits. "This won't do," I whispered to my partner. We both understood that we were worried about facing one of these Pokemon at a time. All 20 or so would simply be a death message with a letter of intent and then confirmation.

Pointing behind me we sneaked into the forest hiding in bushes trying to find another target. After a couple of hours we had finally come across another Pokemon, but this one was not a Bug Type no it was a Grass Type Budew.

"Do you want to risk going against this one; You do have the Type advantage, but in a battle anything could happen," I asked worriedly. In particular I was worried about how poison worked in this world. "I know that bad things can come out of this, but we need to do this for our futures." Smiling I nodded to my partner and changed my mentality. We needed to win now, not tomorrow nor another day in the future after that. And we Needed To keep Winning!!!

"Emblaze use Leer at twice the power," I commanded him quietly. Understanding the purpose he did so unnerving the Budew in front of us giving the image of no escape to the Pokemon.

"New Move has been discovered-Mean Look- Prevents a weaker opponent from escaping by sending a death signal to the Pokemon from every direction. This move will amplify Leers effects by a multiple of 6 when in use at a cost of 10 aura. This move can not be stacked currently."

Thankfully all the training had helped Emblaze mostly improve his Aura amount.

No longer bothering to hide my presence I shouted out my next order "Use Ember while running at the target. Remember, run in a zigzag pattern we're not a mindless charging animal." Taking straight to the orders the lizard was able to dodge the attempted Absorbs that were made in fear. As soon as he finally got within a foot of his target he switched to what I taught him. The Upgraded embers exploded in Budew's face sending it flying into a tree fainted. Which wasn't even a battle. It was simply a beat down, and it was thanks to that I knew that we had won.

Screaming out in joy I couldn't help but shout "We won, our first non suicidal win." Trainers who heard the shout started walking in a opposite direction from where the voice came. They didn't want to fight a crazy person. The excitement only grew when he noticed a message.

"By completely dominating a fight you gain one Pokepoint."
