An Invasion (Part 1)

On a dark and gloomy planet within the vast galaxy lies a mothership, this mothership was huge and built with an outline that'll scare most kids; it had tentacles outstretching in front and the deck built to look like the shell of a nautiloid, all covered with a layer of black.

On a particular part of this ship is a secluded chamber devoid of light, in it are two beings conversing;

One with an octopus-like head, two eyes with a mouth surrounded by six tentacles, and two holes on both sides of its head, and the other; a brain floating in a capsule filled with green liquid with ten tentacles attached to it, and tiny tadpoles running around it.

'My lord, all preparations are in place, we await your approval to commence the operation; said the octopus man telepathically to the brain in the capsule

'What about "that"? ; asked the brain

'It is being set up as we speak, but my lord, are you sure about this?; asked the octopus

'We have no choice, this galaxy contains many primitive lifeforms whose bodies are ripe for our goal'

'it's all or nothing at this point, we can only hope for the best

'Well said my lord, said the octopus man

'Begin the siege, and lay waste to that planet.

~POV SHIFT~

[It's time]

With a glow of yellow light, I was teleported, and I found myself.....falling...."

Shit! Shit! Shit!

I closed my eyes while cursing repeatedly, while trying to see if I could hold on to something, but to no avail.

I was falling and I was falling fast! I could feel ground getting closer, I could hear my heartbeat rising, thinking I was gonna die

[ Open your eyes]

A voice pulled me back to my senses, and I opened my eyes instinctively, only to look down and see tiny figures of monsters of different sizes pouring out from a gate.

At this moment, my fear faded away and a devilish smile replaced it, I put my hand and legs together and began diving headfirst like a missile and then;

BOOOM!!!

Without warning, the monsters were hit with a shockwave that caused a crater to form in the sand, monsters were blown away while some were only disoriented, unable to make heads or tails of what just occurred.

Some immediately got back up, trying to spot the enemy.

How had they not sensed anything? that was what they were all thinking,

They couldn't see anything because the impact had made a smokescreen made of dust in its wake, so they had to make use of their senses, but....nothing!

They couldn't sense the enemy at all, it was like he just disappeared, this only threw them into an even more confused state.

They began wondering what happened when they felt something strange, monsters that their senses picked up were.....disappearing?

While they were still confused, Zephyr had begun moving with great speeds towards the gate, while giving a quick death to the monsters in his path by causing them to disintegrate rapidly or just enough for them to die.

The planetary core had told him the plan, he was to forcefully close the gates as fast as possible as he did before on the island, as that was the only way they could win.

He could feel himself getting stronger as he absorbed more particles, although he wasn't exactly sure how, the feeling was there.

The monsters were pouring out the gates continuously, so advancing wasn't easy, even as they disintegrated they kept relentlessly attacking me trying to pin me down, and it was beginning to work, they were piling themselves on me.

I had to think fast, my situation was getting worse, then It hit me;

I changed my fists into pincers, using them to well "pinch" them, and began dicing them into two pieces.

The monsters pilling on him had not expected this sudden maneuver, so he was able to push away the pile of monsters onto the monsters coming out of the gate, which caused the monsters pouring out to stop for a few seconds, but that was enough.

I lunged at the gate immediately the opportunity showed itself while changing my hands back to it's normal form and as I touched it, it began to fluctuate and then;

DOM!

The gate was sealed, with the monsters about to come out had their bodies severed, but it was not time to celebrate.

This was only one gate out of many, the war had only just begun.

With a bright yellow light, I was teleported again, they were still much to do.

~POV SHIFT~

Man, how are they so many of them? they just keep coming!

It was only yesterday hunters worldwide received a message to prepare for an invasion, the news that made citizens and hunters around the world plunge into panic and despair, but I was different, I was even looking forward to it as a challenge.

I had grown arrogant because I'm Andrew stein, one of the most powerful men in the world, one of the four SS rank hunters in the world.

After waiting for three hours on standby for the invasion, gates began to form around the world, and monsters of different types began to pour out, I was fighting with vigor at first but their numbers didn't seem to be reduced, but there were culling our numbers greatly.

I had begun to lose hope, but I had to stay strong, too many people were counting on me, I couldn't just give up, while I was trying to think of what to do, a message was sent to our interface, but it wasn't what I expected.

MOVE BACK!: was all it said

I became confused, I couldn't understand why we were told to move back at this critical juncture, but it had informed us of the Incoming invasion, there was no reason for the same thing to kill us, he could most likely have done so if he wielded, so I shouted at the top of my voice to all nearby hunters.

MOVE BACK!

The hunters could not understand why said that, but they knew I had to have a good reason for telling them to do so, so they pulled back immediately while watching each other back and not a moment too soon;

BOOM!!

I was pushed back a few meters by something that even I didn't sense, the same went for everything else, was it the hunters? or was it the monsters? they were all blown away by the sheer impact of whatever it was.

A crater had formed in the distance with the body of a monster mashed into it.

it had landed on top of a monster, I could see a dark blue creature running forward while turning every monster in its way to...dust?

I couldn't make out what was happening to the monsters, but it wasn't in anyway pretty, they were dissipating or should I say, dissolving whenever they were in the midst of that creature.

It just kept running through the monsters like a bull who saw a red flag before stopping right in front of the gate, and he stretched his hand out and.....closed it...."

A minute after a glow of bright yellow shined on the surroundings around it before he vanished again.

"What in the..." I couldn't help but find myself suprised

-----------

I was falling again, seems like to planetary core didn't want any unnecessary deaths, so it's teleporting me high into the sky to by time, before sending a message to the hunters on the ground to move before I could land in their midst with a bang.

I have to say, falling from the sky is became pretty awesome once I got the hang of it, like always;

BOOM!

I kept on repeating the strategy all the while gaining new structures I could transform into.
