Chapter 2

"Princess! Where are you? Princess?" I hear my best friend shouted. Ha. She's so weak. She can't even find me or at least ran faster to chase me. 

My best friend and I played a chase me game. It is my favorite game and I invented that game too. the rule of the game is to catch me. So Yuki, my best friend, need to chase after me and find me to catch me. And what's the price? Well, the price is simple and pretty. Uhm… It is, my nail. Yup! You heard me right. Once Yuki catches me, I'll give her my nail. Since she keep on nagging me that I throw my nails wherever I want and she keep on tramp on my nails hahaha. Our deal is simple. Once she catches me, I'll give her the nails I've nail cut and she will be the one to throw it nicely on the trashcan. But sadly, Yuki can't win over me. Because I'm the great Senaia! BWAHAHAHA!!

I keep on hiding up in the trees. I saw Yuki passed by on me. Tsk. tsk. I should have teach her that she should look up if she wanted to find me. 

Yuki is my one and only friend for all these years. We keep on playing pranks with her parents and siblings and we keep on pranking other passers by in the forests too. We made a lot of fictional stories to the children we met and camp in the forest or near the river and we scare them with our stories. HAHAHA it was fun. Because none of them came back after they hear our story. Hahaha it's just so funny. 

"Princess! The sun is about to set. We will be scolded if we came home late. Please show your self to me" Yuki desperately shouted. 

Hahaha I won't show myself to her not until she'll say the words I wanted to hear. 

I hear Yuki sigh deeply.

"Fine! I give up! the princess won" she said. HAHAHAHA YES! 3000 points for Senaia, 0 points for Yuki.

I jump off from the trees. 

"HAHAHA you're so weak, Yuki. How can't you find me? Tsk tsk. we've been playing these games all over and over again but you keep on losing to me" I arrogantly said.

"It's because your highness is too powerful for an ordinary Animan like me" she said.

"Aigoo. Are you saying that you're weaker than me?" I asks.

"Aish! Of course not! Who the heck are you saying weak?" Yuki butted. 

Yuki doesn't want to be called weak. Because she's been trained to become a powerful knight even though she's a woman too like me. Which I don't understand why. Because Yuki needs to be trained In sword fighting and in archery. While me, they call me princess and they don't want me to be hurt and whenever I hurt myself in a small accident, Yuki will still be the one who took the blame and got scolded. 

Yuki's sword fighting and archery is a top notch. There are no missed whenever she threw an arrow. And she can beat all the amazing sword fighter in our town. But I don't still understand why does her stamina is so weak? 

"You need to work up on your stamina. You're so weak" I said.

"I am not! It's just that the princess is too powerful than I am" Yuki said.

"There is no powerful between the two of us. If you trained a little harder, then you will be as stronger as I am. So don't belittle yourself" I said.

Yuki and I transform to our animal state. I am a werewolf and she's a fox. But sometimes she looks like a little puppy to me. Because she's too cute to become a fox . Hahaha 

We got home in time. but…

"Aigoo! What did I told you about transforming into animals in the forest, huh?" Lady Vivian said.

Lady Vivian is Yuki's mother. She's also the one who helped my parents when they are still alive. She's my mother's loyal maid and she served my mother for how many years too before I was born. She's good with her hands. She's so talented in making handicrafts, cooking and baking cookies and pies. Also, she's good in using her mouth to scold us.

"Sorry, mom," Yuki apologized on my behalf. Even though Lady Vivian is scolding us, Yuki always apologized to protect me. 

"Sorry, Lady Vivian" I apologized too. I don't want Yuki to be the only one to took the blame when it is really my fault in the first place.

"Do you understand why am I mad at the both of you?" Lady Vivian asks.

"Yes" I answered.

"And why is that?" she repeated.

"Because we might be hunt by the hunters in the forest. And they will kill us and eat our meats" I said. 

"And?" Lady Vivian asks. 

"Huh? There's more?" I am confused. I thought that is only the reason.

"They might know about our secret and our existence" Yuki answered. 

What? Our existence should be a secret? How come I didn't know about that?

"Why didn't you tell me that our existence should be a secret?" I butted in.

"What? I keep on telling you that" Yuki said. 

"No! no one told me!" I said

"How can you remember that I told you about that when you're too distracted on other things? You don't even listen to me when—"

"No! no! no! you didn't tell me anything. I don't know anything. Hmp!" I stomp my feet.

"I did! A lot of times but you weren't listening" Yuki keep on trying to explain.

"Blah blah blah. I can't hear you" I said

"Arghh!! See? that's what I'm talking about blah blah blah…."

Lady Vivian slapped her forehead lightly.

She carry both me and Yuki as if we're puppies.

"Both of you, quiet! You're fighting again" Lady Vivian said.

"The Princess started it first" Yuki reasoned out.

"Yuki didn't tell me something important!" I answered.

"SSHH!! One more fight, both of you will be grounded in the basement. With no light and food" She said.

It's not that Lady Vivian abuses us, it's just that, there is no other way for Yuki and I not to fight if we weren't locked up in the basement. But sometimes, we fought intentionally. Because we wanted to go to the basement and sneak out in the middle of the night to watch the Moon. 

I look at Yuki and wink. By now, she knows what I mean. HAHAHAHA

"Both of you should take a bath first" Lady Vivian said.

"Are we going to sleep in the basement?" I ask.

"No," Lady Vivian answered.

"Why? We just fought. Why won't you lock us up in the basement?" I ask. 

"Maybe we need to fight more to be locked up" Yuki said. We are now using a telepathy. It's a communication that we made when we both mixed our blood and drink it. I read a book about it and it said that you can only use telepathy to only one trusted Animan. You can't use it to other humans or species. Because the telepathy are often shared by the king and their trusted knight. And since Yuki is my best friend and I trust her more than anyone. That's why we did that ritual. Also, they say that once an Animan shared a blood to a royal highness, their loyalty will be forever with them even if they died. If their highness dies first, the Knight can't serve other Animan or species until he dies. Or they often commit suicide because of the lost of their masters. But, Yuki and I are not royalties and knight. I mean, I don't know why they are calling me princess, maybe because I am not related to them by blood, and maybe because lady Vivian is my mother's servant. That's why they called me princess. But they don't treat me as a princess though, because lady Vivian thought me some household chores and on how to cook, but sometimes, I sneak out hehe. Anyway, even though I am not a daughter of an emperor, a king or whatever high status it is, Yuki and I still did that because both of us trust each other and we promise not to break each other's trust and leave each other. Oh, and Lady Vivian didn't knew about it hahaha. 

"Because I saw a theft, sneaking in and out on our house the other night. That's why I can't let you stay in the basement" Lady Vivian said. 

Hehehe, why do I have a feeling that the theft she is talking about is Me and Yuki? We indeed sneak out the other night when we had a punishment.

"That's why I can't let you both sleep in the basement" Lady Vivian said.

"GOOD EVENING LADIESSSSS!!" A tall and gentleman arrived. 

It was Lord Val. Yuki's father.

"Papa!!" Yuki and I shouted. Unlike Lady Vivian, I called Lord Val, papa. Because he loves to spoil us with foods, toys and games. Whenever he's around, Yuki and I can freely roam around the forest with him. Lady Vivian is too strict that I don't want to call her mama or mother. Because she feels like a terror teacher for me. 

Lord Val, is the one who taught Yuki on how to fight using sword and on how to use an arrow to hit your target. He's our mentor. He's also the one who trained my stamina and made us a lot small miniature bomb. 

"Aiggooo, did my ladies miss me?" he asks.

"What did you bring? Did you bring us some sweets?" I asks.

"Yes, yes! sweets!! Or, did you bring us a fresh pork meat? Or a chicken?" Yuki asks.

Lord Val, often go out to work. He said that he's working as a construction worker to the nearest city. Though Lord Val, has a various work ever since I was born. I think he knows everything already. He experienced different kinds of works and he knows how to do it properly. I mean, how can't he be? If you have been alive for so long, you will get bored and you'll explore different kinds of job in the world. 

"Nah. Father didn't bring you anything today" he said.

"But…" Yuki was about to argue. Does he know how disappointed we were? 

"HAHAHA look at those faces. Your lips are so long that it reaches the door way" father said.

What? It isn't! Yuki and I both touch our lips. We indeed pout but it didn't touches the door way! It is impossible to touch the door way!

"HAHAHA fine, fine! I can't let you two, pout. Close your eyes first!" Yuki and I followed Lord's Val order. So both of us closed our eyes. 

But, I thought it is fine to just close our eyes. He even put a cloth in our eyes so that we can't peep out.

"I can't trust a young sneaky fox and werewolf like you" he whispered. Yuki and I groaned. We heard Lady Vivian chuckle.

They really know us.

"Come on, let's go out," he said. I can feel Lady Vivian's hands on mine. They are guiding me and Yuki as we are covered in a cloth while we're walking outside.

"Open your eyes!" Lord Val said. 

"How can I? it was covered. How to remove this?" I ask. Lady Vivian chuckled. 

"Looks like the princess needs a lot of things to learn in this world" Lady Vivian said as she's removing the cloth that covered my eyes.

I saw Yuki's cloth torn into pieces.

"What did you do to the thing that covered your eyes?" I ask. 

"I scratch it. like this… rawr rawr rawr" She said as she acted how she destroyed the cloth. Aahhh, next time I know how to destroy it if someone covered me something like that again.

Lord Val and Lady Vivian chuckled.

"Enough with that. Didn't you see my surprise?" Lord Val asks.

"Woooaahhh! What's this?" I asks. I am amazed with the two small crystal shining ball in front of us. 

"This is what you call, a tele communicator" Lord Val said.

Yuki and I keep on smelling the tele thing. It doesn't smell nasty and it doesn't smell nice too. 

"Hahaha both of you, enough of that," Lord Val said as she carries me and Yuki away to that thing

"the tele communicator is a device used nowadays to communicate to one another. I bought four of this. Your mother is using this also" He said

"Wow, how can we use this?" Yuki asks.

"Here, just tap your hands in this thing, and think who do you want to call" Lord Val explained. 

I touch it with my hand and think of Yuki. 

"Eh?" I said. I am surprise that I can see Yuki in this ball even though she's just beside me.

"Eh?" Yuki said. I know she's surprised too.

"Eh?" I said. I can also hear Yuki in this ball too. or maybe because she's just beside me?

"Eh?" Yuki said. 

"EEEEHHHH?" I said

"EEEHHHHH??" Yuki said.

"Hahaha they look like a fool" I hear Lord Val said. Both Yuki and I look at him. Lady Vivian elbowed him.

"Ehem. Anyway, so yeah, I bought it for you. so have fun to explore it!" Lord Val said. I took out the ball, same as Yuki too. then we roll it on the floor and play to it like a normal ball. I don't care what kind of tele tele thing it is. It still looks like a ball and the ball's use is to be played and roll in every area.

"WAAAHHH we have a new toy, princess" Yuki said.

"Right! We can see each other's faces in this new toy too!" I answered.
