Pocketing the small black red pill, Shinobu observed the striped fishmen in front of her, wondering how he would react to the sudden emergence of an enemy inside of his laboratory.
Zeo looked at Shinobu in a short bout of shock, his face quickly turning serious as he tilted his head upwards and looked down at Shinobu in scorn.
"Letting the enemy in was all part of my plan! It is easier to let the enemy come to you than searching around."
He sounded so sure of himself that even Shinobu raised a brow in amusement. If she didn't know better, she would have believed it. Well, maybe.
"What a well thought out plan. Then how do you plan to get rid of me I wonder. Do you even have a clear understanding of my battle capabilities that you are so sure of yourself."
Shooting Zeo a mocking smile, Shinobu approached at her leisure, glancing at the laboratory equipment with sparkling eyes.
'These were just the instruments she needed to improve her medicines and poisons. What a lucky find.'
Taking a bottle of blue liquid in her hand, Shinobu observed how it moved.
"As I am sure you were aware of, my companions should have begun their own skirmishes with your fellow crewmates. Unlike you however, they should be disadvantaged, as they have no knowledge about their enemy."
Putting down the bottle, Shinobu trailed her fingers along the working bench, her other hand slowly drawing her blade.
"Even with the little knowledge Lafitte gathered about them, they should be able to easily handle you. I wonder, are you as confident in your prowess as I am in mine?"
With a devious smile painted on, Shinobu dashed forward.
[Dance of the bee sting: True flutter]
With a poised strike, Shinobu stabbed towards Zeo.
Having been on guard as she spoke, Zeo moved backwards as soon as Shinobu rushed forward, dodging the attack.
This however, didn't deter Shinobu as she continued her relentless attacks.

After I dodged the attack, the fishmen woman in front of me continued her assault, her attacks following closely behind even the slightest of movements, as if a wasp was tracking my every move in its fury.
This can't go on any longer.
I find that even with my stronger physical physique, the woman managed to easily keep up with me.
Backing away even faster with a stronger amount of force, I quickly hid myself under the cover of invisibility.
Having lost track of me, the woman's eyes scoured the room, not even a bit disturbed by my disappearance.
Ha! It's all a front. Let's see how you will deal with my strong attack!
I drew close to the woman, my chains ready to break that frail neck of hers.
Coming closer and closer, I couldn't help but regain my confidence again.
Even so, just to be sure.
I quickly took in a few pills I had created a while ago, not even caring how mad the captain might be if he found out later.
Stopping just a meter or two away from the woman, I undeliberately called out my attack while slashing my chains towards her neck.
"Camouflage Carpet!"
At that moment, the moment my chains were about to circle around her easily snappable neck, her eyes look straight at me.
Purple compound eyes like that of a dragon fly stare in my direction, as if she had seen my every move.
"Found you~"
Ducking under the tightening chains, the woman rushed towards me at an even faster pace than before.
Her sword moved so fast I could barely trace their trajectory even with my enhanced powers.
Within a second, I felt pain rushing through my body, coming from the six places I had been stabbed in quick succesion.
"Dance of the Dragonfly: Compound eye Hexagon."
Resheating her blade, the woman drew close to me, looking down at me with her obnoxious smile.
"Let's see how this poison turns out to be. I made it especially with your racial attributes in mind~"
Croaching down beside me, the me who couldn't even move a single muscles as they spasmed in pain. The me who felt my muscles tear and repair from the poison she injected me with.
I looked at her and only one thought came to mind, one that would haunt me along with that smiling face of her as she stared at me as if I was but an specimen inside a bottle.
'I should have announced my attack after I did it.'

Seeing the fishmen spasm under the influence of my newest poison, I couldn't help but be a bit disappointed.
'He won't last long.'
That was all that came to mind when I looked at the fishmen lying at my feet.
I wonder since when I began to feel like this.
I thought these kinds of thoughts were only reserved for the demons, the ones I regard with such hatred.
Yet when I engage in battles in this world, I can't seem to help it with every enemy we face.
The marines, the pirates, the fishmen and the slavers.
The longer I spend in this place, the more I begin to see them as the demons from my world.
True, they don't consume human flesh, but some of their actions, if not most, end up with the loss of life.
Fortunately it doesn't seem to have become too bad, as these thoughts only occur with the few battles and encounters we've had so far.
I still see the mermaids as human, still see a lot of the fishmen as human, the minks and the other humans as well.
It seems my different view of things isn't so bad as once thought.
"Argh...! gah... hah..hah..huf.."
being brought out of my wandering thoughts, I see the fishmen at my feet beginning to croak.
With a precise act of kindness, I quickly end his misery, as I've already collected enough of the data from him.
"My, the results were exceptional. I do wonder how they react to Muzan's spawn though..."
"*Whistle* You get scarier as the days pass~"
Hearing a familiar voice, I glance over my shoulder and spotted Ban, who leisurely strolled inside.
"Ah, Ban-san. Just in time. You can take these laboratory supplies to the ship for me. Meanwhile I will go look for the captain."
Having said my piece, I left without the need for a reply.
"How harsh! Then I'll see you in a few. I too want to see the little fox fight."
Ban yelled, making sure I hear him.
Ha, it would be hard not to hear him.
I chuckled at these thoughts.
"Then I will wait for you there."
