Ch 3: Fallen for her

Prince Matthew Osas turned back to stare at the magnificent beauty in the room with him while she looked downward feeling nervous and in fear of what he would do to her. He walked passed her and went to take a seat on the long couch while she stood still looking downwardly.

"What's your name?," Prince Matthew Osas asked as he sat on the long couch placed in the study room staring at her, while the library was behind the study room.

"Tata, no Fiona," Princess Tata Edwards replied as she continued to stare downward, looking at her feet and not wanting to meet the crown prince intent gaze on her.

"Tata!. That's a beautiful name," Prince Matthew Osas said as he complimented her beauty and continue to stare at her.

"Where are you from?,' he asked her still keeping his gaze on her. He saw how she struggled to respond to a simple question and she shook her head in contemplation.

"You don't know where you are from?," Prince Matthew asked and she nodded in response.

"Hmm, Are you an orphan?," He asked her and she nodded again not knowing what to say. She recently lost her father but her mother was still very much alive, she prayed for forgiveness inwardly in her heart as she knew she had told a greater lie against her dear mother whom loved her the most as she was her mother's favorite daughter and her last child.

"Tata!,' Prince Matthew Osas said her name in a deep masculine voice and she raised her head up to meet his gaze.

"What will you like to drink or eat?," Prince Matthew Osas asked, and just then they both heard another sharp knock on the door startling them as the knock repeated.

Irritated with the continuous knocking at the door, Prince Matthew Osas stood up and went to the door, to see whom was knocking as he had warned Simon and Timothy to give him some privacy, so he could talk to the beauty.

Prince Matthew Osas opened the door and was shocked to see his mother.

"MOTHER!," He exclaimed and paused on opening the door widely. His mother wondered why he was still standing at the door.

"Why are you acting surprise to see me Matthew?," Queen Rosa Osas asked him as she walked passed him and came into the study room, Princess Tata Edwards already went to hide behind the curtains and the door leading to the library while Queen Rosa eyes scanned the study room.

"I came myself to inform you about our dinner as your guard said you didn't want to be disturbed," Queen Rosa Osas said as she took a seat on the long couch.

"Mother I will soon come downstairs to join you for dinner," Prince Matthew replied.

"Why are you punishing yourself son?. Why are you doing this, you know you have to be crowned king and you have to accept a bride from the maiden of our lands, you can't continue to reject them before other fractions that are against you ruling, would look for a way to attack us.. Son!," Queen Rosa said.

"Mother can we discuss about this later, you can go back downstairs. I will soon be there to join you for dinner besides brother is around," Prince Matthew said as he wanted his mother to excuse him not knowing where the beauty had hidden.

Queen Rosa saw her son eyes scanning the room and she asked him, "What are you looking for son?."

"Oh!, Nothing mother," Prince Mathew Osas replied as he smiled at his mother standing in front of her.

Queen Rosa stood up and stared at him surprisingly as she hadn't seen him smile in a while. "What's so amusing that's is making you to smile?" She asked him as she walked passed him to the door while he escorted her.

"Is nothing mother, I will soon be downstairs," Prince Mathew Osas replied her.

"Really, I wish it was something as you hadn't smiled this much in a while especially with the talks of marriage at the council meeting. Just don't keep your brother and I waiting at the dinning as I don't understand what you are actually doing here in this study room and smiling to yourself," Queen Rosa Osas told her son as soon as she walked out of the study room. She turned to stare at his shadow guard that stood by the door, guarding the door and sweating profusely like one whom was worried.

Queen Rosa Osas shook her head and walked passed him and decided not to ask him what her son has been doing in the study room all these while. She went back to the second building as it was conjoined with the building that the study room and Library was. While her two maids and two guards escorted her from behind.

Prince Matthew Osas sighed and went to the door leading to the library, as he was about opening the curtains, Princess Tata Edwards stepped out from the curtains and meet his gaze

"Am sorry, she's actually my mother," Prince Matthew Osas apologize to her and she nodded looking downward as she stepped away from the curtains.

"What will you like to eat or drink?. I will ask the maids to serve you," He asked her as he went to door to inform his shadow guard to call a maid to come serve him a dinner.

"Simon, Instruct the maid to serve a dinner and bring it here to the study room," Prince Matthew Osas said to his shadow guard as soon his he stepped out of the study room.

"But my prince, Queen mother request you join her for dinner in the royal building," Simon refute.

"I know Simon, do as you are told." Prince Matthew Osas replied him and went back into the study room, closing the door behind him, while Simon called a maid on the third floor and instructed her to serve a dinner and bring it to the study room.

Princess Tata Edwards already went and sat on the long couch stretching her legs. She actually thought the prince had left but seeing him return she immediately stood up back.

"No, you can actually sit. I will be leaving you now to join my mother for dinner, but I have already instructed a maid to come serve you dinner," Prince Matthew Osas said to her. Just then a maid came knocking at the door and Prince Matthew replied, "Come in!."

The maid came in with a tray of food and she almost had a heart attack as she raised her head up to stare at the lady in the room face. He hands shook and the tray almost fell from her hands but she held on it tightly and went to place it on a side stool, before bringing it to the lady's front knowing Prince Matthew was having his dinner in the dinning hall. She took another spoon out and tasted the meal first and then covered it while she left the room.

Prince Matthew told Princess Tata, "I have to go now, I will soon be back and please don't leave this room or go out to the hall." He said to her then he turned and left.

Princess Tata Edwards wondered why the crown prince was so kind to her, she stood up and immediately said the magical words to lock all her magical powers, "La la la!." She locked her powers so her family wouldn't be able to track her as they had the power to visualize where she was hiding if they they found out she was actually missing.
