Chapter 67: Confession under the starry sky.

"Alright, whatever you like." Li Wei replied and Ling Yue happily turned to the elder woman and requested to check his past too. The woman agreed. Who would say no to extra money? Li Wei extended his palm and Ling Yue leaned closer. She was more interested to know more about him than Li Wei himself.

"Hmm.. This is your fifth life too." The woman said and Ling Yue started thinking about his previous four lives. Did they by chance meet in those lives.

"Ohh.. Then what was he in those lives?" Ling Yue asked and the woman started going through his lines.

"He was an emperor in his previous life." The woman said and Li Wei nodded. Okay. She got this right.

"Woahh.. Young Master. I was a princess in previous life. Do you think we ever met in that life?" Ling Yue asked and Li Wei simply smiled before replying.

"Might be we did." Li Wei answered but deep inside only he knew that she was the entire meaning of his life. She was his everything and he was her entire world. Ling Yue nodded and asked about the third life.

"It says he was a ruler again." Li Wei nodded again. Rem was a lord. Ling Yue now looked impressed.

"I was a witch. Does that mean you were a wizard king?" Ling Yue questioned Li Wei to which he adoringly rubbed her head. "Might be I was." Ling Yue satisfactorily nodded hearing his answer. Li Wei smiled noticing how she was enjoying this talk.

"He was a merchant in his second life." The astrologer said and Li Wei and Ling Yue simply nodded. She was a maid and he was a merchant. Neither of their lives seems interesting in that.

"What about the first life then?" Ling Yue asked. If she was a fallen angel, then what was Li Wei?

"He was a demon." Ling Yue again laughed hearing this. Demon? And that too Li Wei? She should tell this to Li Mei later. The woman didn't feel bad. In reality, she was not able to read much about their first life. Though weird, it was not like this study was accurate. So she just related the nearest possible fantasies and told them.

"Alright.. Then can you tell me about my future? Not about my professional life and all. but about my personal life. Like in next ten years. Where will I be?" Li Wei asked and this time he felt a little nervous. Will Ling Yue be there beside him? Will they be married after ten years? There were many things he wanted to know. Though he knew believing these answers can be silly, a part of him wanted to hear a positive answer.

The woman now took his right hand to read and looked at it for some time. She took more time than while reading the left hand. Li Wei now had his heart racing. Why was it taking so much time?

"What happened? Why is it taking too much time?" Ling Yue asked as she stood up and bend over the table to look at Li Wei's palm clearly.

"Ahem.. You will be a family man by then." The woman replied but Ling Yue was not satisfied. What was that answer? Anyone can guess that after ten years he would have definitely started his own family. She wanted to hear something new. She was about to speak something but Li Wei bet to it.

"How about we check your future Yueyue?" Li Wei asked and Ling Yue pursed her lips. Professional life was okay, but not personal life.

"Huh.. What do you want to know about it? That am I going to bag the Entrepreneur of the year award away from you?" Ling Yue commented sarcastically but Li Wei didn't budge.

"You can take it away. I have no issues. Now how about we check about your personal life?" Li Wei asked again and Ling Yue pouted. Yeah, she looked extra cute now but Li Wei has already shielded himself from her puppy eyes. He made her sit on her seat, extended her right palm and showed it to the woman. The palmist started studying it. Unlike Li Wei's, which too few minutes, Ling Yue's palm was read in seconds.

"Hmm.. She has happy days ahead." The woman said and Ling Yue raised her eyebrows. Really? She thought she would be spending her days in hospital. This future teller was not that bad. Who would not like positive answers. Fake or not, Ling Yue didn't care and simply smiled.

"See. I have happy days ahead." Ling Yue happily chirped to Li Wei while extending her palm for him to see. Li Wei took and kissed it making Ling Yue blush a little but she liked it. The woman observed this interaction and glanced at each of them. Li Wei payed the fee and both of them left her room.

"Yueyue. Can you wait here a little. I will go to washroom and comeback." saying this Li Wei handed her the bags he was carrying and went into the building again. Ling Yue didn't have any problems and found herself a seat to sit.

"Why are you back young man? Did you forget something here?" The astrologer asked as she saw Li Wei entering her cabin once again.

"Hello Miss Qi. Sorry for barging in. Can you tell me what exactly did you see in mine and Ling Yue's future?" Though Li Wei didn't believe it, he could tell there was some kind of inference they could make using this. The woman raised her brows.

"I think I have already told you before?" The woman said and Li Wei knew how these things worked. He took out money from his wallet and again paid for the session. The woman couldn't refuse the money.

"Can you now tell me what you read in our futures?" Li Wei asked again and the woman nodded. She didn't want to upset her customers previously but since he was so eager to know, she would just reveal it.

"Well, I cannot say that whatever I say is accurate but the girl's life line is too short and almost at the end too." Li Wei's heart froze hearing this. This was what he feared. He didn't want her away from him.

"T-Then what about mine?"

"Sorry young man, I don't see a marriage line in yours. But I see that you will have wonderful kids in future." the woman said and Li Wei shoulders slumped down. Even the astrologer felt a little bad for him. She can see how much this man loved that girl.

"Nothing is definite in this world. Everything keeps changing. If everything we predict is accurate, then we would be called gods." The woman tried to console him a little but Li Wei knew what was going to happen. But he still had hope. He was able to see their past. That meant someone was helping him find a way. And he had to do it quickly.

"Thank you so much. I will take your time anymore." saying that Li Wei left her cabin and found sitting on a low wall with her feet dangling. Wrapped in her white jacket, with her hair dancing along with the gentle breeze and a small but happy smile playing on her lips, Li Wei just fell deeper and deeper for her with each step towards her.

"Hmm.. You came? Now where?" Ling Yue asked jumping down the wall and handing him the carry bags back. Li Wei took them back and replied.

"I still have somewhere to take you. Wanna come?" Ling Yue nodded instantly to his question. She didn't even ask about the destination. They soon got on to the bike and this time Li Wei headed towards Ji Jing.

"Heh? Why are we going back to Ji Jing?" Ling Yue questioned looking at the nearing mountains.

"I want to show something to you. We will be there soon." Li Wei and accelerated his bike. Soon they reached the forest and Li Wei held her hand while walking into the forest. Ling Yue knew this path. It led to a lake. But why were they here now?

"Look there." Li Wei said and Ling Yue followed his line of sight. The scene laid in front of her was beautiful. The fire flies lighting up the entire lake surface and the stars up above in the sky glimmered like diamonds.

Though it was soon going to be dawn, the stars were still visible and so was the moon. The air was fresh in Ji Jing and the both early morning visitors lay there on the grass, watching the starry sky.

Li Wei found out about this place few days ago when he came to Ji Jing to check if the forest was really burned and to his surprise, it really was. He saw this place at the bottom of the mountains while wandering.

Ling Yue didn't ask how he knew about his place. She knew more beautiful places than this in Ji Jing, but it was Li Wei's presence beside her that the scenery looked mesmerizing.

"Thank You Wei." Ling Yue soft voice sounded beside Li Wei which made his turn to look at her. She was looking at him with those calm, yet playful eyes of her. Only hindrance was her black contacts which she only removed at home or office. Ling Yue thanked him because she was happy. And the reason for her happiness was Li Wei.

Under the starry sky, with the twilight painting the sky and the birds singing to welcome the new day, Li Wei couldn't hold back anymore and descended his lips on to hers. He wanted her to know that she was more than just a friend to him. And he too wanted to be more than a friend to her. His lips nibbled hers, slowly tasting and caressing them to open.

Ling Yue was stupefied with Li Wei's sudden kiss. She was simply looking at him and suddenly his face zoomed in her vision and his lips touched hers. She had her eyes wide open as Li Wei nibbled her soft lips.

Li Wei stopped his kiss and moved a little back to look at the stunned girl. He slightly smiled before brushing her nose with his.

"Forgive me sweetheart."

'Forgive me for those times when I hurt you and forgot, forgive me for those times when I left you alone to suffer. Forgive me for those times when I failed to comfort you.' These were the words Li Wei wanted to tell her but stopped himself. He knew he would sound like a freak if he told her these things. Hence with the witness of both sun and the moon, he kissed her again and this time Ling Yue closed her eyes and welcomed his kiss.

This time he gently bit her lips causing her gasp and part her lips. His tongue dived in as soon as her lips parted and found her tongue. Ling Yue moaned as his tongued explored every corner of her mouth. None of them knew when, but her hands hugged his neck and her slender fingers twined with his soft thick black hair. Li Wei left her lips when he felt she ran out of her breathe.

Ling Yue panted but still held him tight. Never had she felt this before. Li Wei's gentle yet passionate and affectionate kisses kindled an unknown fire in her, causing her to itch and ache for something she didn't know. Opening her dazed eyes, she found Li Wei looking straight into her eyes, boring into her soul.

"Thank You my Yueyue. Thank you for stepping into my life." 'again'.

"W-Wei.." Ling Yue didn't get a chance to finish as he again landed his lips on hers. This time Ling Yue too tried to kiss him back but it was slow and sloppy. But that didn't matter to Li Wei. She tried to kiss him back. That was all he needed.

Six months ago, he had no idea that he would one day love someone so crazily. That someone would fill his heart and soul to brim. That someone would crash in to his heart, build a nest there, play there, grow a whole garden of love in it and when he looked into it, it would all be filled with traces of her everywhere. What kind of magic was this? How can this little fist sized heart feel so many emotions?

"I love you Ling Yue. My love. I love you." Li Wei said those words softly beside her ears causing her to open her hazy eyes and look at him. He loved her? Ling Yue always thought she would run away from this emotion called love. But when those words left his lips, she didn't feel anxious, scared or insecure. But instead felt serene, as if this was how it was since always. Her heart skipped a beat looking at those dark abyss like black eyes which has long sucked her soul into him.
