Chapter 34: A sudden assault
Vis' tent got filled with a heavy atmosphere.
All those virgins gathered in one room. They had been expecting Vis to pick them one by one, but he was just looking at them with curiosity in his eyes.
The target of those were monkey descendants that had a little different, but cute ears. There was also a thin tail behind them…
"Umm…" Women just couldn't keep all their emotions inside and faint groans escaped their lips.
They could imagine what would happen to them after seeing such curiosity.
But Vis just shrugged and said, "Sorry for being so curious. I just have never seen a woman with a monkey bloodline. I don't think I would ever see a royal one, but you can't have everything in life, right?"
Vis smiled, then added, "You are all free to rest here. For my stay here, I don't think there would be people bold enough to take you away from me. I will be resting as well."
Saying so, Vis took the seat on his bed next to his maid and both of them closed their eyes. It was another way to allow these women to rest.
In his mind, Vis began to learn some retreat abilities that he had been feeling already in the Dream Wall.
As he said before, no one could have everything, but Vis surely would reach out for every possible technique!
His imagination hands were already going for the retreat ability!

A few hours later, just before the sunrays invaded the world again…
"IT'S AN ASSAULT!" The soldiers rang out the bells and woke up everyone!
The moment these bells' swept through the border, every Merthic Empire's soldiers stood up and equipped their armors and weapons in the blink of an eye.
In an orderly manner, they took the positions and waited for General Fran's orders.
They were like machines with how orderly and perfect they just did it.
"Report," General Fran said to the soldier who immediately saluted.
He began to pass the information, "Around ten thousand soldiers are in our way! They already got close to the wall and somehow moved out of our radars… I don't know how they did that, but we might fight here, close to the construction!"
"Have you spotted their commander?" General Fran continued… It should be the first thing to report, but the soldier bowed and replied.
"We couldn't see anyone… They are moving repetitively without anyone at the helm…" The soldier felt like it was too weird.
General Fran voiced what lied behind the soldier's doubts, "It seems like the commander has hidden… Our intel hadn't said any new news about their generals… so I guess we will know the moment we clash! Raise your weapons! We shall dominate them with the power of our Merthic Empire!"
"YES!" The soldiers roared and took positions!
The archers pulled bowstrings, then let out silver arrows that made Vis narrow his eyes. He had been here from the beginning, his eyes scrutinizing every move.
As he thought, "Those arrows are made out of the emperor's skin… How disgusting…" It was not life, but something as atrocious as breeding farms meant for food supplies.
A human had something similar to this; Vis couldn't help but feel disgusted.
"Those soldiers feel weird… They are just moving as if lifeless... Where are the arrows to answer our attack? Where are the shields to protect your front from our arrows? And once our soldiers move, what will you do?" Vis asked inwardly.
The arrows hanging in the sky went down as if to answer his question.
One by one, the silver trials began to lit up in its beautiful, but sharp light.
However, just before they could reach the enemy soldiers, the enemies suddenly scattered in every direction.
"Wha-what?!" General Fran spat out a lot of saliva from the shock!
Those soldiers acted like monkeys as they squatted and jumped in every direction without bumping into anyone.
Despite heavy armor on their bodies, they nimbly used their legs and hands to jump around.
It was like an athlete's show for a second! All those soldiers just began to rush around, but General Fran's lips began to shiver.
He felt like he knew what it meant…
"Even human soldiers… move nimbly like monkeys… This is the… royalty's ability? There is a royal descendant here?" General Fran felt his body getting a little colder as well.
If there was a royal descendant… then only one of twelve generals or royalties themselves could have any chances!
However, it didn't mean that he should just stay and wait for his death.
As a general, he had his pride!
"It's pointless to hide, Monkey Royalty!" General Fran shouted, "I will be the one to slay you with this sword bestowed by His Majesty The Emperor himself!"
Since Merthic Empire's soldiers got highly confused and shocked by the appearance of the royal descendant, the general's words were louder than usual.
He wanted to show the power of his empire and break this confusion with it!
Luckily for Merthic Empire, this had positive effects and soldiers began to properly make flanks under General Fran's orders!
"Kakakaka!" But the sudden laughter rang out. It was so loud its purpose was clear…. The laughter broke the general's command, then the royal descendant sneakily unleashed his weapon at General from the side.
How he appeared here was one big mystery.
But one should expect anything from the royalties!
His staff tore through the air, then he clashed with the general's swords.
"Not bad," The royal monkey said, "I thought I would at least get a proper hit on you since I am playing the sneaky role… I was playing, rather."
"So the royal monkeys have fallen to such petty tricks. I feel like you are losing more and more dignity the more we fight," General Fran countered, then raised his sword highly.
It knocked back the royal monkey.
He then kicked the ground and stomped on the big wall. By then, his armor began to crumble!
However, it was nothing more but the cover!
In its place, the golden armor that looked perfectly suited for the royal descendant clad itself on Royal Monkey's body!
"Kakaka! I felt it! Those arrows, armors, and your sword! I feel like I know… what it is!" The Royal Monkey's laughter and words brought some fear to Vis' heart as this secret would cause too many problems in the empire's world!
