An Invasion (Part 3)

The whole world was currently in panic following the ensuing events, thousands of both commoners and hunters had died, and many more injured, but just as you hammer a blade to make it sharper and more malleable, hunters all around the world had been able to increase in ranks, the cores from the swarms of monsters were abundant enough to springboard thousands to A-RANK, hundreds to S-RANK, tens to S+ RANK, few to SS-RANK, and enough to propel four nationwide hunters into the legendary L-RANK.

The aliens didn't know this, but they had increased the strength of their enemies by Tenfold.

A change that the humans would be thankful for in the near future.

With a show of shining yellow particules, a dark blue creature appeared out of thin air in the capital of city c, he looked around and he frowned heavily at what he saw.

He could see hunters in the distance with their equipment drenched in monster blood as they sat down to take a breather, all around them were corpses and carcasses of monsters and hunters.

Hunters and civilians had died in droves all around the world because of monster invasion, building had been destroyed, cities had been completely razed to ground.

The hunters were sitting down while letting out heavy breaths while some were busy absorbing monster cores to increase in rank, they had been fighting for an unknown amount of time, many of their comrades had died in battle while some had became handicapped.

The healing potions that hunters used could only heal physical injuries, which was why the hunters were able to stand there ground, but continuous fighting had been the main cause of death to most hunters because of mental fatigue that built up, which resulted in causing them to make sluggish moves in the heat of battle, which inevitably caused their deaths, while some passed out from overworking their bodies, or their bodies had become adaptative to the potions making them lose their effects.

Who would have thought? That was only the first phase of their plan...!

On a huge black colored ship bulit like a nautiloid shell-like shape, a creature with an octopus like head, three eyes, two holes which served as ears and four tentacles attached to it's mouth is sitting down on a futuristic looking chair in front of a command center with multiple holographic screens.

Using it to oversee the current situation on other planets, while checking for any irregularities, after noting that things were going in the direction their lord had predicted and better, although faster than they had expected, he nodded while praising the greatness of his lord, while also keeping in mind the probability of failure.

Well if it doesn't work then, they'll just have to use "that" he thought as he looked to the screens.

"Commence phase 2" he said telepathically, which immediately got transmitted to all those involved.

Other aliens immediately began to move, clad in a tight skinned space suit, taking with them futuristic looking guns and lining batches before going into smaller ships at the side of the ship.

ZOOM

The smaller ships moved at high speeds heading towards their destination at their lords order to eliminate the existing threat as soon as possible.

The mothership also began to lift-off, getting into position for the purging of an entire planet that opposes their goals.

Tens of jet-sized spaceships were descending into earths atmosphere at breakneck speeds, with wriggling tentacles in front and the back built to look like a nautiloid shell, it was practically screaming alien.

Hunters around the world had begun to dish out all kinds of flashy skills trying to destroy as many as possible before they could land, a dark blue creature in particular could be seen in city c on one such ship causing it to disintegrate before jumping on to another.

He had suddenly appeared in the skies before catching onto the one of the alien spaceships and caused it to disintegrate before jumping on to another and another.

These aliens didn't understand what was happening until it was too late, they had put too much pride in their ships defenses, by the time they took note of what was wrong, half of the ship would have disintegrated along with its crew, then claws began to shred the spaceship, leaving no chance for the ship to keep flying.

If a member of such a ship managed to survive, only death would await them as half of the ship would have be disintegrated and shredded, gravity would take its course by pulling it down, causing it to smash into the ground and with its built-up up momentum, inevitably causing all the aliens to die when the ship blows up.

All around, ships were crashing and busting into flames, though a few managed to land, they where immediately bombarded with skills from hunters.

It looked like scene from a vin diesel movie, with everything exploding and flashy skills flying around in city c, and like moths to flames, other alienship in the nearby cities rushed to eliminate whatever was causing such harm to their brethren.

Of course that wasn't all, hunters were also taking serious hits from the surviving invaders, they were clad in tight fitting black clothing, equipped with plasma guns and had octopus like heads with tentacles attached to it, the plasma guns were particularly deadly as they shot concentrated blue beams and sent out shockwaves from there minds, shattering skulls and decimating hunters below C-rank with ease.

With the turn of events that elevated thousands to A-RANK and even more to B-RANK.

The aliens found themselves in a bind as the threat level of the hunters were inconsistent with their knowledge.

WHOOO HOOO!!!

In the sky's above city c, a dark blue creature shouts feeling exhilarated as jumps from spaceship to spaceship in the sky feeling the breeze while avoiding tentacles trying hold him down, causing them to disintegrate rapidly, while using pincers or claws to rip with alien reinforcements from nearby cities hot on his tail, trying to eliminate him.

They were not at all powerful as the planetary core had hypothesised, although they weren't actually that weak, they were levels below what they had expected, but this brought about other questions and uncertainties

How were they able to put the monsters under their control? what else did they still have up there sleeves and lastly, what about the masterminds and the big guns?

Sure, the forces that had arrived weren't that weak when compared to hunters, but he knew after facing all those SS-rank monster bosses.

"These guys are too weak to do that"

Whoever was controlling them had not yet come over to play

OR

A terrifying thought sprouted in his mind;

" There's someone else involved" at the end of it all, it only an hypothesis, nothing was certain, He could only deal with the problem in front of him, as he hopes for the best.

Chaos is rampant as Humans and aliens clash, with none of them having the slightest inkling as to what this event shall bring about in the near future.

The starting phases of the rise of an entity soon to be known to all.
