This would be the last time.
The last day that Rache spent here.
How odd.
She didn't have any feelings about this place when she arrived.
No, that wasn't true.
She'd felt dread. Dread and fear at the idea of being cooped up in a palace alongside Donncahd with no escape for a week.
But in the end, Donncahd himself hadn't wanted to spend much time around her.
And so...
She'd spent far more time with the servants than with him.
And...
She stared out the window.
It was sunny today.
She could see the sunlight sparkling off the water in the pond, in the garden below the window.
A soft knock came on the bedroom door. Ela opened the door quietly and stepped into the room. She was holding a tray of food and tea.
"Good morning, Your Highness."
"Good morning, Ela."
The handmaid smiled and placed the tray on a table.
"I brought you some breakfast." She said.
