A chair was heard skirting back loudly as a hoot and holler was yelled out.

"AWW YEAH! HE-" Bohdi started before Mrs. Sato put the kybosh on that.

 "QUIET MR. HAMADA!"

"My bad Mrs. Sato!" Bodhi apologized swiftly before he showed his paper to Nakano who was sitting in front of him, beaming proudly at his score. Which lasted all of two seconds as she presented her sheet to him.

The smile on her face exuded smugness and an aura superiority rolled off her in waves. Bodhi who had just been glad to of passed Japanese found himself a little depressed. She had beat his total scores by more than 50!

"Tch- There's no need to rub it in. I just wanted to show you I passed," Bodhi told her.

"Oh, I know, just wanted to let you know what I got. Quite impressive, isn't it?" She replied, hubris laced through her tone.

"Yeah, I see it too. You got three wrong," Bodhi jested back with a smirk.

Hana who heard this stumbled for a moment and a tick mark grew on her forehead.

"Yeah? That's rich coming from someone who got more than 60 wrong!"

 "Oh, yah? Well-"

Mrs. Sato who had just finished handing out the score sheets noticed the verbal spat happening at the back of the classroom. Although she had only been this class's homeroom teacher for barely 4 months, they had always behaved for the most part. Besides that of Kunimi, who often slept through most lectures or announcements she made to the class. So, it came as a surprise as her top student both in class and first year was in a clash of words with the transfer student who had been here only a month.

"Mrs. Nakano! Mr. Hamada! Quiet down the both of you!" Mrs. Sato yelled, silencing the two youths.

 ""Sorry Mrs. Sato.""

With everybody silent again, Mrs. Sato continued on with all of her announcements, it being Friday and a half day on top of that, meant she just wanted to get right on out of here. Luckily, she didn't have any students needing supplementary lessons, so she too could go home early.

"…That's it, everybody. Enjoy the rest of your day and the weekend. And just a reminder that the new semester starts Monday," Mrs. Sato finished.

And just like that all the students left the classroom to go and do whatever they wanted. Most would go home or hang out with friends and go to the shopping district, but some had to check-in with clubs that were starting up again that afternoon.

That was the case for the two members of the volleyball club in Class 1-2.

"Well guess that's that Nakano. See you on Monday! Aki! Wake up, let's get to the meeting," Bodhi said, grabbing his bag and collecting his fellow teammate.

"Alright, bye Hamada," Hana said.

"…Ugh…just let me sleep Bodhi. I'm too tired for this," Akira whined as he was dragged away.

"Nope! Iwaizumi said he be on my ass if you were late again and I sure as shit don't want that," Bodhi said matter of factly.

"…no…"

"Too bad!"

Hana watched on as the two boys left. She was now the only one left in the classroom. She too had plans with friends that she made the week before exams. They were all going to go to the karaoke place in the shopping district, they even booked a room. So it made it all the more harder when she had to tell them she wasn't going to be there.

Opening her phone, she texted the group chat of all her friends and told them the news.

GC: Four + Six and Giggles

NakaYES: Sorry girls but I won't be coming to Karaoke. Something came up :'(.

She closed her phone before the messages rolled in. There was no doubt she would have to make it up to her girlfriends. But the paper she currently held, took precedent above all else at the moment.

So, with her bag around her shoulder, Hana made her way out of the classroom and towards the gym complex, passing by a few other students on the way. As she came up to the door yelling came from the other side.

 "DAMN DYE-JOB!"

 "AUSSIE GAIJIN!"

"…Bodhi?" Hana muttered to herself before she was tapped on the back.

"Excuse me miss. Can I pass by you?" A voice came from behind her scaring her a little bit as she wasn't expecting it.

"O-o-oh, yes. My bad," Hana replied, getting out of his way.

"Thank you…NOW MAD-DOG SHUT IT AND BADHI LET GO OF HIM!" Iwaizumi said kindly before slamming open the gym door and yelling himself.

Hana who looked inside when the older boy opened the door, currently saw what was transpiring and she couldn't help but deadpan.

Bodhi had somehow in the span of five minutes since leaving the class, got into a spat with an upperclassman, lose a shoe, and was currently holding said upperclassmen in a headlock, threatening to 'buzz it all off'.

Did Hana really want to join this club?

 …

 Really really want to?

 …

With a sigh, she made herself known.

Walking into the gymnasium, she saw the rest of the team all in their uniforms still waiting for the coaches to show up. After all, this was only a meeting and not a practice.

"U-u-um hello? I was wondering where-" she began before she was cut off by Bodhi.

"Nakano? What are you doing here mate?" Bodhi said, rubbing his head which now sported a big bump on it.

"Well, I was-" she began again before she was interrupted once more by a voice behind her. "Oh, who's interrupting me now!"

"That would be me," Coach Irihata said from behind the girl who somehow found her way into the gym.

Bodhi who had seen who was behind her, couldn't help but snicker at how she just yelled at the coach. Hana who heard him, whirled back around and began to take off her shoe to throw at the boy, but stopped as she remembered who was behind her.

"Hehe." She said, rubbing the back of her head sheepishly. "I was hoping to give you this," bringing out a piece of paper and trying to hand it to the coach, only to be turned away.

"I'm sorry but I won't be accepting that. Just ask him yourself. Grow a spine…" Coach Irihata said, mumbling that last part to himself. This had happened so many times before, girls from all the years tried to get close to Oikawa and he just assumed she was no different. The paper being folded meant she wanted him to give Oikawa their number.

Seriously what possessed these girls to ask him to be a middleman?

"Oh? Are you not the coach?" Hana said confused. She thought he was due to what he was wearing and his apparent age.

"Yes, I am, but the one you're looking for is over there," he replied easily pointing towards Oikawa, it became an automatic response at this point.

"Oh, thank you," she said bowing and began to walk over towards the boy.

"This is my a-" Hana said, before being cut off.

"Sorry but I have a girlfriend now, I can however point you the direction of some very handsome friends of mine," Oikawa said with a closed eye smile.

"…The fuck are you talking about!?" Hana who had been told that the coach would accept her club application form was baffled as the conversation somehow developed into this boy saying he had a girlfriend for whatever reason and was now trying to set her up with his friends?

What kind of club was this!?

"Oh, good grief, must I say it again?" Oikawa said exasperated. They always kept trying to get his attention and at this point he was starting to get fed up with it all.

"Nakano don't worry about it. Just give me your number," Bodhi said casually. Grabbing the piece of paper out of her hands.

"Wait no! I need that!" She said, grabbing it back. "I don't know what the hell is going on with this shtick but it's getting old! Who the hell is the coach!"

"Him," Bodhi replied, pointing towards Coach Irihata.

"Okay, so I had it right the first time!" she growled out. "Here I hope you accept this."

Coach Irihata was starting to get irritated. This girl just would not take a hint, could she? "Miss, I'm sorry but I will not be accepting that piece of paper. If Oikawa said no, then I can't do much else. Have a good rest of your day. Boys gather round!"

Hana just stood there absolutely baffled.

Why the hell would a player decide whether or not she could be a manager for the team!?

Hana who was more than pissed at this point, voiced her opinion.

"Why the hell does he have a say!? All I want is to become your team's manager!" Hana screamed out. Drawing all eyes in the gym to her.

As one the team responded with a glorious,

""Huh?""

"You're not here to give Oikawa your number?" Coach Irihata questioned. That sure as hell would be a first.

"Yes! He isn't even that attractive. I recently helped tutored one of your players and I admired his dedication to the sport and was wondering what I could do to help. And since my club was disbanding, I decided to take a chance and apply to become the team's manager. My name is Hana Nakano, class 1-2 and I hope you'll accept," Hana stated, unfolding the piece of paper, revealing it to be a club application form.

The coach could only stare back at the paper. The club had never had a manager since Oikawa joined the team. He had been such a distraction that they never did their job properly and proved to be more of a hindrance than anything. This girl who had just declared Oikawa to not be 'that attractive' was the one he had been looking for! Finally, he could have a proper team manager, one that was surely fairly competent seeing as how she had tutored one of his players.

"Yes of course! Of course, you can become a manager!" he said all too quickly. "I'll talk to you more about it afterward and what is expected of you. If you want you can listen in to the meeting and begin your work on Monday,"

Hana was all too happy to finally have this whole situation be over and done with. She also accepted the offer to listen in to the meeting, no better time than the present to begin her duties.

"Alright gentlemen, give a warm welcome to our new manager Hana Nakano,"

""Hello, Miss Manager! Thank you!!""

"Okay gentlemen, I've received notice about all of your test scores, and I am pleased to inform you all that nobody failed, and everybody will be coming to the first training camp tomorrow," and cheer rang through the team, cutting the coach off briefly. "Yes yes, I'm glad you can all come too. Now onto said training camp. This first one will run only tomorrow and Sunday, the main one will take place during summer break. Tomorrow I expect all of you to be here bright and early. 6 AM kind of early. It'll take roughly five hours to drive to Tokyo and this being our first time practicing and meeting most of these teams, punctuality is important. Nobody better be late. Or I will leave you behind."

""YESSIR!""

"Good. Now gentlemen enjoy the rest of your day off. Miss Nakano if you would follow me," Coach said, dismissing his team.

"Okay sir," Hana said, following him to his office.

~Break~

"Nakano! You joined the club!? That's awesome!" Bodhi cheered happily.

He had been waiting for her conversation with the coach to finish to congratulate her.

"Yeah, I did. You said you wanted to hang out more, didn't want to disappoint you and all that," Hana jeered.

Bodhi chuckled at her antics. "Starting Monday, eh? Bummer you won't be able to come with us tomorrow,"

"Oh, I will. I convinced the coach it would only help me in my duties if I got to know everybody sooner," Hana told Bodhi, her reasoning flawless.

"…You just wanted to go to Tokyo, didn't you?" Bodhi said, seeing straight through her.

 "…Of course not!"

 "Sure, Nakano…Sure."

Author Note:

This whole chapter wasn't meant to be a thing. I planned on Hana joining after the training camp but found myself writing this and just went with it. Can't say I didn't like how it turned out. and it came before my Monday/Tuesday deadline. Not that there won't be a new chapter on those days.

Funny how it all worked out.

Also, the funny situation I came up with on the fly but I found it not that hard to believe? Like surely Oikawa would have been a problem in trying to get the team a manager.

Damn, chick magnet that guy.

Anyhow, enjoy the weekend and expect the next one soon!
