Chapter 56 - Light as a feather and a pack of doggies
"On second thought...", with his back against the edge, Zyran took a step back and plunged down.
'BANG!'
The snake's massive maw closed, followed by it's eyes being filled with joy as it prepared to receive the sweet taste of human blood that it had so dearly missed. But even after 10 seconds, the snake tasted nothing, that's when it's eyes shifted towards the bottom of the cliff, allowing it to notice it's descending prey.
With an enraged gaze, the snake produced a powerful hiss as it's whole being became consumed with the intent to kill. Through it's now narrowed slits, it eyed Zyran for a few seconds, before slowly retreating back into the forest, it's massive body disappearing into the murky fog.
'Whoosh!'.
The sound of wind cutting through his face was all Zyran can hear, as his body dropped down at chilling speeds, covering dozens of metres in seconds and still dropping.
