chapter 22

The big day finally arrived, Izuku, Toga and Ochako headed to U.A. that morning, the entrance filling with all kinds of students, students that had mutation quirks, other 'normal' looking ones too.

After taking a few steps insides, Izuku noticed a familiar blonde haired male, quickening his steps he reaches to him, "Kacchan!" Izuku called out, making the blonde stop and look back.

Toga and Ochako quickly reached them, not needing to quicken their steps, "You are late Deku. I waited 15 minutes already, I was heading in now." Bakugo growled.

Izuku gave him a quick smile, "Sorry, had to prepare the cafe before coming."

Ochako pocked her head in front of the boys, a smile and confidence in her face, "Lets give our best!" She calls out, "We 4 will be the best heroes in the school!"

Izuku flinched, and Toga heartily laughed, Bakugo ignoring the endeavor, only responding with, "Izuku and Toga won't go to the hero course."

Ochako's features morphed to ones of anger, after hearing the blonde's statement, "Only because Izuku is quirkless doesn't mean that he can't get in!" Ochako fought back.

"But I matriculated myself in the General Ed." Izuku bluntly states, "I won't be a hero."

"And I will be with Izu!" Toga chimed in, wrapping one of her arms around his neck, "We will always be together!"

"Aren't you a year older?" Ochako questions.

"I didn't go to High school yet. So this is my first year."

After finishing her phrase, they arrive at a makeshift balcony, where they asked where they need to head respectively, to their surprise they will go to the same place, only Toga ending at the room next door.

The first test was a written one, where Izuku noticed it being somewhat resembling an IQ test. He wrote his answers and waited for the time to end, using that time to revise the answers he has written.

Bakugo easily cleared the written portion too, thanks to the constant lessons with Izuku it showed their results as he completed his problems without much trouble, same could be said to Toga, just having some problems in Maths.

Ochako was not fairing as well as the other three, but compared with everyone else, she was doing great.

Bakugo and Ochako didn't recognize the teachers overseeing the exams, well, Ochako did know the heroes, but didn't know they were regulars at the cafe.

The written portion off the exams was finally over, and the four of them headed to the practical portion, only those of the General Education and Hero Course were going to do the physical part, Support Course would have a pratical where they would built something from materials provided, and the Business Course would give a presentation on a pre-selected object.

General Education needed at least 15 points to get in, and the remaining of the score would be from the written portion, it was not a very popular option, but U.A. was a school for heroes, a school where people would work in the future as heroes or people working directly to them, so it was necessary parameter for the evaluation of every student.

Thanks to arriving at the same time, the four student candidates sat close to each other, and waited for the presentation to start.

Yamada Hizashi was nervous, he normally isn't nervous, but today was special, he was going to present the entrance exams to every new potential student of the school, he does this every year, but the insecurity that he won't receive a response from the audience is always present during this day, from all the presentations he did until now, only 2 occasions students responded.

Taking steps into the stage, he got a glimpse of a familiar mop of green hair, and his smile grew, "For all you examinee listeners tuning in, welcome to my show today!" he looked up, rising both his arms to the ceiling, "Everybody say 'hey'!"

Izuku right as he was saying it, remembered something Aizawa said, 'Zashi doesn't get much response from the crowds every year, so please help him out.'

Getting up from his seat, Izuku screamed from the top of his lungs, "HEY!", only getting surprised responses everywhere around him.

I knew I could count on you little listener, "Thanks for the response, little listener!" Positioning himself he continued his presentation. "Then I'll quickly present to you the rundown on the pratical exam! Are you ready!?"

Izuku picked up quickly what would happen and proceeded to get up again from his seat, this time accompanied by Toga, "YEAH!" Both screamed as Present Mic said, again only receiving surprised glances from those around them.

Present Mic continued his presentation accordingly to the plans, Izuku and Toga responding as he made his presentation, Ochako joining after some time later too, as he finished explaining on the faux villains, someone raised his hands.

"May I ask a question?" Izuku noticing that the person resembled Tensei a lot physically, guessed that this would be Iida Tenya, his little brother. Present Mic granting him permission to talk he continued. "On the printout, there are four types of villains. If that is a misprint, then U.A., the most prominent school in Japan, should be ashamed of that foolish mistake. We examinees are here in this place because we wish to be molded into exemplary heroes."

He his pretty different from Tensei though... Izuku thought, as the blue haired male turned around pointing straight to Izuku and his group.

"In addiction! You over there with the curly hair!" Iida glared at the green haired boy, his finger stuck in place, "You've been shouting from the beginning of the presentation, It's distracting! If you're here on a pleasure trip, then you should leave immediately!"

"How deep does this guy have a stick stuck on his ass?" Bakugo mumbled, making Ochako almost explode in laughter, but came unnoticed by everyone else.

"I'm sorry for disturbing you." Izuku simply said as he sat down, snickers and murmurs could be heard around him as he made himself comfortable in his chair again.

"Minigenium, you are stopping the whole presentation, do please sit down!" Toga called out from besides Izuku, gaining even more snickers and murmurs from the audience.13

Present Mic came to the rescue, interrupting what could be developing between Toga and Iida and continued his presentation, and then came the motto of the school, this time Izuku didn't scream with Ochako and Toga, Toga didn't question it, but Ochako did, but brushed it off as the warning from the 'angry blue haired guy'

General Education only students were gathered in the battle centers F and G, Izuku being on F and Toga on G.

Ochako found herself in the same battle center as the 'angry blue haired guy', but decided to ignore him and focus on the objective.

Bakugo was starting to fire some cracks from his quirk, to start sweating before entering the battle center, to give a little more of an advantage.

It finally started with a simple 'GO' from Present Mic, already prepared for this kind of thing, the 4 of them ran not waiting for the other participants to enter.

Ochako didn't waste time, as soon as she found one of the faux villains, her battle instincts kicked in, making the robot weightless and kicking it towards another two, properly timing it to drop him with his maximum weigh.

Bakugo was fast, thanks to Toga's evasion training, he was rushing through roads in matters of seconds, exploding every faux villain he came close to, "With this 19 points." He breathed out, as he cooled himself down from all the constant explosions.

Izuku didn't have a quirk, well he had one, but against robots he was the same as quirkless, using the memento from his running, he kicked the neck of one 1-pointer, giving him the opportunity to tinker with it, some seconds later Izuku had the 1-pointer arm in his hands and ready for use.

Not wasting another second, he made another faux villain rush to him and using the robot's memento and a very calculated angle, he stuck the robot's arm, from the first faux villain he encountered, to the ground and with that another faux villain down.

Some times attacking them with the arm, other times using the arm to defend himself and others, Izuku continued until the end of the test.

The General Education practitioners had the advantage that they could leave the battle ground with their points, before the time ending to finish their test early, and so Toga did, with only 3 minutes since the test started, Toga got about 25 points, using a single pipe from an alley, and smashing the faux villains without a care in the world, she actually looked bored as she did.

The last minute came and the 0-pointer appeared, many students as they laid eyes to the giant of a thing started running away, others decided to just change routes and hunt for other faux villains, some just gave up from the test and ran to the exit.

Bakugo wasn't even fazed as the giant robot appeared, not really caring for it, he propelled himself towards it, and made an explosion strong enough to destroy the faux villain and continue his hunt.

Ochako was shocked, she had no idea that U.A. would use such a dangerous thing, debris was flying all around, and she used that opportunity to help the people around her, at the same time collected vasts amount of debris and destroyed faux villains.

Noticing her limit, Ochako grabbed a bigger piece of a destroyed faux villain and used it as a bat to launch every piece she collected against the zero-pointer, successfully puncturing some holes in it that thankfully made it stop, without collapsing.

As Ochako was about to fall down, as the drawbacks of her quirk started acting up, a nice black haired guy lent her a shoulder, holding her arm and wrapping it around his neck to keep her standing, smiling at the brunette, the red-eyed and black haired male said, "That was so manly! You even helped everyone around! I followed your example and protected some too, that weren't able to avoid it! Really Manly!"

Ochako holding herself, keeping herself together to not barf, "But I'm a girl." She mumbled.

Izuku was using his remaining time to help other students, many students from the exam just ran to the exit, not even stopping, Izuku however noticed a girl stuck under the debris, the girl had black skin color, and was trying to get herself out of the debris.

Izuku rushed to her, using the destroyed faux villain's arm as leverage to lift the boulder on top of the girl, and from the looks of it, it ended up in not being a serious injury, she just had her foot stuck under the boulder.

Izuku noticed the girl's skin color change to a dark blue, but didn't mind it much, Izuku got the girl to a safer place, and the exam ended there, the girl thanked Izuku and he headed out.

Izuku was kind of exhausted, it was only 10 minutes, but Izuku was still not used to not having his body completely recovered because of his quirk, making him tired more frequently.

Meeting with the other three at the entrance of U.A., they told how it was for them and how many points they counted, Izuku counted somewhere between 20 to 30, Toga said that she got 25, Ochako couldn't get to 45, and Bakugo the impressive 75 points.

With the practical exam, the four already knew that they would get in, and the written exam was not bad, so they left U.A. with smiles, and smirks on their faces.

This was a cause for celebration so they invited Bakugo for dinner and had an extravagant meal.
