Chapter 5: The Sacrifice

Chloris was late, from a distance, she saw Zariel got cut up in half: "NOOO". She screamed helplessly. 

"Stop, you're not going to do that with everybody!". Chloris bolted toward Kiana, she kicked the blade out of her hands. 

"Swan Song". Odette sang out a white giant bird, it flew across Kiana's body. 

"Ah". Kiana can't feel her body anymore, she has been paralyzed. "You filthy low grade spirit!!".

Even though Odette isn't a fighter, she has pretty good supporting moves.

"Amelia must be busy dealing with another doll right?". Odette mocked Kiana viciously back. "Ambush is always the best move".

But they forget one thing. When the Star Guardian dies, their spirit guide won't be allowed to stay in the material world anymore. They will be transferred to the spiritual world immediately. Guiding their Star Guardian is the permission to be here.

"Psy Shock". An unexpected intensive wave length had been fired toward Odette and Chloris. It blasted them afar. 

"AH". Odette and Chloris screamed at the same time. 

"Sorry for being late, Kiana". Amelia teleported herself to where Kiana is floating right now. "Let me help you".

"No Amelia, you're on time". Kiana glanced softly at her.

"Dispel". The magical flow went through Kiana's body, it wiped out all the paralysis locks.

Amelia is the spirit guide of the Pluto Planet. She holds the power of mystery, the hidden ancient knowledge, and magic of the unknown. She knows all secrets and she is in the top 3 strongest spirit guides in war. That's why most of her abilities are both related to the spiritual attack.

"We have to be quick!". Odette just noticed the negative entity. "It's going to destroy the whole city".

"But how can we stop it?". Chloris pointed at Kiana. "She's literally standing right there blocking us!". 

"Do our best, take her down". Odette stared at Amelia, she was ready for everything to come. "Bring it on girls".

"Psychic Beam". Amelia didn't wait for them to start the battle, she shot out an offensive ray. 

"Wooaaaa". Odette and Chloris both flew aside, the ray went through the middle of them. Some of Chloris's hair was burned by the beam. 

"That was close". Odette was scared. Deep inside, she knew that she wouldn't stand a chance against Amelia. She was just doing her job. 

"Stone Edge". Odette formed a circle of small rocks around her, then she launched all of them. 

"Wicked Whip". Kiana's blade got longer by itself, she swung it around destroying every single throwing rock. "You still have time to run". Kiana threatened Chloris and Odette.

"No, Kiana! Please don't keep falling any deeper!". Chloris begged her old friend. "I don't want to hurt you". 

"Wishes of peace and unconditional love are delusional ideas". Kiana wielded her blade, she wanted to slash Chloris in half. 

"Nature Protection". A bubble of greenery covered Chloris's whole body, Kiana's blade bounced back after hitting the leafy surface. 

Yes, Chloris's ability is Nature. She has control over plants, earth, and animals. Her ability is great for assisting others, not being a main DPS. While that, Kiana is a perfect Star Guardian. Kiana has high defense and attack. Also, she is rapid too. Kiana is a difficult opponent to face. Because she is unpredictable and clever. 

"Psychic Ball". Amelia released a spiritual orb at Chloris. The barrier exploded leaving Chloris with a wounded body. 

Taking a heavy attack from Kiana was a lot for the barrier already. The power point between Chloris and Kiana was so far. 

"FOSSIL". At this time, Odette brought out her ultimate move. Many giant old looking rocks were created around her. Odette hurled each of them toward Kiana. 

In the moment of destroying these great rocks, it leaves Chloris an enough amount of time to escape. She flies away into a cave on the nearest hill and hides there.

"Good job my little girl". Odette thought. 

Within the veil of dust and smoke, Kiana and Amelia couldn't see anything. Odette quickly flashes into the cave and closes the entry by her magic. 

"Phew, thank gods you're still alive". Odette breathed heavily. 

"She's so strong". Chloris said fearlessly. "I guess the only way to save people is using the void transformation".

"Don't do it Chloris". Odette looked her Star Guardian in the eyes seriously. "You may lose yourself like last time".

Everything has its own cost. Even though Chloris survives and gets more powerful. She is capable of fighting against Kiana. However, if she uses the void transformation for a long time, the nowhere will consume her mind and consciousness. And then, Chloris will slowly turn into a lost negative one. 

"Trust me, I won't". Chloris in the present is standing in the middle of choices. One is running away watching everyone die, second is falling apart but everyone will be saved. Nevertheless, Chloris is a responsible person.

"Please-". When Odette was about to persuade Chloris, a spiritual signal rang. 

"Hello, we are coming, hold on!!". Another unfamiliar female voice. 

"Who are you?". Chloris was confused, she remembered that she didn't call for reinforcements. 

"I am Edith, the Star Guardian of the Cancer Constellation". The unfamiliar female voice introduced herself. "Beside me is Sapphire, the Star Guardian of the Pisces Constellation".

"Your spirit guide, Odette, has called us to assist!". Sapphire cheerfully spoke. "Don't worry, we have reached the second level of transformation". 

"Yeah don't look at me like that, I called them while we were battling against Kiana out there". Odette admitted the truth. "I don't trust you with your first level form and 'that' power''. Truth always hurts.

There are 5 levels of transformation that they can achieve through self development. First level form is Starix, second level form is Celestix, and third level form is Galatix. About the fourth and the fifth, no one has achieved it yet (they all got killed or sacrificed themselves for the highest good of all before reaching that level). The fourth form is called Haloix and the fifth form is called Supremix.

Higher than all these basic forms are special forms that Star Guardians will have to go through dimensions, trials, or divine challenges to obtain.
