Chapter 3
Lady Vivian POV
"Hahaha they are really ignorant in this world" I commented. How can they just play the tele communicator like a ball?
"It's our fault for not exposing them to the real world. Every decade, the city changes. There are new inventions every week, the mages are not like before and even humans changed too. they are not greedy unlike before," My husband said.
"I know. But I am still scared for them, especially for the princess. We still need to take care of her" I said.
"We are doing our best. But, are we still not ready to let them go and let them explore on their own? We keep the princess for too long. Humans even believed that the Animans were extinct. I don't think there would be a trouble for the princess anymore" he said.
"Wait, is this related to why you gave them a tele communicator? Why do I sense that there is something going on?" I ask.
"Yes. As you know, we are too secluded in the new civilization. The government might investigate us as we keep the ladies here and they are not sent to school. All kids around our ladies age are going to school. No matter what gender it is. Unlike before that they only allow men to go to school and women should be in the household. Once the government see that there are still children far away from the city, they might took the children away from us as we didn't perform our role as their parents. There is a new law stating that every child in the country should be given an education no matter what status they are in" He said.
"But, we have the land title and we can say that the children are homeschooled. We often buy latest books for them to catch up. They might be more advanced than the child of the same age as them" I said.
"But we both know that they are 500 years older than them. They lack on social skills too," he said.
"What are your plans for them?" I ask.
"I passed an application for them to enter in the most prestigious university. My boss in my work helped me to apply. So, I sent a letter with their information. If that letter approved and they will allow the princess and Yuki to took the entrance exam, then we need to move to the city for them and leave the barn. They need a formal education" he said.
"But what if they transform in to animals when they are in the academy? What subjects are the academy will be teaching? What if our girls be bullied in the academy? We are not there to protect them. What if…"
"Shh, shh, nothing bad will happen with the two of them. Yuki and the princess learned a lot of self defense and self-discipline. It's been a while now since they transform to their animal state," he said.
"No. The princess and our child transform to animals earlier while they go back home. You know the attitude of the two of them when they are together. Both of them are sneaky and a menace. One of them will start to trigger one another to start trouble until both of them will be together in that trouble they caused" I said.
I am aware that the princess and Yuki are sneaking out of the house in the middle of the night when I locked them up in the basement. I only learn last night on how they sneak out. It turns out that they dig in the wall of the basement and hide the secret door they make," I said.
He laugh with what I just shared.
"Well, I guess I can confidently say that the two of them can escape troubles when they are together. Why not give it a try? We can still have two weeks to prepare them. It's not like the academy will approve their application as soon as possible, right? My boss said that it will took two weeks for the university to respond if the child can be allow to took an entrance examination. While waiting for the response, why don't we try to expose them to a lot of people in the city? Let's move to the city to help them adjust to the new environment." He suggested.
But, I still feel unsure about it. the kids are only used to this type of environment. They feel free because they can ran away to the forest to hide and play. But if we move to the city, I don't think the freedom they wanted, awaits them.
