Chapter - 91 [ Mysteries! ]

After Adam left them, the girls were having a hard time being calm. After all, a strong monster was watching over them. Still struggling a little, to ease the mood a little, Adriel asked the glaring Chimera,

"Umm.. excuse me.."

"Hm? What is it, human girl..?"

"May I ask you something..?"

"Yes."

Gulping a little, she continued, "If what you said is true, then, a few years ago when some of my kind came here, you were not trying to hurt them..?"

Tilting its massive head to side , it showed a face of confusion before it finally remembered something.

"Ah, you mean that incident 20 years ago..? If that's what you are asking, then the answer I have is different. Indeed, I wasn't trying to hurt them, but warn them."

"..."

Seeing her confused look, the Chimera explained. "You seemed to be confused. Let me explain.... Your people, they seems to have heard something about a treasure which can help them get stronger. So they came here to acquire it. When they were near my position, I intercepted them and asked what they want, to which they explained as such. But after their explanation, I understood that they are talking about using my master's life. So I warned them slightly. I never thought they would so scared though.."

Understanding their father and the others were trying to find a way to surpass their current level, and for that, they didn't hesitate to use others life, both Ruby and Adriel was feeling very disappointed. They were wondering if it was a good idea to explain to the Chimera that it was their fathers that came years ago. As they were having trouble how to continue, the whole castle in front of them began to shake violently.

"....! Master is Awakened..!" Exclaiming, the Chimera carried the two girls on its back and ran towards an empty space.

"What's happening..!?"

"Addy is still inside!"

As the two girls were screaming with worried faces, startling the Chimera and girls, Adam appeared out of thin Air and said,

"Sorry I am late. Everything will be fine, Ruby, Adriel."

Throwing away the confusion, the girls immediately jumped from the Chimera's back to his position and began searching for injuries by patting all over his body.

Smiling wryly at their flustered expressions, he asked, "What..? Do you girl's not trust me..?"

"Its not about the lack of trust, Addy you idiot!"

"That's right! Even if you are strong, that doesn't mean you should be reckless!"

He could only smile warmly at their scolding. Seeing this, the Chimera asked with a curious face, "Hmmm.... You truly are loved by them, aren't you..?"

Although they wanted to respond, the two girls could only look down, not being courageous enough to look into his eyes straight. Adam could see the blush that was spreading upto their ears and neck. He too felt a little embarrassed right now. So he only coughed slightly to feel better.

As they were battling against their embarrassment, the castle that stood like a statue moved making the sound of the whole tomb tremble.

But it stopped the next second as a creature with three dragon heads, pair of feathered wings, limbs of a giant lion, and a dragon's tail, moved its giant trio of head towards them. Staring at the Chimera and the girls for a second, its attention was changed to Adam.

As if scanning him for some kind of information, it stared at him for some minutes. Seeing this collosal creature was enough to make the two girls pass out. Although it wasn't excluding any kind of pressure, the natural air around it made anyone weaker, to become crazy. Catching the duo by telekinesis, Adam sighed before asking, "Can you stop that..? My friends are affected by your stature..."

As if obeying him, a blinding light covered the entire place before it presented a female figure with White hair and bombshell of a body.

She had three horns. Two of them which were brown in color sprouted from the temboral sides. The last one was white in color but was sprouted from the forehead. She had pointed ears and body of a perfect milf. Even though her eyes were closed, he could understand one thing. She seemed aloof and emotionless.

Opening her eyes, she stared at Adam as if wanting to see through everything about him. But unfortunately, her emotionless face changed with her visible shock as her eyes widened when she understood she can't appraise him. Then in an rough, but feminine voice, she asked in amusement,

"How peculiar... I never seen someone like you... Who are you..? No. It would be right to ask what are you...."

Responding to her with a questioning expression Adam asked,"Aren't you rude to your saviour..?"

"..."

Staying silent, she stared at him to continue. Sighing in defeat he said , "As you can see, I am a human."

"I know what kind of race you belong to. What I asked is about your presence... Its as if you are here, but at the same time you are not. I can see your soul. But it's endless at the same time empty. I don't think there exist something or someone close to you in terms of an anomaly of an existence in this world. So, tell me. What are you..?"

Blinking in surprise and confusion, Adam began to think. 'It amazing that she can deduce that my soul is different from other residents of this world. But, what does she meant by that stupid words..? I am here, but at the same time I am not..? I am endless, but empty as well..? Hmmm...I don't understand.'

"Even if you ask me that, I too do not have an answer. So, I'll have to apologize."

After nodding her head which surprised him a little, she stared at him for another few minutes with her emotionless face.

'I have never seen someone like him... I don't know why... But I feel like I want to know more about him... Alright.'

"Say...."

"Ah! My name's Adam Aves Aldians. Just call me Adam. What about you..?"

"I don't have a proper name, Adam. The creator didn't named us. Though we called each other by our numbers. I was called Second."

He nodded his head. Then she continued.

"So, Adam. I would like to ask you something..."

Showing visible confusion, he nodded. Then she asked, "How about we form a contract...?"

Blinking multiple times, he asked, "Why..? Its true that I saved you, but there is no need for a contract, right..?"

"I can see that you do not trust me that much. That's why, for the sake of our future battles against the apostles, I was thinking about deepening our bond of trust. What do you say..?"

He asked in a curious tone, "I am fine with it, but are you sure you want to be under someone weaker than you..?"

This time, she tilted her head and uttered a "hmm..?" before asking, "What do you mean... Ah, are you talking about the master servant contract..? If so, you don't have to worry. What I am using is not a master servant contract, but contract of mutual trust and companionship."

"Hm? There are more types of contracts..?"

She nodded and pointed her finger at the ground, which was followed by a golden magic circle. It had multiple centric circles and four small circles encircling the entire magic circle. On each circles, there was unknown letters as well as symbols of some sort.

On each of the small four circles, there was something that's close to images.

"This is the true contract circle. Now, stand at one end of the circle like me. Then repeat just like how I say."

Nodding his head, Adam stepped right into the outermost layer of circle.

"I, I am the Guardian Second of Mother Earth.... I hereby swear on my name and soul...that I will be a trustful companion to Adam..... !?"

He was about to repeat after her when the magic circle shone with a great light and one of the four small circles moved itself to the centre and aligned itself above the circle. She seemed astonished by something though.

"So that's how it is...." She said with a small smile. She then looked at Adam and nodded. Not understanding why she smiled, Adam responded with a nod of his own.

"I, I am Adam Aves Aldians.... I hereby swear on my name and soul... That I will be a trustful companion to Second."

As soon as his words were finished, the magic circle released a golden chain that appeared out of nowhere and tied the two tightly. But not feeling any animosity from them, he allowed them to tightly bind him. After a few seconds they disappeared like illusions.

Then startling him and shocking the nearby Chimera, Second suddenly kneeled with her one knee on the ground.

"What are you doing..? Aren't we in a companion or rather equal position..?" Adam asked with a confused voice.

"That's right, Master! You can't bow down like that to anyone!" The Chimera's scream was a bit too much as well.

"I am doing this because, he's my master. I will explain, Master. But, before that, may I ask if that's important..?" She asked while pointing towards his feet. Upon looking down, he saw that, his feet was a being covered by a golden light. Then he heard a hurried voice within his head.

« Adam! Run! If you don't escape to the open area, this whole place will be buried by what's that about to come! »

Feeling her concern, he nodded, which confused Second. He then said, "I will explain and ask everything later. For now, can you carry the girls and leave this place..? I think, I am about to explode. So I will leave first!"

Saying so, he opened a gate and passed through it. Second and her servant carried the girls and followed him. As soon as they left, the gate closed.....
