Chapter 5: The Future Rivals

"Where do i find the class for void elementalists?" Abysmu asked the middle-aged man who is also the librarian.

The librarian was reading book and he glanced at Abysmu for a moment before he continued reading the book in his hands.

"Uhm hello? Can you hear me mister?" Abysmu asked again, prompting the librarian to close the book he was reading.

"I didn't answer did I? So it means that I don't the answer for your question. Ask the teachers patrolling the campus grounds, maybe they know. Now shoo, go away and stop disturbing me," the librarian angrily said as he shooed Abysmu to go away.

'Even the librarian didn't know where my classes are? I really have no choice but to ask the teachers walking around then,' Abysmu thought as he stepped out of the library and went to search for a teacher.

The librarian who was reading a book then glanced towards the exit of the library while saying, "First is the light element and then a void element? Our school will surely gonna this year's competition. If those kids learn how to use their elements, our school will be unstoppable."

In the hallways of a university, a handsome teen was walking while looking around. After searching and walking inside the university's hallways for almost 10 minutes, Abysmu finally found a teacher. The teacher was a middle-aged woman who wears a green robe that has a wind insignia on the back. She was average looking and holds a wooden staff in her hand.

Abysmu approached the female wind elementalist and asked, "Excuse me maam, do you know where the classes of a void elementalist are held?"

"Void elementalist? You're a void elementalist? Good for you kid but unfortunately, i don't know where it is held. Why don't you try asking the principal or the guide the guided you to your dorm. Good luck kid! Be strong enough to represent our school!" the female wind elementalist said as she balled up a fist and cheered Abysmu, making Abysmu smile while he walked away. And then he turned back.

" Uhm teacher? Where is the principal's office? I don't know where it is located, "Abysmu said while scratching his head.

" Can you see the tallest building there? That's the teacher's office and the principal's office is on the topmost floor of that building. Just ask help when you see a teacher there. Get going now kid, you don't want to be late for any longer if you want to be strong, " the female wind elementalist said as she pointed at tall medieval tower in the distance.

" Thanks teacher, I'll get going now, " Abysmu said as he ran towards the tower.

After a few minutes of running, Abysmu arrived at a magnificent tower that was surrounded by special mechanisms that produces a barrier like thingy around the tower, protecting it. Abysmu then tried to enter the barrier but it didn't let him. Abysmu hoped and waited for a teacher to pass by for him to enter the tower.

William Weteski, the water elementalist guide, was walking down the stairs inside the tower. He just finished guiding the light elementalist kid to the principal when he noticed another kid outside the tower.

"Light elementalist is first, what's next? A void elementalist?" William asked himself as he chuckled and went outside the tower, only to recognize the kid that was waiting outside.

"Good morning mister guide, can you help me enter the tower?" Abysmu said while smiling.

'Damn it! I jinxed myself,' William thought as he went outside the barrier and grabbed Abysmu's wrist. William then crossed the barrier with Abysmu and he let go of Abysmu's wrist.

" You can go to the principal's office by walking upstairs. I have class to attend so you could go up by yourself. Good luck kiddo!" William said as he once again stepped out the barrier and walked towards a hall in the distance.

'Mission accomplished. Now let's go up! I can't wait to learn how to control my void element!' Abysmu thought as he went upstairs.

After going upstairs for a few minutes, Abysmu arrived at a door of a room in the top of tower. The door has a sign hanging that says, "Principal' s Office". Abysmu knocked on the door and after hearing the cue to enter, Abysmu entered the room and was surprised by the people inside it.

The principal's office was just like an original office. The desk of the principal, the couches in front of it. Then the shelves of book behind the principal. There are also a few clothing stands that was standing beside the bookshelves. Different outfits was hanging on each clothing stand.

Abysmu then saw the white haired boy sitting in a couch and then the middle-aged man that destroyed the examination hall last time after he finished observing the room. Abysmu was surprised that the middle-aged man was the principal of their university. He was also surprised as he didn't think that the white haired boy was also like him, an ultra rare elementalist.

"Good morning principal. My name is Abysmu Voidante and I wish to know where can i attend classes for my void element lessons," Abysmu said as bowed for a moment and stood upright again.

"I still didn't introduce myself right?" the principal asked the white haired boy who was sitting on the couch, prompting him to shake his head.

"My name is Thorfinn Thunderigo and I'm the principal of this school as well as a thunder elementalist. They also call me Thunder God's Incarnation. Nice meeting you both, Abysmu and Kaiser," Thorfinn said as he stood up and greeted the two dumbstruck teens.

Kaiser, the white haired boy, first said as he stood abruptly," You're the one they call the Thunder God's Incarnation!? My father always talk about you principal! Do you know someone that has the name of Noah Lightingale?"

"Of course, he's a former classmate of mine. Is Blinding Light your father?"

"Yes principal. He always talked about your and his exploits as teenagers. I can't believe that I met a best friend of my father!" Kaiser excitedly said.

Then a sudden voice interrupt Thorfinn and Kaiser who was talking, "You're the principal!? Seriously!?"

Abysmu was surprised as fxck as he didn't expect that the middle-aged man who interrupted his evaluation was the principal of their university. The middle-aged man who was supposed to be the principal was wearing a peasant' s clothing. The principal was wearing a tunic, leggings and a pair of leather boots. The principal was more of a middle-aged man than a principal based on his clothes.

"Ah,the kid with the void element. Nice to meet you. Sorry for interrupting your evaluation last time. It's been many years since we have a void elementalist in our university so I got a little to excited," Thorfinn said as he scratched his head, acting like a normal middle-aged person and not a proper principal.

Kaiser then met the gaze of Abysmu. Abysmu scrutinized the guy in front of him. The guy was wearing a noble clothing that was all white and was embroidered by gold and other jewelries. The guy was tall, handsome, fair skinned and skinny. His hair was white and his eyes was golden.

After Kaiser and Abysmu met each other gazes, you can see the electricity when their gazes met. Light and Void was opposite of each other so it was normal for them to have some disagreements and differences.

"Now now kids, don't fight here. This is not a place to fight and most importantly, do you know how to fight? Why don't you both introduce yourselves and be friends? Come on,"Thorfinn said while smiling.

" My name is Abysmu Voidante. What's yours kid? " Abysmu said while sticking his hand out for a handshake and gritting his teeth.

" My name is Kaiser Lightingale. Nice meeting you Abysmu? "Kaiser responded with gritted teeth as he shook Abysmu's hands, making him fall to the ground with his knees.

"Oh, sorry Kaiser. I used too much strength for a fragile kid like you. I apologize for my lack of control," Abysmu said while smiling in the outside but laughing hysterically in the inside while thinking, 'Serves you right you bxtch! How dare you ignore my help last time! You can't ignore the strongest kid in this university!'

'Damn this peasant kid is strong,' Kaiser inwardly thought as he got up and stood upright while saying, "It's okay Abysmu. Kids like you are savages and don't know how to control their strength so I understand you. Your apology is accepted."

'Damn this Kaiser kid!' Abysmu thought while enduring the urge to punch Kaiser's face.

'Counterattack at its finest kiddo,' Kaiser thought as he grinned on the outside.

'These kids will gonna bring troubles. I'm sure of it. But I hope they will become rivals instead of enemies. Rivals can help you improve yourself but enemies will kill you. I really hope that we will win the year' s competition,' Thorfinn inwardly thought as he observed the two bickering students in front of him.

' It's really nice to be young again,' Thorfinn thought once again, making him smile as he thought how these youths will live their lives,'Will they become hardworking just to become powerful? Will they become schemers that deceives people? Or will they become cold blooded elementalists that massacres everything in their way? '
