Kido

The grey kitten snapped out of his trance when Zhu Shin jumped down in front of him.

"Kid."

"W-Who are you!?"

"My name's Zhu Shin. I saw everything that happened. If you follow me, i'll take care of you from now on."

"Why..."

"I just wanted to be considerate, but if you don't want to..."

Zhu Shin got up and turned around seemingly ready to leave. Then the grey kitten shouted and a small smirk appeared Zhu Shin's face.

"W-Wait!"

"Oh~? change your mind?"

"Yeah! I'll follow you!"

"Then get up~ we're getting food."

Zhu Shin saw a couple places that were still open and cooking food. He had planned to steal some for dinner. He got up and signaled for the kitten to follow. Though the little guy still seemed a little suspicious of him.

Since he was a kitten Zhu Shin had to grab him by the back of his neck and jump from roof to roof if he wanted to get there in time. Soon, they arrived at a shop that sold some sort of bun. It was brightly lit with lanterns and steam from pots to steam the buns.

He put the kitten down and told him that he was going to steal.

"What! That's not right! You shouldn't steal!"

"Then, I'll steal some for me and you get none so you won't be stealing."

After Zhu Shin said that, the kitten looked down with a dark expression. He was indeed hungry, but his owner told him never to steal.

"But! My owner-"

"You don't have an owner anymore, you're a stray."

Ignoring the kid that tried to find how to argue with him, Zhu Shin jumped into the shop when no one could see him and took two steamed buns. Then Zhu Shin swiftly grabbed the kitten and ran into the darkness.

He laid down the steamed buns and ate one of them.

"Aren't you gonna eat?"

"No, you stole that."

The kitten seemed determined not to eat something stolen. The kid had a good sense of justice, or maybe it was pride.

"Just eat."

Zhu Shin pushed the kids face into the steamed bun.

"HOOOTTTT!!!! Why did you do that!?"

"You need to eat."

He waited for the cat to eat while thinking of what to do in the future. I guess if I start an organization, I'd have to have something to symbolize it.... Then he noticed his bow. That was it! the bow could symbolize it.

Zhu Shin told the kid to wait and don't leave until he came back. Zhu Shin had left to go and find a ribbon to tie around the kid. Soon he brought back a red ribbon he took from a clothe store and tied a bow around his neck.

"And...there."

He tied the bow similar to how his was tied. The kitten looked adorable with the small bow on his neck. And it was cute the way he admired it.

"What's this?"

hahah~

"It's a symbol for us. A cat that has a red or purple bow like mine will be our organization."

After having to explain what an organization was, they fell asleep on a roof of some house. Zhu Shin planned to wake up at noon again, but instead woke up early to a grey kitten almost falling off the roof.

"Hey! What do you think you're doing!"

The kid saw how Zhu Shin jumped up and down the roofs without making a sound or even being slightly injured, so he secretly wanted to be like him.

"Alright kid do you have a name?"

"no.."

"Then from now on your name is Kido!"

Kido's eyes started to sparkle and he repeated his name silently over and over. Although, Zhu Shin just didn't know what to refer him as so he chose an easy name.

"Let's have you explore and get familiar with the outside."

"Yes!"

Looking even more closely at the place while they walked on the street, Zhu Shin caught a lot of people's attention, everyone that saw him were like in a trance. Everybody saw him charming in some way. Not even other pets were excused from his charm.

After walking away, people behind him would start ranking about how beautiful he was and how majestic he looked. News spread fast around them capital, so by the time they explored most of it, almost everyone in the capital knew about the so called majestical cat roaming the streets.

The whole capital was in an uproar about how the cat entranced them without even having to do anything. Soon, the rumors about a mejestical cat reached the ears of the emperor and princes that were in charge of affairs in the capital.

Zhu Shin didn't know if it was just his imagination, but he felt that Kido and him had gotten a little closer while exploring. Of course, it wasn't his imagination, as Kido started to admire Zhu Shin even more.

He had been walking all day long and really wanted to sleep, but, of course Kido still wanted run around. Zhu Shin was too tired to care so he let Kido run off since he wouldn't get lost, and just warned him not to get too far. Then Zhu Shin dozed off.

'Yaay!'

'Zhu Shin let me adventure on my own!'

Kido was walking happily along the stone road. However his happiness soon turned to fear when he heard many cries from other cats heading his way.

Soon, a large stampede of cats came from around the corner of a shop. All types of cats, from large cats to small kittens like himself, they ran fast screaming something to all the other cats as ahead of them.

"EVERYONE RUN!! A HUNTER IS HERE!!!"

"THEY BROUGHT A LARGE WOLF DOG!!!"

"RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!

'huh?'

Kido looked forward and saw around huge dog that resembled a german sheperd but with wolf-like aspects about it here and there. It was chasing after them while bearing it's teeth and barking loudly.

"A-aaaaa!!!!!!!!"

Since Kido was a kitten and a normal cat, he couldn't fight back and definitely couldn't evade being spotted and hide. Kido had no choice but to follow the group of cats and keep running.

Soon enough every single cat that ran with the horde of other cats reached a dead end and normal cats couldn't jump high enough. Every single cat faced faced the dog in fear. They couldn't do anything but wait for their deaths. Being caught by a hunter was the worst a cat could encounter.

Zhu Shin was abruptly awoken from his sleep because of the screams and yells of cats about a hunter. He decided to check it out himself to see what was happening to cause such a commotion to all cats. From what he knew the cats here were more timid and peaceful.

He finally got up and walked around. The more he walked there weren't any cats sitting on boxes or trees and there was an overwhelming sense of fear gathered in one direction.

'Hmm...'

There were buildings creating some sort of dead end. As he got closer he noticed the fear he sensed got stronger. Walls and houses were no problem for him to all jump over since his highest jump was about tens of meters high if he really tried.

Easily jumping over the building, Zhu Shin walked to the other side, and saw tens of cats of all ages, huddled up in fear. He then saw the large wolf like german sheperd. He watched for a while until he noticed a certain grey kitten with a red bow around his neck.

'KITO!?'
